      I have repeatedly tried to opt out of having my full name, phone number, current address, previous addresses, email addresses, and family relationships displayed on Intelius. However, their opt-out tool does not function properly, and my support requests have been ignored. I am filing this complaint in the hope that they will finally remove my personal information, which is listed on the following page: ******************************************************

      We were able to locate a background report and validate Mr. ******** request based on the information provided in their complaint. We will go ahead and suppress the report pursuant to their request and our Terms.

      This request to remove the background report from the Intelius website will be applied to all people search sites within the PeopleConnect family, including ***************, Intelius.com, ********************, and USSearch.com.

      I have canceld their service, several time, through their website, by phone and email and they continue to take money out of my account

      We are writing in response to the consumer complaint filed by **** *****, Complaint ID ********.

      We reviewed the account associated with this complaint and confirmed that the Unlimited PDF and Data Monitoring Access subscription was canceled in October 2024. However, the Unlimited Person Report Membership remained active and continued to bill on a recurring basis.

      Our system does not show a completed cancellation request for the Unlimited Person Report Membership prior to the recent cancellation. We understand the customer believed all services were canceled and regret any confusion caused by the separate structure of our subscription packages.
      We have now fully canceled the account, and no further charges will occur. Additionally, weve processed a refund for the most recent charge tied to the Unlimited Person Report Membership.

      Intelius offers multiple subscription tiers that must be canceled individually. Cancellations can be completed via the online dashboard, by phone, or by email. We also send confirmation emails for successful cancellations.

      We hope this clarifies the matter. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate the opportunity to address the concern.

      I was searching online for a business that could tell me which persons/business phone number was repeatedly calling me. It is clearly stated that the service is free and so naturally, I filled out all of the information which took quite a few minutes. At the very end when the data was compiled, I was told that I had to pay for the information.. this sort of behavior is unethical, bypasses integrity altogether, and is an ultimate lie. I do understand that when people advertise online, they have a tendency to occasionally embellish. This was an absolute lie and many of them are doing it. I called this particular one out because the Better Business Bureau gave them great reviews. I do not have money at this moment to find out who is methodically and consistently harassing me and it is causing me to feel veryunsafe.

      I submitted a formal request to Intelius, owned by PeopleConnect, ***** to remove my personal data from their website and affiliated sites (TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, and USSearch). Intelius support acknowledged my request and later provided a written confirmation stating that my personal data had been deleted.However, after this confirmation, I discovered that my data was still publicly accessible on Intelius and its affiliate platforms. I followed up with the company, and they repeatedly directed me to use their Suppression Tool, which requires creating an account and submitting even more personal information steps I had already declined and should not be forced to complete, especially as a ***** resident protected under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA).This behavior is deceptive and deeply concerning. Intelius misrepresented their compliance and failed to follow through on a legally grounded data removal request. I am requesting that the BBB assist in holding this company accountable and ensure they fulfill their commitment to permanently delete my personal data from their systems.I want written confirmation that my personal data has been permanently removed from Intelius, TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, and USSearch. I also request that Intelius stop requiring unnecessary steps like account creation to exercise my lawful rights.

      I am a victim of a violent crime and a stalker. The company is listing my personal information jeopardizing my safety.       Consistent with applicable laws, all material terms, including billing details and automatic renewal terms, are clearly disclosed before submitting payment information, and each user is required to check a box separately agreeing to those terms before being charged. Our registration page and our Terms of Use clearly outline the details of our billing terms. Customers also receive a confirmation email for all orders made on the site.

      We have confirmed that their account has been cancelled, and no further charges will be incurred. Additionally, ********** has made changes to their purchase return authorization process. We have tried to authorize a refund on their account. ********** is not authorizing this refund because of a flag they have placed on their account. We are working with ********** to ensure that they and their bank have visibility into this declined refund.

      However, if MasterCard does not authorize the refund we will not be able to process it further.

      I am signed up for this service and I've never signed up for this and I've been charged .95 and ***** and Ive emailed to request this service to be cancelled and my money to be refund with no response I'm not sure who used my ****** and email I believe but it ain't me and I don't want it I just want my money back and my info or account deleted

      Intelius is a public records search engine that gathers and displays public records in a clear and informative report. Most memberships function on a subscription model, meaning they renew automatically until the user decides to cancel, as outlined during the registration process. Our billing terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page located at this link: *****************************************, and in our Terms of Use located at this link: ****************************************************;

      Under normal circumstances, when a user activates an account with **********************, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Intelius to charge their card, including for the automatic renewal of their membership. 

      To ensure a thorough investigation of the account in question, ********************** requests that the billed recipient contact us first in the event of proclaimed fraud. Once we confirm this claim, we disable the account, cancel all memberships, and return the last charge to the original payment method. Ms. ****** contacted us on April 6, 2025, to report an unauthorized payment. Unfortunately, our agent misinterpreted her request, and the account was not flagged for fraud as it should have been. We sincerely apologize for this error.

      We have cancelled and refunded this account back to the payment option used to enroll, and no further charges will be incurred. Additionally, we have disabled the account to prevent any further access.

      We will reach out to Ms. ****** directly to coordinate the removal of the fraudulent account from our database.

      I have contacted ********* to suppress my personal information which some of it is incorrect, and I followed the suppression rules which does not remove my data. They have not removed my data. I have informed them that my family and I have been victims of identity fraud and my address and name are visible. My relatives information is incorrect and this is an open door to continuous identity fraud. I have attached the screenshots with my information.
