1 starThey get one star because zero is not possible. Truth finder is a joke if you want proof just look yourself up. All they do is search public records for anything with your name on it. Then they make you wait so long during their bogus search that you feel compelled to pay for the results that you could find by doing your own search. The information is not what youre looking for but there sure is a lot of it like places where a person lived 28 years ago woo hoo. 1 starI called customer service to complain about my background check that I ran on myself. Half of. The information they sent me was wrong ,it wasn't mine,. The customer service *** said that information we provide. Is not going to be accurate, it's only for informational purposes only,so they expect t you to pay for false information!??!!seriously!?!!this should be illegal, it's definitely a scam ,stay away from these people.

1 starMisleading. In the loading screen before I purchased, it said the person I was searching for was on a government watch list, had criminal history, and had graphic content. I even had to verify I was 18+. After I paid, the report literally had no information except family relatives, phone numbers (wrong phone numbers), and emails (again, wrong). 1 starTruthfinder hijacked/STOLE my account and personal information from InstantCheckmate. Once my report with InstantCheckmate was completed I received a popup in my right lower screen that said you report is ready click here to see it and get it emailed if you want. I clicked on the message and it immediately showed it was downloading and I would receive my report soon. Then it opened up a payment page at which point it charged me $14.16, then wanted another $3.99 and then asked for $7.99. After robbing my bank, i looked at a very unprofessional report that had maybe 1/4 of my information, mostly a couple of addresses and names and then MANY ADDRESSES AND NAMES THAT I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ASSOCIATION WITH! There was nothing like I was seeing under InstantCheckmate with their popups and questions/statements it was making. The data it did show was many years old! Since it was late in the evening I couldn't call. I than began researching and realized that Truthfinder and InstantCheckmate are own by an umbrella company. They were sued and fined $5.8 million dollars for fraud and *********** I was able to call InstantCheckmate who stated they couldn't find an account for me when ALL OF MY INFORMATION I SUBMITTED WAS ENTERED ON THEIR SITE, NOT TRUTHFINDER! I called truthfinder who did find my information and told them that what they did by hijacking my account directly away from the site I was signed into has to be illegal! I want my money back and I want it known what this people are doing to steal from consumers! This feels like a scam and at most fraud because I DID NOT enter my information for Truthfinder to hijack my account and provide such limted horrible outdated information! Wrong information.I did receive cancellation notices for those 3 things I paid for, however I was told I would be refunded the entire amount but I have yet to receive an email showing me that. I want a refund immediately!Truthfinder
