Discord permanently suspended my account (i.e, blocked all functions of the service) for allegedly violating their Terms of Service specifically, the Child Safety guidelines.The issue is that the meme I posted did not contain any harmful or abusive material related to children. I submitted several support requests via Discords support page; however, each was met only with automated responses. I received four such messages, none of which included any explanation or clarification of the case. Three simply instructed me to open a new ticket rather than reply to an existing one, and one contained only a generic link to the Terms of Service.Every request I submitted was closed (marked as solved) approximately two hours after being created again, with no meaningful response from Discord. The appeals (which were meant to verify the ban) were marked as denied, but again with generic bot responses that failed to explain the reasoning behind the ************* is also important to note that I was suspended twice for the same single post. The first suspension was temporary (two years), and after submitting an appeal, I immediately received a permanent suspension before the appeal had even been officially reviewed or denied.The image in question did not contain ****** or explicit sexual content. It was a meme shared in a humorous context. My account was suspended in March of 2025 regarding claimed "violent extremism" ToS violations from a server that has since now been removed. I had initially requested an appeal regarding these inaccurate and false circumstances and was at first given a vague and presumably automated response with no follow up contact. I had attempted an appeal once again and was informed my account was instead "temporarily limited" with no follow up contact being made either.Following up to the suspension, my account was an idle member of said server and my only purpose for joining was to follow updates for a popular off-platform content creator that had owned the server. I ignored involvement in server conversations and was overall unaware that there was engagement in this unacceptable behavior.I believe that the action taken was unjust and invalid, and that I wish for my case to be reviewed by proper support. On 7/22/25, I had found that my account was put on very limited status due to a server's actions regarding child safety - a server where I was inactive and had no part in. I recognize that Discord treats anything involving child safety seriously and strictly, however upon recieving the violation I was provided no explanation on what I might have done in the server to get hit with the warning. I do not condone any sort of CSAM content whatsoever; and since no evidence has been provided to me upon my warning that would support getting the violation from that server, I don't believe the violation is fair. I'd like a proper human staff member review the issue as this has been an incredibly distressing experience for me as I use this account for all manners of contact. I am reaching out through here because I have attempted to reach out via Discord's support tickets and look towards getting the violation lifted, however I have heard nothing but automated bot answers through said system.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: This is an automated response, I know this for certain as I have received an email like this word for word when I had contacted Discord's support during the initial report. Once again, I recognize that issues of child safety are truly worth prioritizing. But there still has been no explanation provided to me that explains what I could have done within the server to provoke the violation. I had no contact with anyone in the server. I had no interaction with any sort of material in the server; I was inactive there as stated before. I am not sure what could have been the case at all even then because, again, I have been given no exact details on how I got the violation - which gives me the impression there really was nothing I could have actively done to get my account marked. Unless I can be given an explanation that I did something significant in that server which properly reflects my violation, I can't take this matter lightly. 3 or 4 days ago, I tried to add someone that is not in my contact list and saw it was the wrong one so I deleted the friend request then tried again then same thing then the phone verification came because Discord probably though I was a bot or something for trying to add too many peoples fast, but I don't have a phone even that I'm 30 years old because I do everything on my laptop and don't feel the need to have a phone, I'm mostly a gamer that game on my laptop and PS5, so I asked some of my friends for their number and they all already have used it on their discord, so I need a way to bypass that phone verification by a another way to verificate or just what I say here must be enough to make you know Im not a bot and Im a real human, email verification would be really nice, or even any other method that don't require a phone.I emailed Discord support and they won't do anything, first it start with a bot called ***** that re-ask me the same question about what the phone number I want to use after I tell her several time that I don't have a phone, then after all those messages, they end up having someone else that maybe a human sending me a message that they won't remove the phone verification thing making me still locked out of my account then change the ticket statut to resolved even that they did not resolve it, so I open another ticket then this time I ask for a another way to verificate, same thing happen then someone else come and say the same thing but with different word meaning the same thing, then I ask for a suggestion because I have no phone and they just close the ticket as resolved then I open a 3rd ticket and same thing as 1rst ticket with ***** the bot and now it closed as resolved for no reason, everytime I re-open it by asking what to do, they ignore it and close the ticket without saying anything, here are the 3 tickets number: #******** #******** #********Business Response

My messages did not violate Discord's Child Safety policy. The reported content is advocating AGAINST pedophilia and does not sexualize children in any way. My messages stated that it is inappropriate to make children vulnerable and were maliciously and falsely reported in a mass wave spanning years. I am receiving the same automated AI response despite a request for manual review and an overturning of this false decision. My messages do NOT constitute a violation of Discord's Child Safety policy, as I am actively advocating AGAINST the harm of children. This is likely due to an automated recognition of certain key words on messages that have been maliciously and repeatedly falsely reported. I am requesting for the next response to overturn the violation, restore my account, and explain the perceived violation of the policy. I have used this service for 9 years, bought Discord Nitro multiple times, and have never had a violation until now, as a result of repeated malicious reports of years-old messages, all occurring in the span of 1-2 weeks, none of which are violations of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. The transparent reading of my messages is advocating against pedophilia, and/or speaking directly to pedophiles and insulting them. It is only the out-of-context grammar of the sentences that could remotely misconstrue what is being said, but even alone it is immediately obvious that it is speaking negatively of pedophilia. Given that these violations all stacked on old messages until they resulted in a suspension, I have not even been able to engage with Discord's warning system. I cannot change my behavior to work within this faulty system, which I must reiterate, has resulted in false violations on my account in every instance. It is also intensely frustrating that your system can be abused by malicious actors in such a way and that you do not have flags to detect mass false reports. This same thing has happened to multiple people I know, none of which violated Discord's policies either, all resulting from the same malicious individual spamming false reports. One person I know was able to overturn a single one of their violations, and I am requesting the same thing to be done here so that my account can be reinstated.

I am filing this complaint on the basis that I was falsely suspended/banned by Discord off of their platform. I have done nothing wrong and I believe that the suspension placed on my account should be lifted and for the account to be reinstated. The suspension happened back in July 12. I have already made several tickets but I have not received a single reply from a real human. All of the given responses to my tickets were either ignored, or was automated without having a real human take into detail the ticket submitted and carefully examined.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:There still has been no action taken by a real human in regards to my case because in my 7 years of using Discord, I have never been doing anything that has been violating Discord Terms of Service and I have only gotten these random Child Safety violations when Discord has switched over to its AI moderation which scans messages but does not consider context in which why the message was sent and in turn has caused me getting a violation without ever knowing what I may have sent to trigger it. Moreover, Discord has been very lackluster in dealing with tickets often ignoring my responses leaving me open ended, hence I do not accept their decision.
A settlement I can accept if Discord insists I have violated their Terms of Service would be the removal of the second violation of my account that caused the permanent suspension. To reinstate my account and place it on a temporary limit because if Discord cannot give an explanation to which message led to my suspension, then this is the most fair settlement that I ask for.
