      BBB -On Nov 7, 2023 I used Intelius to do a reverse telephone look up. I paid $.95 + $3.99 for information - not helpful - my mistake. Today, I saw a pending charge on change card for $34.95 for one-month of subscription service. Going back I see the email receipt states 5-day trial and in terms I've actually signed up for monthly subscription. All after initial $4.95 transaction. I have cancelled service but disagree with paying $34.95 for a month I didn't think I signed up for. I've attached email from Intelius on Nov. 7. This should not be a BBB A+ business.FYI - In hindsight, I see that the subscription information was provided - in the email thanking me for the original purchase. All very deceptive until I figure out what's happened.Thanks,*******************

      11/11/2023 I see their add, click on their website and Im offered a trial membership for $1 for unlimited reports.I sign up, run a report, and get charged another $4.25 for a report that has nothing but name, number (which I already knew) and some addresses. I has absolutely nothing to do with what they advertise.

      I ordered a single background check and did not ask for a subscription. I was charged for over 6 months a monthly fee that was not authorized.

      On 11/4/23 I sent an email People Connect instructing them to remove my private information from the website. I haven't received any response back and I'm extremely concern that my information hasn't been removed. I fear for my safety and I don't consent to my privacy details being made public. Please help.

      I have been getting harassing phone calls from a ** phone number. They refuse to identify their company stating that they need to speak to me about a "personal business matter" and then refuse to speak without me giving them personal data (SSN, birth date). My number is on the national do not call registry so I ******d how to find who is calling and Intelius was one of the companies that ****** cited. So I signed up for the trial only to wait a couple days to get an email telling me that they were unable to find who the number belongs to. Of course there is no customer service number to speak to anyone. Yet another internet company who wants you to pay them for nothing. Customers have literally no way to validate that they even did anything. Just another give us your money for us to give you no product type of scam. This should be illegal!

      I used this service for a one time look up and had the understanding they were going to charge me $.95. Declined all of the additional add ons. They charged me $34.95 6 days later and have continued to do so each month. I finally caught these unauthorized deductions on our credit card bill. The original customer service number continued to be busy. Our credit card company gave us a different number to call. I called the second number and was on hold for 15 min (recording stated it was a 4 min wait time). I cannot get a hold of them to cancel. It says could cancel automated service but why would I even trust that when theyve been taking money without me even knowing!

I requested to have my information removed from their site and they sent an e-mail response informing me that I would need to provide them with my personal information such as my telephone number to have my information removed. This company should let me know what email address I need to verify in order to delete this information, per the California Consumer Privacy Act, but they have not done so. I request that Intelius deletes all of the information it has collected about me, whether directly from me, through a third party, or through a service provider.       In mid June 2023 I used Intelius *********** for 2 items and paid the token fee.Intelius require that you become a member for a monthly fee and this can be canceled within 5 days. I canceled the monthly payment an since July. Intelius has billed me $ ***** an amount much greater than listed on their web, 4 months at $ *****. or $ ****** I realized the this is a late request but at 86 I am greatful to my wife who asked what this monthly fee was for. I no longer have this account at Regions and request a check be mailed to be

      Customers are able to cancel online from within their account, through our Customer Phone Support, or by sending an email to [email protected]. After a thorough investigation, we have determined that no cancellation attempts were made through any of these channels.
