Consistent with applicable laws, all material terms, including billing details and automatic renewal terms, are clearly disclosed before submitting payment information, and each user is required to check a box separately agreeing to those terms before being charged. Our registration page and our Terms of Use clearly outline the details of our billing terms. Customers also receive a confirmation email for all orders made on the site.
We have confirmed that their account has been cancelled, and no further charges will be incurred. Additionally, ********** has made changes to their purchase return authorization process. We have tried to authorize a refund on their account. ********** is not authorizing this refund because of a flag they have placed on their account. We are working with ********** to ensure that they and their bank have visibility into this declined refund.
However, if MasterCard does not authorize the refund we will not be able to process it further.

Intelius is a public records search engine that gathers and displays public records in a clear and informative report. Most memberships function on a subscription model, meaning they renew automatically until the user decides to cancel, as outlined during the registration process. Our billing terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page located at this link: *****************************************, and in our Terms of Use located at this link: ****************************************************;
Under normal circumstances, when a user activates an account with **********************, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Intelius to charge their card, including for the automatic renewal of their membership.
To ensure a thorough investigation of the account in question, ********************** requests that the billed recipient contact us first in the event of proclaimed fraud. Once we confirm this claim, we disable the account, cancel all memberships, and return the last charge to the original payment method. Ms. ****** contacted us on April 6, 2025, to report an unauthorized payment. Unfortunately, our agent misinterpreted her request, and the account was not flagged for fraud as it should have been. We sincerely apologize for this error.
We have cancelled and refunded this account back to the payment option used to enroll, and no further charges will be incurred. Additionally, we have disabled the account to prevent any further access.
We will reach out to Ms. ****** directly to coordinate the removal of the fraudulent account from our database.

I was charged on April 7, 2025, ***** which overdrafts my bank account. I had no money in there. I had previously paid 1$ but was refunded as there was no report originally found. I called intelius today, and the lady just said they would call back eventually and that when they do, they will refund me. I had canceled everything once already the day I first signed up. Well they still charged me, and so far haven't refunded my payment. I'm worried that I'll get charged again, even though I removed my card and canceled once again.Business Response

I learned that my personal information has been placed on your website without my permission through ****** security. I am getting very tired of my information being leaked onto websites. I have had issues with people trying to hack into my email and even use my credit cards. Remove my entire reports and do not utilize my information ever again. Several pages on Intelius contain sensitive details, including my name, address, phone numbers, email addresses, and information about my relatives. Intelius offers a 5-day trial to the Unlimited Person and Phone Reports Membership for $0.95 USD. As stated during sign-up, unless canceled within the trial period, the membership renews at $35.30 USD/month.
Ms. ***** mentioned she resides in ******, and we recognize that currency conversion may have resulted in a charge of approximately $56 CAD. While we bill in U.S. dollars, we understand how this may have been unexpected and apologize for any confusion.After reviewing her account, we confirmed that the most recent charge has been refunded in full to the original payment method. Please allow 35 business days for the refund to reflect, depending on her financial institution and currency processing.
