      On October 5th, I checked my account with the bank. I am a 60 year old widow trying to survive on my disability. I have a ridiculous budget. This action has caused me $137.00 in overdraft fees. PLEASE give me a phone number or anything so I can get this money refunded.

      When a user activates their account, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Intelius to charge their payment method as described, including for the automatic renewal of their membership. Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email for any orders placed on the site.

      After a thorough investigation, we were unable to locate an account with the information provided. In order to meet Ms. Hall’s expectations, we request all applicable information listed below:

      The first and last name used on the account
      The email address registered
      The first 6 and last 4 numbers of the card used
      The Paypal email address or Paypal Transaction ID number

I have requested to opt out of *********** site (of course, Intelius actually is the owner of the site) I have contacted Anywho AND Intelius to OPT OUT of their Data Sites. I have been assured that I have been removed. As a person who has suffered through Identity theft, it concerns me that these people CONTINUE to sell my information even after I have requested an opt out. I am legally able to opt out and I am exercising my right to have my information removed from ALL INTELIUS SITES, INCLUDING ANYWHO. I would like my info removed immediately.

      $40/mo Intelius clearly states unlimited amount of searches with no timeline restrictions. Last week while searching I was locked out of my account and shown this message, Your account is locked. Please call member care center at ************** to unlock your account. When I called the number, I was told that the account was flagged for overuse and that after we verify the account they would unlock the account within *******. The *** verified the account and assured me the account would be unlocked within 72hours but a week later it was still locked.

      We have been trying to have our personal information removed for weeks now. It's like a constant game of whack-a-mole with Intelius, just when you think you have yourself removed, something else appears.       I am being charged on my credit card for something I never ordered. On my bill it said INTELIUS ************ *********** WA. One of the recent charges was on 8/15/24 for $21.56

      Under normal circumstances, when a user activates an account with **********************, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Intelius to charge their payment method, including for the automatic renewal of their membership. Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email upon signup. If a user completes their initial ********************** inquiry but does not enter their payment information, they will not be charged, and no membership will be created.

      In the event of proclaimed fraud, Intelius requests the billed recipient contact us first to ensure the account in question is thoroughly investigated. When this claim can be justifiably substantiated, the account in question is disabled from further use, all memberships to be cancelled, and the last charge is returned to the payment option used.

      This account has been cancelled and disabled, which will prevent any further use or access. The latest charge incurred has been refunded to the payment method used for enrollment in the service.

      I found out from Rocket Money that I had been paying for this service for about 6 months. I paid $1.00 to get some info and I guess that automatically enrolled me in their service. I emailed them when I found out in January. They kept telling me they could not find my account. I finally sent them all of my email addresses and did not hear back so I figured they found it and cancelled it. Well I just found out I have been paying $34.95 per month since then. I had my bank cancel it and then called Intelius to see if I could get a refund and they said the most they could give me was 2 months worth (I subtracted this from how much I have paid since Jan). I told them I had cancelled back in January and they said too bad they can not reimburse me what I paid since **** (minus the money they reimbursed me for 2 months). So they still owe me $244.65.

      I answered them back in January with all of this information and they still did not cancel my service.  I had to call them when I found out it had not been cancelled 6 months later and then they could find my account finally.  This does not resolve the complaint, I should not have to pay for 6 months of service after I cancelled back in January because of their incompetence.

      Ms. ******** contacted us via email several times to request the cancellation of her subscription(s). However, our attempts to locate the account using the information she provided were unsuccessful. We requested additional details, such as the first six and last four numbers of her credit card, to aid in our search, but the response provided only included the last four numbers of the credit card. We also offered to assist her over the phone, but she did not reach out to us.

      In order to investigate her situation further, we ask that she please contact her financial institution and ask them to provide her with at least one of the following:

      The last email from them when I was trying to cancel in January was that they wanted all of my email addresses.  I sent those and never heard back.  I assumed it was cancelled at that point.  I noticed it was still taking money off my credit card 6 months later.  I then called and they were finally able to find my account.  The reason they could not find it before is because it automatically carried over to a different card once I had cancelled my card because it was compromised.  But since they know I was trying to cancel back in January and it is not my fault they can't find my account they should reimburse me for all of the payments made from Jan until when I finally was able to cancel.
