This complaint is being filed because I was permanently suspended off of Discord after my account was hacked and I have not received a response to my appeal ticket. The permanent suspension occurred on April 13, 2025. I was able to gain access back to my account after it was hacked, but I have not been able to use it due to the permanent suspension Discord had implemented after the hacker made false reports on my account. I have filed appeal tickets regarding the ban with evidence of the hacker contacting me and attempting to blackmail me, but I have not received a response to my ticket in over two months (the last response was on 04/14/2025). I have attempted to contact Discord Support several times through various means since then regarding my appeal, but I have continued to get no response. This wait time has prevented me from using the Discord Nitro subscription I had paid for on the account, and I have lost close to $18 worth of subscription time just from how long I have waited on a response from support.I havent done anything wrong and I believe my suspension should be lifted and my account reinstated.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I understand higher than usual ticket volume occurs, but it has been 66 days and I have yet to hear any response from Discord Support whatsoever despite attempting follow *** after the first month. Not being able to resolve the ticket is one thing, but it is another to not even provide a response when I have a paid subscription active. This is especially true when I see users posting online about being banned and unbanned much quicker during this same time frame. I also assume that this time will not be refunded to me despite Discord Support being at fault for the time lost. I cannot accept this response while Support is actively wasting the money I have spent.

I was flagged by the auto moderation system despite doing nothing wrong. I want my suspension lifted as it is false and extremely unfair. I put an image of the reason in the attachments. I've used this account to contact friends and family, When have I ever threatened a child's safety on discord? Children aren't even allowed on discord and I've lost all my data. Me and my family are contemplating suing this corrupt corporation if nothing is done about this false ban. I WANT to speak to a real human being. In the 10th of February of this year my Discord account was permanently disabled without any detailed explanation. The only message I received referred vaguely to a violation of child safety rules, but no specifics were provided regarding what content or action led to the ban.I have never knowingly violated Discords rules, and I have requested clarification through their support channels multiple times. However, all I received were automated responses that offered no actual review or *********** this day, my account still appears in the Discord server I used to own, which suggests it has not been fully deleted. This, along with the lack of any direct appeal process or human review, makes the entire process feel unfair and lacking in *************** not requesting special treatment just a clear explanation of what rule was allegedly violated and whether there is a way to appeal the decision. Discord has claimed that my account violated their rules, but has refused to provide any specific details or evidence, despite multiple requests through support and this BBB complaint. The only information I received was a vague reference to child safety, which is a serious and damaging allegation.
I was not given a clear explanation, the opportunity to appeal, or a fair process just a permanent ban without due transparency. I understand Discord has policies to protect its platform, but users also have the right to understand why action was taken against them, especially when no specific rule or incident has been explained.

Hello there, on the 22nd of May, I received from Discord 2 falsely claimed violations of their terms of service without any sort of reason given as to why I had received them (such as an incriminating message or server), this lead to me permanently losing access my account without any sort of way to fix it. I have tried going through Discord's internal complaints process but instead of getting to explain my situation and properly speak to a human I was instead given multiple computer generated responses telling me that they will not reinstate my account for absolutely no reason even though I had asked for one in my emails. I am thus lead to believe that my account was banned unfairly, either by an AI/computer or by someone outside mass reporting my messages, since after talking to others in my situation, that is what the general consensus on false bans are. It is also worth noting that Discord mass bans people, that is, permanently suspends hundreds if not thousands of accounts at a time (they like to give child safety as a reason to ban these people, even though they tend to have done nothing to endanger a child's safety, I had remembered seeing a screenshot of someone banned for saying "yuh'. In the last quarter of 2023 Discord banned over ******* accounts for this "reason") with more often than not indiscriminate and false reasons. I'd like to request the BBB to help me reinstate my account as the internal process from Discord has proven to be useless and incompetent at its job and all my other pathways for reinstatement have been exhausted.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The response given by Discord is unsatisfactory, it is the same computer generated one given to all users and it refers them to their account standing page, something which does not give any information apart from the fact that I was suspended two times, one of them permanently, for the reason of "child safety" which they seem to use for a lot of false bans. It is also worth noting that some of my in-person friends also got banned on the exact same day with the exact same behaviour (in the sense of two violations given in quick succession) and for the same reason.
My complaint also arises from the fact that no evidence was given for my suspension, apart from the words "child safety", no messages, no more info. It is also quite suspicious since these two violations were given in the exact same second, perhaps hinting at the lack of human decisions in the decision to ban. There is no actual reason given in the sense that I have not received any evidence of any messages/actions which I made in order to merit the ban.
This is why I am either requesting Discord to reinstate my account in the case that they have no evidence apart from "you got banned" or that they provide evidence of actual "child-endangering" messages which I made in order to merit the ban, which if they don't, would be considered a false ban and unfair for me to stay banned, especially considering since Discord was the main way I communicated with friends, online and offline, and with which I also support my friends who need it. I have held this account for almost 5 years (from my recollection) and I have been a loyal user of ********************** since the creation of my account, so I find it quite upsetting that I receive this sort of customer support from a company which I used to appreciate.

Discord banned my account in January 2025 for "Impersonation". The "impersonation" occurred in my own personal server of which only I was a member of. I used this server to dump information for later. I have not impersonated anyone and did not break the Discord terms of service. On top of this, they banned every account ever linked to my device/IP, so family members had their account/s terminated and I had old accounts with memories on them terminated as well. I have reached out multiple times to Discord through their support form but either dont get a reply or an automated message. I am very upset about this situation. I am rejecting this response because: it does not address the core concerns raised in my complaint.
Discord states that they sent me a DM on 6/6/25 explaining that I violated their Terms of Service. However, that message was generic, provided no specific details about what conduct allegedly violated the rules, and did not reference any evidence, dates, or content. It simply directed me to a standard account standing page without context.
My primary concern, as detailed in my complaint, is the lack of transparency and absence of meaningful human review. Like many other users who filed through the BBB, I made multiple attempts to appeal through Discords internal system, but only received automated responses with no indication that anyone reviewed the specific circumstances of my case.
For these reasons, I am again requesting:
A detailed explanation of what content or activity on my account was found to violate Discords Terms of Service.
A human-led review of my account and the context surrounding this alleged violation, including the fact that I have no history of misconduct and actively moderated a mental health support server disrupted by this ban.
I want to resolve this matter fairly. I am simply asking for the same level of human review and reconsideration that many other Discord users have ultimately received after bringing similar issues to the BBB.

I am rejecting this response because: Discords latest reply simply repeats the same generic statement that was sent on 6/6/25. It does not address any of the specific concerns raised in my BBB complaint, such as:
What exact conduct or content on my account allegedly violated the Terms of Service?
Was any human actually involved in reviewing my appeals before deciding to uphold the ban?
Given that I was banned solely for passive membership in a misleadingly labeled server (with no engagement in rule-breaking activity), why am I being denied a meaningful review?
The only information Discord continues to provide is a generic statement to refer to the account standing page, which contains no concrete details, evidence, or rationale for the action taken.
As countless other BBB complaints demonstrate, Discord often reverses bans after being prompted by the BBB to perform a proper human review. I am only requesting the same fair process: a real review by a human moderator, with either reinstatement or a clear explanation based on actual evidence.

A close personal friend of mine has recently been suspended from Discord, an ***************** despite a lack of demonstrated evidence to justify the suspension. As he resides outside of *****************, he was unable to file a complaint with the BBB--thus, at his request I am submitting his complaint on his behalf as we regularly communicate through Discord's service. The following is his complaint: "I am filing this complaint due to my account being falsely suspended from discord, with no prior warnings or evidence, under the pretense of "Child Safety" violations, which is frankly absurd. My discord is under the username "Boigrub". I genuinely haven't done anything wrong and I believe my account should be reinstated and unsuspended. The suspension in question occurred on June 14th, 2025 at approximately 8:49pm GMT. I have put forward a support ticket and waited patiently but have only gotten a bot response, nothing from a human, this was clearly an automated response issued without someone actually looking at my ticket, because I requested a review of my account which had not yet been done when the bot response came through, which only further proves there was no human intervention. This is extra alarming, due to the fact the bot informed me that the suspension would stand, despite providing no requested evidence of any wrongdoing at all. On top of this, Discord informed me my suspended account would be suspended until 2027, however its been seen many times that suspended accounts are deleted within ***** days after suspension."Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The email attached to the complaint is my personal one. As I stated in my last message, ****************************************** is the email associated with the disabled discord account, as can be seen in the attached images. Also in the attached images is the automated response of the bot responsible for the refusal to reinstate--contacted through the website at ************************* its failure to provide any evidence or even specify which Term of Service or Community Guideline was violated. Unless this information, i.e. what violation occurred and evidence he performed such a violation, is presented, his account ought to be reinstated. Again, ****** can address any questions regarding his account through his email at ******************************************.

This complaint is being filed because I was falsely suspended by Discord off of their platform.I havent done anything wrong and I believe my suspension should be lifted and my account reinstated.This suspension had occurred in around June of 2025.I tried making multiple tickets with discord support, but I havent gotten a single reply from a real human back.Business Response
