      Complaint Summary:Intelius continued charging me for four months after confirming my subscription cancellation. I am requesting a refund for these charges.Complaint Details:On April 16, 2025, I received an email from Intelius confirming that my subscription had been canceled and that I would no longer be charged. Despite this written confirmation, my account was billed from April through July 2025.When I contacted Intelius, I was told they had closed only one subscription, not my entire account, and therefore refused to refund the additional charges. At no point during my cancellation process was I informed that I had more than one subscription or that each needed to be canceled separately. The April 16 email made no such distinctionit indicated my subscription was canceled and that billing would stop.This is misleading and fails to honor the written cancellation confirmation I received. I am requesting a full refund for the charges from April through July 2025 and written confirmation that all subscriptions under my name are canceled to prevent future billing.I have attached the April 16, 2025 cancellation confirmation email as proof.

      After reviewing Ms. ****** account and the April 16, 2025 cancellation confirmation email, we note that the message stated: Your subscription (ID# ********** for Unlimited Person Reports, Location Reports, Asset Records, Bankruptcy Records, Criminal Records, ****************, Federal Records, Judgment Records, License Records, ************, ******************, and Associate Records has been cancelled. You should not receive any further charges for this subscription. This language confirms the cancellation of a specific subscription, not all active subscriptions under the account.

      Consistent with applicable laws, all material terms, including billing details and automatic renewal terms, are clearly disclosed before submitting payment information, and each user is required to check a box separately agreeing to those terms before being charged. Our registration page and Terms of Use clearly outline our billing terms, and customers receive confirmation emails for all orders placed. When a customer cancels online through their membership settings, all active subscriptions are displayed and must be canceled individually.

      We understand Ms. ****** concern, and as a courtesy, we have refunded an additional three charges of $3.99 each, in addition to the one charge previously refunded when she first contacted us. All memberships under her account are now canceled, and no further charges will be incurred.

      Hello BBB,This website has my information included on it after I have told them to take all of it down for the last few weeks. This website has my current address and my full name.       Although Mr. ********* previously contacted us, we requested additional information to accurately locate his report. The link he provided contained multiple individuals with the same first and last name in the same state, which made it necessary for us to obtain more details to narrow down the correct record. Based on the information included in this complaint, we were able to identify the correct background report and have processed his suppression request in accordance with our Terms.

      This suppression will also apply across all PeopleConnect-owned people search sites, including ***************, Intelius.com, ********************, and USSearch.com. Please note that our suppression process does not remove the information from the original public sources or from other companies that may display similar data. Certain information, such as public safety records or possible relative/associate references, may still appear in other contexts.

      So today on August 8th 2025 I did a ****** search for free reverse phone number lookup results. One of the ones that came up was intelius. So I believed what their ad said that I click on it and went through everything waiting for their system to run all the processes which takes about 5 minutes. At the end they would not give me the free result but instead want to charge me $0.95 for one report and a 5-day free trial. Their ad is very misleading and even untruthful I believe

      I used Intelius once to do a background check using their free trial. Im always overly conscious about free-trials and immediately terminated my account after I completed the search. I am certain of this. Due to significant life changes and being a single mom of a special needs child, I stay very busy and unfortunately have not been able to keep a very close check on my finances. I live check to check and keep my spending as minimal as possible. I was recently motivated to start budgeting; however, and tracking my spending more specifically using the Rocket Money app, which is how I was alerted to these charges. I have not used intelius once since I did that one single time and canceled my account during the free trial and they have continued to charge me for the last 9 months. Theyve charged me over $600 for a service I have only used once! It also looks like they are charging me under a ****** account and a regular account. Im not sure if there was a glitch when I initially signed up for the free trial? I promise, I am always extremely careful to cancel free trials. I really really need this money back and they are being extremely unreasonable. Please help me.

Our registration page and Terms of Use clearly outline the details of our billing terms. Customers also receive a confirmation email for all orders made on the site.

      To clarify, Intelius does not offer free services. Ms. **** signed up for a trial membership in November 2024. As stated during the sign-up process, unless canceled before the trial ends, the account automatically renews at the standard monthly rate of $35.30. Our records do not show charges totaling over $600, and we did not locate duplicate charges under ****** and another processor.

      We have canceled all active memberships associated with Ms. ***** information and issued an additional refund of $35.30, which is the most we are able to provide in accordance with our refund policy. No further charges will be incurred.

      Unauthorized Recurring Charges from Antleus $34.95 Monthly for 3 Years Complaint Description:I have been charged $34.95 every month for nearly three years by a company called Antleus, without my knowledge or consent. I never subscribed to any service from them, nor did I authorize these recurring payments.When I contacted ******, they told me the subscription began in 2021 through a platform called UP. However, I am a public figure with over 5 million followers, and I am extremely cautious about online subscriptions. I am 100% certain that I never signed up for this service.This is clearly a case of unauthorized charges, and I believe I have been scammed out of over $1,200. I am requesting a full refund for all unauthorized payments and an immediate cancellation of any existing subscription.I have already attempted to resolve this directly, but received no clear explanation or solution.       We understand the concern regarding the recurring charges and appreciate the opportunity to clarify. Based on our records, the charges were associated with an active subscription that began in September 2022. Before any charges were made, users are required to agree to our Terms of Use and billing policy, which includes clear disclosures regarding recurring payments. These terms are presented prior to purchase, and confirmation is sent via email after signup.

      That said, we see that the charges in question have since been disputed with the financial institution, resulting in a chargeback. When a chargeback occurs, it reflects that the transaction is under formal review with the bank or ******, and any refund requests must be processed directly through that institution. As a result, the membership has been canceled and access to the account has been permanently deactivated.

      Please be assured that no further charges will be made, and the account will not be reactivated.       Ive been working with ******** to have my information removed from people finder websites. Intelius is making it impossible to have my information removed. Although ive explained already that another person data is merged with mine they are not giving me any other way to remove it since I cant confirm my identity when this information bwolgs to 2 dufferent people. Experian requested the removal and I also have requested the removal and they are refusing.

      I have been in email conversation for over a week to remove my information from peopleconnect and nothing has been done. Im under the impression that they are refusing to remove it.
