I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by Intelius regarding my subscription [*********]. I was a subscriber for July 2021, relying on their background check reports for our non-profit organization. Unfortunately, I am currently experiencing an issue with accessing my reports despite being an active subscriber in 2021. This denial of access is greatly inconveniencing me and hindering my ability to access the needed reports. If I am unable to regain access to the account, I am expectant of a report to be sent to be via pdf.I have attempted to resolve this matter through contacting customer support and following troubleshooting steps, but to no avail. It is essential for me to regain access to my reports promptly to avoid further disruptions to my operations.I kindly request that you investigate this matter urgently and provide a resolution at the earliest convenience. Under normal circumstances, when a user activates an account with **********************, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Intelius to charge their payment method, including for the automatic renewal of their membership. Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email upon signup. If a user completes their initial ********************** inquiry but does NOT enter their payment information, they will not be charged and no membership will be created.
According to our records, ********************* account has been disabled on August 14, 2021 due to a fraud claim.
We have issued a refund to ********************* payment option used to enroll, and no further charges will be incurred. Additionally, we have disabled the account to prevent any further access. The charge for a month subscription was paid in July 2021. We paid for our services and canceled the subscription. When I called to enable the account once more, of course, paying any fee necessary I was told I was not able to though a subscription payment was processed for a month. I requested the records of all the background checks to be sent to me if I was not able to access my previous account and I was denied, again after paying for the service.Business Response

Intelius is a public records search service. Our Terms of Use prohibit the use of the website for any business reason. This includes the collection of data for any purpose other than personal use.
Furthermore, as previously stated, we can confirm that this membership was promptly cancelled, refunded, and disabled as of August 11, 2021 due to a fraudulent flag associated with ******************************* financial institution. Unfortunately, as a result of this fraudulent flag, accessing or reactivating this account is not possible. It is also not possible to retrieve any reports that were queried during the account's active period.

This is a complaint against PeopleConnect sites, specifically TruthFinder, InstantCheckmate, Intelius, and other platforms under their control. Intellius advertises buying a background report for a dollar. I did that. Apparently hidden in there is an agreement to join with a $37 member fee per month with auto payments. This I wasnt aware of. I used the service on March 13 and was charged one dollar. March 20th my PayPal posted a charge of $37 for intelius. This membership runs through April 20. I didnt even use the service past that initial day and wasnt charged a membership that first day. Its so obvious that this business functions purely on deceit as their business model to make money. On top of that the information they make you pay for, is not correct. The service is a fraud and the hidden membership is the only way they can make money cause once you see how bad the service is, you would never subscribe. I think business practices like these should be illegal. Id love to get what little money I have, back and I hope for the downfall of intelius.Business Response

To all my anesthesiologists and doc friends, if you at any point started to do business with ********************* and ***************** please seriously consider getting absolute control of your website or whatever mistake you are doing with this doctor. Everything could be relative ok until the day you are not happy or decide to terminate his services. He will not only disappear your online presence, but also will try to keep you hostage, so you have no choice, but continuing his failed services. So be very careful with individuals like this that use his MD credentials to convince people to do business with him.Business Response
