I signed up for services from this company ******* on 8/9/24 with a free subscription to be billed in 30 days if not cancelled. I was billed immediately for $20. I tried for over 2 weeks to talk to a representative with no luck. I tried following their links to request a refund, but the links that they say in their article to go through, are not on the page. It just keeps repeating the same advise and loops the same page around. Then on 9/8 they put the $20 charge thru again. I'm afraid now that they have access to my account and there will be no way to stop them for charging whatever they want at any time!

    - Purchased ChatGPT Plus from iOS App Store - Unable to access account due to email conflict: ******************** is my iCloud account and also the email to login to my old ChatGPT account that I deleted - Created new ChatGPT account with different email, but when I bought subscription it linked my current iCloud email to my deleted ChatGPT account email - App shows error: subscription associated with another ChatGPT account - Attempted workaround (make new account ***************************************** and then restore subscription) suggested by OpenAI months ago the first time this happened was unsuccessful back then and now. (Slightly different situation back then as I had actually purchased the subscription with the ******************** ChatGPT account and then deleted it which actually seems more reasonable to say I forfeited my subscription although I still believe it was likely unlawful. This time is more egregious in that I created a new account and used a new payment method but my Apple ID I paid with linked me to the deleted account from a year ago even though I was logged in to the new ChatGPT account when I purchased).- OpenAI's help guide and human representative said I have to contact Apple Support back then and now their bot emails and messages me back on their support site saying the same thing;- Apple Support denies the power to do anything; says Im not entitled to a refund from ***** and its up to the developer to refund me or restore my subscription I paid for - Didnt get a refund or access to my account restored back then and looks like the same thing will happen now.- I reported Apple and OpenAI to the *** back then for this, and Im doing it again now because ***** just denied my request and then appeal for a refund and OpenAI hasnt had a human representative contact me back; so far Ive just gotten bot-written emails from OpenAI suggesting the same workaround.- note: my accounts are in good standing, no warnings, Ive never violated any policies.

To whom it may concern:I am writing to file a formal complaint against OpenAI regarding their service, which has consistently failed to meet the standards expected of a paid service. Specifically, I have encountered numerous technical issues that have rendered the service unusable on my mobile device, despite being a paying customer.Details of the ***************** Failures: The OpenAI app on my phone has failed repeatedly, forcing me to access the service through my MacBook instead. This issue has persisted despite my attempts to troubleshoot, including uninstalling and reinstalling the app.2.Cost Incurred Due to Service Failures: Due to the apps failure on my mobile device, I was forced to spend $20 on Wi-Fi at a truck stop to access the service on my MacBook. This is a cost I would not have incurred if the app functioned properly on my phone.3.Lack of Customer Support: I have reached out to ********************** multiple times regarding these issues and have not received adequate support or resolution. This lack of response has added to my frustration and inconvenience.4.Unacceptable Business Practices: I believe that OpenAIs failure to provide a functioning service, coupled with the additional costs I have had to bear, constitutes poor business practices. As a paying customer, I expect the service to work as advertised, and for technical issues to be resolved promptly.Resolution Sought:I am requesting a full refund for the $20 I was forced to spend on Wi-Fi to access the service due to the apps failure. Additionally, I would like assurance that OpenAI will address these technical issues so that other customers do not experience similar problems in the future.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and ***************,****** *****

Ever since ai came out ive been having lots of errors and glitches in so many different faucets. I strongly disagree with this technology and how its used against people. I also searched for information on how to heal your own teeth to test it which it did not have. Ai if i approved of it would give you all the medical information to heal your self, even do your own surgeries and make your own medicine. Also needs to be able to answer questions about *** and trans issues. Dont want to be apart of it.

They offer a subscription (free and paid), and what they claim is free is impossible to access, forcing users to pay if they want to get any services. If you check my first attached image (Screenshot 1) you will see that the free plan says "access to GPT-4o mini". That is a lie. The ONLY way you can access the mini model is AFTER the full price model has given you an output, you can then CHOOSE to rerun the same process again with the mini model. What this means is if a free user runs out of uses for the full model, they are locked out of the entire service completely. I've also attached a second screenshot (Screenshot 2) that is from OpenAI's official developer help form, in which users are reporting the same issue.

I held a premium OpenAI subscription for several months under the impression that the company and its AI language model did not retain personal information. It was clearly communicated to me many times it did not retain any information. As it turns out it not only retained my personal information but the company was using it to train their models which I had very clearly opted out from. When I raised these issues the company directed me to additional resources to make these requests even though they had made it clear personal data was not retained. In other words, they lied and misled about how they were utilizing customers personal data using the product. I used it as a tool and never would have used it had they not guaranteed data was not retained. I caught them when the model accidentally let a detail slip that it no longer had access to in my chat history. This company is abusing consumer rights and data protections and is in violation of its own guidelines and privacy agreements. They should be very clear about how they are using consumer data and what exactly is being retained.

I operate a small independent website. Around 06/21/2024 I received a warning from my website provider about exceeding my traffic bandwidth for the month. When I reviewed my traffic logs traffic from OpenAI/gptbot had accessed my website thousands of times over the course of a few days using nearly all 10GB of my allotted traffic.06/21/2024 I reached out to OpenAI via their customer support ********/**/*************************** responded and instructed me how to block them from scraping my website in the future. 06/29/2024 I responded and requested they remove my copywritten data from their training models.06/29/2024 I received a response that informed me of information retention periods, but they did not address removing the data that was already scraped.07/01/2024 I responded that I believe they had misunderstood my question, and clarified that I'm requesting the data that was already scraped be removed from their systems. The same day, OpenAI responded with information on how to opt-out of of chat content and chat history, which was not related to my request and did not address my question. I responded again with more clarification that I'm requesting the data that was already scraped be removed from their systems, and that I'm not asking about any of their chat apps.I received no follow-up to my email on 07/01/2024, and on 07/06/2024 asked for a follow-up to my original request. As of 07/13/2024 they have not responded to or addressed my complaint that they have scraped copywritten data from my website without consent. My concern is that this company has used all of my website traffic, which I pay for, to steal my data without my consent so that they can train their models and make money from my work. On top of that, I seem to have no control over how they store, use, or profit from the scraped data, and they refuse to acknowledge or resolve the problem. All I'm asking is that they remove my website data and send me confirmation of the action.

Hello,I have not had access to ChatGPT since Saturday 7/6/24. No matter what I've tried, I get a message that my account appears to have been deleted or deactivated. Then it says to reach out to the open AI team if this is an error. It was an error because I use this almost everyday and did not delete or deactivate my account, so I looked up how to contact them, and they only have two methods. 1 is to login to the account, which I can't do, and 2 was to reach out to them through their chat. I contacted them through the chat, which I uploaded here. After a few automated questions, I was told I would hear from someone in 3 days, which seemed long. Thankfully, I heard from someone within a few minutes, but that's where my kind words end. I got a canned response that didn't apply to my situation. I responded within 3 minutes, saying that I didn't delete or deactivate my account and need it fixed. And that was the last time I ever heard from them. Since then, I've sent at least 30 messages asking when I will get a response or when someone will fix the issue, but it's like shouting into a void. I looked up a phone number for them on "pissed consumer," but it never rings; it just goes straight to voicemail. I've left at least 20 voicemails asking if someone would call me back or fix the issue. But again, nothing. Through both methods, I warned them that I would file a complaint if they didn't respond, yet nothing. I also told them I will block the credit card charge if they try to charge me since I'm currently paying $20 a month for a service I can't use. I even tried a few suggested fixes (from ********* like clearing my cache and cookies, but the only thing that did was delete the conversation I was in with Open AI. So if you look at the file, you'll see it doesn't start Saturday for that reason. The file is the second conversation I'm currently in. I just want my access to ChatGPT backand more responsive customer service for users in the future.

Yes. It only took 3 days after complaining here for it to get resolved. I had tried for a week before that on my own.

I tried to cancel my auto-renew, and it didn't work the first time, so my ChatGPT plus subscription renewed, so I went to unsubscribe again, and this time it worked, but now I have to try and get a refund. The help section, "updated a week ago" claims there is an area to request a refund, but this area mentioned doesn't actually exist. If you click the bubble at the bottom right, and search for refund, it just brings up the article again, telling you to click the bubble on the bottom right, so its an endless loop/circle of going nowhere.

I purchased the subscription and within 7 days, my account was suspended due to "violation of terms." I read their terms and there were no violations. I have contacted customer service, but still to this day have not heard from them. Their "chat box" says they respond within 3 days and it has now been 7 since the first time I contacted them and 5 since the second time. I paid $20 for the first month and have only been able to use said subscription for less than 7 days. An AI bot COULD have mistaken something as a violation, but it wasn't a violation. But since I haven't been able to speak with anyone at OpenAi, this can't be explained. I had just purchased a class that included a *** for $50 teaching me how to use that ***. Using this *** requires a paid subscription, so I am now out that money, as well, since the *** is unusable without the subscription. And I am losing money every day because I used that *** for my job. I know I am not the first person this has happened to as I have searched this online and it seems to be a common complaint AFTER people have purchased a subscription.
