This complaint is being filed because I was falsely suspended by Discord off of their platform.I havent done anything wrong and I believe my suspension should be lifted and my account reinstated. The suspension had occurred on September 3, 2025.I tried making appealing through 2 different ways, one way was through the in-application appeal system and the ticket system. The appeals sent through the in-app appeal system were rejected using an automated system while the appeals sent through the ticket system were simply marked as "Solved" without even a response from the company, with the most recent one being instantly marked within just 2 hours.I believe it's unfair to be treated this way after using Discord for 8 years with no violations. I can even give out some additional context regarding why I sent the message that got me suspended if I can only get in contact with a real human employee.Business Response

The company has enforced a wrongful ban against my account and as a result, I have lost access to message logs from a friend who has sadly passed away. I sent an appeal and was met only with an automated response enforcing the ban. I have not broken the rules on Discord and have been trying to find a way back to that account for 2 weeks. I am willing to give them access to my private conversations and hope that their team sees that any reports and/or flags that led to the ban are false.Business Response

Hello,I recently received a notice from Discord stating that my account has been limited due to a violation of the Community Guidelines. However, I must point out that the situation seems very unusual the system indicates that the violation occurred over 500 days ago, which does not seem reasonable. Since then, I have not engaged in any behavior that should be considered a ************ addition, I rarely send messages on Discord and primarily use the platform to stay in touch with friends. I lost access to an old school email. I attempted to change the email to a new one and discord would not allow it without access to the old email. After contacting discord support they stated they could do nothing and I had to log in to the old email (that I no longer have access to) in order to change the email. Despite multiple ways to verify that it is my account, such as knowledge of the security questions, access to the phone number linked with the account, AND the authenticator app that is linked with the account, they still provide no assistance in simply changing my ******** is ridiculous that a company can be so supremely unhelpful in assistance with a simple email change that I have to go through the BBB in order to have any hope of getting my account back so I dont lose complete access to all of my friends that I've made over the years. There is no way to even speak with a representative at this massive company to assist in any kinds of tech support.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because the issue is not resolved. I still have had no support with regards to accessing my account despite being able to supply all necessary information that may be required to verify my identity/phone number. It is ridiculous that I have received no help from a human being and any responses I have received are from a chat bot email. It is further ridiculous that Discord cannot assist in any way to change an email address from an email that has been deleted to one that is functioning, despite having my phone number linked to the discord account and knowing all of the information associated with the account. Providing assistance to consumers of your business in the smallest way is imperative for any company, and something as small as an email change should be well within Discord's ability to support their consumers with a relatively simple matter as this.

I also understand youre unable to reset your password or change your email because all verification and reset links are being sent to the inaccessible email, and youre requesting a manual update of your email address.
If you're attempting to change the email associated with your Discord account credentials, you will need access to your email address in order to complete the required verification. With that in mind, I'd recommend you reach out to your email provider and attempt to regain access to your address.
Otherwise, sadly for security reasons, we cannot change your email, and your best bet would be to create a new account. I'm so sorry for all the inconvenience.

I am submitting this complaint because I was falsely banned on Discord. On September 10th, I was banned for 'ban evasion,' however, I have never used any other Discord account on your app besides one, which is the one associated with this account. I've used your app for over 7 years, which makes no sense to ban me. I believe my suspension should be lifted because I have never engaged in any type of behavior that goes against Discord's TOS. I made a ticket regarding my situation, but only got a bot reply. Also, before I was banned, I changed my user to something I was passionate about that was likely involved with a banned user. Dear Discord ************** Team, I hope this message finds you well. Im writing in regard to my appeal submitted under Ticket #********, in the hope that a human reviewer might kindly take a moment to personally look into my case. I was banned for being in a server that I had actually reported to Discord ************** due to serious concerns. I did not engage or participate in any harmful activity within that server; my only intent was to report the violations I observed, as I believed it was the right thing to do. Unfortunately, I believe my presence there may have been misinterpreted. Ive submitted an appeal directly through the ticket system, along with screenshot evidence showing my account ban had previously been liftedsuggesting there may have been some recognition of this misunderstanding in the past. I deeply miss my account and the community I had built over the years. I genuinely care about upholding Discord's guidelines and acted in good faith by reporting the server. I am rejecting this response because: Is there anyway someone can please allow me to appeal to a human to directly explain what happened. I was banned for a server that I reported. I did not stay in the server at all to violate terms of service. And I did not participate at all in this discord server. I was reporting the discord server to trust and safety. I may have to file arbitration, as I have not been able to speak to a human. And I have not been able to appeal to a human about what happened. The server that I joined, I reported it for violating the rules and left. I did not stay in this server at all. Please someone give me a manual review for my account as this is a misunderstanding.
