      I have emailed multiple times about being billed by this company when my account with them was cancelled last year. I keep getting the same email telling me that support will get back to me in 3 days. This has been going on since last month.

      I was directed to PeopleConnect by Discover to opt out of my personal information being readily searchable. I was able to get through each page and form completely fine, until the last page where I am able to actually opt out and suppress my personal information being searchable. These are two of the error codes that pop up every time I try to save my decision to suppress my information:Error: Unable to save suppression behavior:TypeError: Failed to fetch Error: Unable to save suppression behavior:APIError I find it interesting that there are multiple different errors that ONLY pop up when I am trying to prevent you from displaying my personal information. I don't understand how this can be legal, but it is certainly scummy.

      I received a call from a number I did not recognize on July 5, but the caller sounded familiar and told me that I knew who they were. I decided to look for a reverse phone number lookup and Intelius offered to show me it for free. After entering the phone number and waiting for some time, it told me that I need to pay 95 cents to access the information I was looking for. I figured it would be worth the low price, so I paid for it. Now today September 11, I am looking at my online banking and I see a charge from today that I didn't recognize. I then found that I had been charged the previous two months. The name Intelius was something that didn't seem right, so I looked them up and found that it was the company that I used to find out information on this phone number. I was charged a total of $106.85 for something that was supposed to only cost me 95 cents. I would like to be refunded as I was not informed that I would be charged a subscription after purchasing a phone number lookup. I appreciate any help you can give me.

      I recently discovered my information for sale on PeopleConnect.us, an Intelius afiliated site and submitted a request to remove my information and opt out permanently. I have made this request on similar websites where my information was for sale and the process simple, but PeopleWhiz requires additional verification of my identity and personal information. The whole point of opting out is that I do not want this company to have my information. I see no reason to "verify" someone's ID when they request to remove information because there is surely no nefarious motive for requesting the removal of personal information from a shady website such as this. Asking for that verification, however, is certainly suspicious behavior, particularly when similar companies do not require it.

      I have attempted to use Intelius's Suppression Request system but could not complete the request due to the fact that there are two records with my information (IDs ************************************ and eab8173b-b9ff-4787-9736-eff43b96b551) and the email addresses and phone numbers listed on both records are all ones to which I no longer have access and therefore cannot use to confirm that I want my information removed.

      Further, I find Intelius's argument that anyone might "abuse" the suppression system by requesting the removal of someone else's data unsatisfactory. Firstly because this is my own information, so that is a moot point, and secondly because there can be no ill motive for requesting the removal of someone's private information from a public site that makes such private, identifying information available publicly, which is far more likely to promote fraud than any request for removal.

      I am once again requesting that the records listed above be permanently deleted from all Intelius databases. I will appreciate your prompt compliance with this request.

      MY PERSONAL INFO AND RECORD. PLEASE REMOVE Record: de3ce002-de57-4f49-8a7b-026ad7a84a3a I AM A VICTIM OF ID THEFT. Requested removal multiple times via email. THEY DEMAND that I confirm "data" that is antiquated and no longer applicable to me. Most of the emails and phone numbers are WRONG. Their website states that you can use the suppression tool but whenever I attempt it, DOES NOT WORK. I did as they demanded and contacted customer service to verify my identity another way and I am redirected to the suppression tool. I never requested that they add my personal data to multiple sites. I want my data removed from all of their websites. I receive this message back: Unfortunately, we were unable to identify a report or validate your identity based on the information provided. How despicable is that?       I have sent Intelius a request to have my information removed from their searches and they denied my request for lack of phone number or email address. This is a scam. Through their suppression tool, they send you a list of phone numbers and email addresses to verify through that are either decades old or were never yours to begin with. I want my information removed from their search results, People Connect and all other associated sites, databases and affiliates systems. My previous last name was ***** so that is showing up as well.

      The nature of this dispute is Intelius' Non-Compliance.On July 27th, 2024, I submitted my first request to have Intelius suppress my personal information. Since then, I have made several requests without proper relief.I have diligently followed the instructions on Intelius to email Intelius' Support directly. Despite my repeated attempts and following their instructions, I'm repeatedly sent back, "[...]Thank you for your message. Our ****************** allows you to locate and suppress your public data from appearing on our website without assistance. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you've started that process. [...] If you have difficulty using the ******************, there are instructions and contact links within the ****************** that you can access for further assistance."I have spoken with three separate Intelius Support Representatives: ******, ******, and *****.I have experienced five and half weeks of this behavior. I do not want Intelius or its affiliates to sell or give away my personal information. In doing so, this places me at great personal risk.If it is an option, I am requesting all of my personal information be deleted from their databases and servers as well.Additionally, I have not paid Intelius any money, but I have spent time I cannot get back trying to follow a process they do not wish to comply with even when their criteria are fulfilled.I can provide an entire account of our discussion if needed.Thank you.

      What I'm complaining about specifically is the phone number look up which doesn't actually look ANYTHING up. It shows a slider bar pretending like it's searching multiple databases and acting like it found a bunch of information and THEN they try to charge you for a service after pretending like they found something.

      I have attempted several times to have Intelius REMOVE my listing (and family members including a MINOR) from Intelius website. My name is ********* ** ******. My age is incorrectly listed but it accurately lists all the cities I have lived in,(***********, **********, ** , *********** etc.) I have contacted Intelius several times via phone, email, and certified mail to remove them. Intelius is insisting I divulge personal information about myself to them (a 3rd party I NEVER hired) BEFORE they remove my listing-further opening myself up to identity theft. I dont know nor do I trust this company. I am totally frustrated . I never signed up for their services. I have sent them the 3 screen-shots the 3 listings to be removed several times to no avail. Please assist me in having my 3 listings of my family members and myself REMOVED. (See attached photos)

      I just checked today, September 3, 2024. It has been 48 hours and 3 listings  are still present on their website once they are removed I will consider the matter resolved.

      Intelius information is gathered from many public sources, including local county courthouses, census bureaus, and other sources of public information. We do not create or add to the information we obtain. While we cannot remove specific records from a report, we do have the option to remove an entire background report from our site. The information obtained from a report is for personal use only.

      We were able to locate a report and validate ********* ******** request based on the information provided in their complaint. We will go ahead and suppress the public information pursuant to their request and our Terms. Please allow up to 48 hours for these changes to reflect on our website.
