In April of 2024, my Discord account received 2 community guidelines strikes for simply being a member of 2 separate communities. I was not aware that these communities were involved in malicious activity, I was simply invited to the communities and my account remained in them, but I did not use them. The communities were banned off the platform a long time after I joined them, and I was not sent any warning to leave the communities before hand. I contacted Discord to lift these strikes off my account, but they did not respond with a real human. Instead, I received a pre-written response, and my case was closed before I was even given the chance to plead my case. I would like these two community guidelines strikes lifted off my account, as I have not engaged in any form of fraud, and these strikes are false.I believe this is unfair. As a loyal customer since 2016, I should be allowed to speak to a real human about my case. I should not be marked for violating Discord's policies, when I did not, in fact, engage in any policy violations.Business Response

This complaint is being filed because I was falsely suspended from my main account for ban evasion and previously malicious content. The suspension happened after I sent a link that said "NSFW," but it was just a Ditto dancing video on Discords platform nothing inappropriate at all.I havent done anything wrong, and now even my alt account which I only use to join an 18+ servers that has rules against anything related to children and I am sure they did have rules against it has been banned for child safety off of proxy for the entire server being banned for some reason that I am not aware to. Hello,I have been using Discord's service for around 9 years and have been a paid member for around 4 years. (I paid $10 monthly since 2021) My discord username is PrinceYonael and the email associated with it is yonael.****@yahoo.com.I was suddenly banned from their service last night and I sent them an appeal to which they have not given me any information. Hi, My Discord account was recently deactivated after a purported breach of child safety regulations. This ban shocked me greatly since I would never do anything that breaks those rules. Following some research on my side, I found that my computer had been infected with malware for more than two years. I start to think this virus may have damaged my Discord activity or sent unapproved content through my account without my knowledge or intention. I submitted an appeal to Discords Trust & Safety team, but my request was refused without any obvious explanation. I never had the chance to clarify or offer proof. I am appealing for a re-evaluation of the ban with all context. I have since cleaned the virus off my machine and am prepared to completely cooperate to confirm my identity and purpose. Hello,I'm the owner of a discord server with just under ****** users. As far as I know, it is one of the most active servers on the platform despite there being much larger servers associated with brands/video games. We've been around since 2017 and have hosted many major events with public figures, including sitting elected government officials. In 2022, Discord disabled my account with no warning. The email I was given as explanation claimed that I 'maliciously shared personal information', but I know I did not do this. Over the last few years I've tried repeatedly to get them to explain what exactly I did to justify disabling an account I'd been using to network with massive figures for the community but they've never given me an explanation. I have no hope of getting that account back, but the current username is: ************* The issue now is that account owns the server and discord is refusing to transfer server ownership to another admin or to my new account. They've given us no reason for this and we know of recent cases where they have transferred ownership without issue.They've actually told us to just make a new server, which is ridiculous given the tens of thousands of hours of collective effort over the years it's taken to build this one with no big brand to back us and no help from discord(IE, removing us from the server discovery feature with no explanation and refusing to provide an explanation or reinstate access.)As I said, our server has a very active and engaged community. There are many more made my both myself and other server admins because we were desperate to have the ownership transferred.

According to the notice I received, the reason for the ban was allegedly due to sharing non-consensual adult content. This accusation is completely unfounded. At no point did I share any content that violated Discords Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. I am following up on my original complaint regarding Discords unjustified ban of my account, which occurred the week of May 29, 2025. I have now received two responses from Discord Trust & Safety. Both were generic form letters stating that my account was disabled for violating their Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. Neither message contained any actual explanation, evidence, or opportunity to dispute the accusation. My account was banned under the claim of non-consensual adult contenta claim I firmly deny.
I have not violated any of Discords rules. All content shared had explicit, informed, and documented consent from the parties involved. Discord has provided no proof, no reference to specific content, and has refused to engage in meaningful dialogue. The account standing page they reference contains no actual evidence or details.
To make matters worse, they marked my support ticket as solved while refusing to review the issue in good faith or offer any opportunity for correction.
I respectfully request that Discord be held accountable for:
Failing to provide specific information regarding the alleged violation;
Denying me due process and the opportunity to appeal effectively;
Wrongfully banning an account without investigation;
Closing communication and ignoring formal rebuttals.
