      This is a complaint against PeopleConnect sites, specifically TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, Intelius, and other platforms under their control. The complaint pertains to the unauthorized dissemination of personal information and the failure to comply with a request for data removal.Below is a list of key points and evidence for your review:1. I contacted PeopleConnect sites to request the removal of my personal data from their databases and platforms due to concerns regarding online privacy and data security. Despite repeated attempts to communicate with their customer support team, I have not received any confirmation or action regarding the removal of my data.2. The continued accessibility of my personal information on PeopleConnect sites poses a significant risk to my privacy and security, potentially leading to identity theft, harassment, and other forms of exploitation.3. The automated verification process for data removal encounters obstacles due to outdated contact information provided by PeopleConnect. Despite having access to one of the provided phone numbers, it is a landline incapable of receiving SMS verification codes, hindering my ability to complete the verification process effectively. This is the only way they let you verify your identity to remove results.I urge the Better Business Bureau to thoroughly investigate this matter and ensure that PeopleConnect adheres to privacy laws and regulations. Your intervention is crucial in protecting consumers' privacy rights.Thank you I have also attached a photo of my information on their website.       Hello.As you will see with the supporting document that I've attached, this is a predatory scheme by Intelius whereby they automatically create a recurring subscription when you do a "*************" tiny purchase of 95 cents yet, if you read the fine print, they will commence charging you $29.78/month if you do not cancel within 7 days.

      On 2-21-2024 I went to look up a phone number that has been calling me constantly in an attempt to phish. This website advertised free results in regards to identifying the owner of that phone line. After obtaining my information the site states that in fact they do not offer free results, as this would put them out of business. This website is defrauding customers in an attempt to obtain sellable data such as email, phone numbers, and other personal info.

      I cancelled my free trial and kept getting charged!! I keep getting ***** taking out of my bank account even though they have an inactive debit card number attached to my account. I would like all these charges refunded. I have not received a SINGLE email concerning my account - I had no idea it was even linked to my main as I never received any membership email once or a single renewal email. SCAM company, they just keep taking your money!

      I discovered that I have been receiving recurring payments from Intelius on my debit card for as long as I can go back. I never provided my card information or even used their services and i have been charged $31.75 every month. They stole my money and debit card information.

      Under normal circumstances, when a user activates an account with **********************, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Intelius to charge their payment method, including for the automatic renewal of their membership. Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email upon signup. If a user completes their initial ********************** inquiry but does NOT enter their payment information, they will not be charged and no membership will be created.

      In the event of proclaimed fraud, Intelius requests the billed recipient contact us first to ensure the account in question is thoroughly investigated. When this claim can be justifiably substantiated, the account in question is disabled from further use, all memberships to be cancelled, and all charges to be returned to the payment option holder (up to 12 months due to system limitations).

      The cancellation of this account has been confirmed and no additional charges will be made. We have also made an attempt to authorize a refund, but unfortunately, all efforts to process the refund were unsuccessful. *************************** ,must contact her financial institution for further details regarding the status of the reimbursement. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, as we are unable to intervene in the refund blockage. Proceeding with the refund will be possible once the blockage on the refund is removed. Additionally, we have disabled the account to prevent any further access.

      Intelius Charged me *****$ for a monthly subscription fee. However the website did not indicate at all that I would be charged ***** for a monthly fee. The website sold their product as a one time charge, first for 0.95$, and then an additional fee to download a PDF report. I used Intelius to figure out who was spam calling me, with the intention of using it one time. I thoroughly read through the website at the time of purchase, and not once did it mention a reoccurring *****$ fee. This is extremely deceptive, and predatory towards their customer base. I then tried to cancel the subscription I was unknowingly subscribed to, and the website attempted to bribe me down to paying only 10$ a month, and wouldnt let me remove my PayPal information. Finally I just deleted my account and stopped the subscription on PayPals end. I request an immediate refund of my ***** as it had overcharged my debit card, and Im now biting the bullet for something that was not disclosed to me AT ALL in the first place.
