      I removed my name from PeopleFinders search, so they knowingly and purposely show my phone number as being currently owned by another person, which PeopleFinders knows is not true. According to a PeopleFinders supervisor, ownership of phone numbers defaults to the last person who had the number. This causes a barrage of phone calls and text messages for people who do not own the number. It also makes the current owner subject to scams, or possibly unwittingly an accessory to a scam.

      Searching on September 14th for the owner of a number that was spamming my mobile, I found PeopleFinder. It promised to provide the owner's information and offered a choice of 95 cents or a subscription. I chose the 95 cent option, and used ****** to pay (rather than provide an unknown vendor with direct credit card information). The result: "No data." So, a waste of 95 cents. On September 17th, I received an email notification from ****** that the vendor ************ had charged $24.95. When I went into my ****** account I found that ************ had used ****** to start a recurring subscription.This is fraud. At no time in reviewing the company's website was any indication provided that accepting the *************************************************************************************** total, I request an immediate refund of $25.90, from this company that has providing absolutely nothing, except sucking away my valuable time, having to work extra to prevent the fraudulent theft of my money.

      "I needed a one-time search for an email address so I selected the $0.95 fee and my card was charged correctly. However, this morning, I noticed that PeopleFinders charged my card $24.99 for a monthly subscription, which I did not agree to. Im certain I selected the one-time charge for $0.95. I would like a full refund for this misleading advertising."

      What a scam they have going on here. I wanted to do a reverse phone number look up. I was told the charge was for $0.95. I later find out that this was a discount AND and agreement to sign up for their membership and I was charged $24.95! Nowhere on the website did it say I was going to be charged more than $0.95.

      My **** account with **************** Employees ************ was fraudulently charged twice the amounts of $24.95 x 2 = $49.90. I had paid $0.95 to obtain an address etc, this being the only charge I agreed to. PEOPLEFINDERS fraudulently began making monthly charges of $24.95 on August 10 and September 10 2024. **** Fraud folks contacted me about the fraudulent activity and, as a consequence, my **** card has been canceled, and a new one will be sent to me.

      I am rejecting this response because I have discovered that PEOPLEFINDERS is well known to pull this deception. The complaints to BBB about this not BBB accredited organization (on the BBB website) confirm the same pattern of deception. The complaints, BBB reviews, and PEOPLEFINDERS repayment of these fraudulent charges to those that complained are for the same reason as my complaint. The most recent repayment was 09/12/2024.

      Peoplefinders need to return the $49.90 they fraudulently stole from my account. The ***************************************** case summaries on the BBB website confirm that this is a fraudulent pattern of conduct. The fraudulent behavior, followed by complaints to the BBB, is apparently identical to what I have experienced. I did not sign up for any membership - I paid 0.95 cents for a search of one person which was legitimate. Nothing else.
      VISA contacted me last Friday to indicate this was a charge that had been made to my credit card, and asked to confirm I had approved it. I had not. This caused me to check if any other charges had been made, and another $24.95 charge had also been made unbeknownst to me just after the $0.95 payment in August.

      i need Peoplefinders to return the $49.90 now - as they have done for others.

      I am rejecting this response because the full monies have not been refunded. One reimbursement of $24.95 has been refunded. Thank you for that 50% repayment. The second improper charge of $24.95 also needs to be refunded. Please refund that amount as well, as I only agreed to $0.95 charge - not a trial membership.
      In my opinion, PEOPLEFINDERS should be renamed PEOPLEFRAUDSTERS if they continue to use such deceptive billing techniques.

      Just like everyone else said. Giant pop-up on screen says PAY 1$ FOR THIS ONE SPECIFIC REPORT! I use ****** thinking okay well Im not handing over my card number or anything right? Still not good enough to protect myself from scummy scams like this. They clearly make their Pennies from hoping were all too lazy to call (more tricks: somehow they can reply through email yet to get a refund you need to call. Like seriously?) and absolutely NOOOOWHERE did it say that I was signing up for an AUTOPAY MEMBERSHIP. Legitimately did not say this. When you put a giant 1$ ONLY on the screen and its actually a 30$ a month membership buried in 10 miles of terms and conditions like really? Also important to note: how was it a trial if I paid for it??? Absolute SCAM and they know it. So Im wasting my time here.

      On September 6th 2024, I messaged the company informing them that the opt-out feature I was using to remove all of my identifiable information from their website for safety reasons related to stalking gave me an email message with a phishing warning. I explained that, as such, I was sending them a message electronically to make the request. I shared that if I didn't receive a response or the identifiable information had not been removed by September 13th 2024, I would be filing a complaint with the BBB. As of submitting this complaint, neither has happened.

      I originally paid the .95 cents several weeks ago for a service, all of a sudden today they charged me $29.95 for a membership. I was never made aware that I was signing up for a free trial. Completely unprofessional.

      I requested to track a phone, I provided the phone number, the phone was taken while I was overseas, the location and name of the owner were completely wrong. I dont want to be charged a monthly fee, or even the .95 cents, providing the info to get the wrong location was time spent, I will never get back.

      This is a scam company. they will charge you $30 without telling you and once you called and finally get someone they will tell you that you cant get a refund. Most of the information are false.

      I am rejecting this response because: I did not choose a 3 days trials. You never specify that you will charge me $30 after 3 days. This is how scammers work. I also called to cancel the trial but the phone was always busy. I also sent an email and only got an automatic reply and this even after I requested over and over. It also stated that you could call on Saturday and Sunday during business hours but that's not true either, the line was shut down. 

      Does it make sense to charge someone $30 after a supposedly 3 days trial. You usually charge people after they use your service, and you get billed 30 days after the service was provided but never 3 days. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

      I am rejecting this response because: When I called on Saturday and Sunday and even Monday no one answered. When finally I got someone on Tuesday , the person was so rude and told me that I would not get any refund. I do this so people can be award of your scam. This is the worst company ever.
