1 starI wish I looked up reviews before I agreed/paid for a SINGLE SEARCH. I only paid for one search, I did not sign up for any type of membership but they will keep your information on file and charge you without permission. They sent me the confirmation email 6 HOURS after submitted my request to cancel. They were very calculated in only processing my request after they stole my money. I had to change my card number and mark the transaction as fraud with my bank. This business is a true scam. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!Peoplefinders.com

1 starI am requesting a refund of $149.75 for unauthorized recurring charges from PeopleFinders. I only approved a one-time $3.95 charge on June 23, and I did not consent to any subscription or monthly billing. Despite this, I was charged monthly from June through October, with another charge scheduled for November.When I tried logging into the account using the correct email and password (stored in my password manager), the website said: Account Login Unavailable. Sorry, we are unable to provide services for your account. It appears my account was disabled or removed, yet the company continued charging me. I can provide a screenshot if necessary.I called One-Eight-Hundred, Seven-One-Eight, Eight-Nine-Nine-Seven several times. Each time, an ** system answered, verified my email, confirmed my account exists, but refused to process a refund. When I asked for a human representative, the ** transferred me multiple times, only to loop me back to the same automated agent with no way to reach a real person.This creates a situation where:My account is disabled or deleted I cannot access or cancel any services I cannot reach a human representative The ** system repeatedly blocks resolution Unauthorized charges continue I believe this behavior is deceptive, and the combination of deleting/disabling my account while continuing to bill me then trapping me in an ** loop with no human assistance or refund option may constitute fraudulent business conduct. You have 72 hours to respond about a refund, and if no update, we will be filing in small claims court, *****, CFPB, and if necessary, a class action lawsuit for here in **********. You already have one in ******** dont make the same mistake againI am requesting a full refund of $149.75 and immediate cancellation of all billing. Thank you for your assistance. 1 starCan I give negative stars? This place is a total scam. I was charged for a lifetime membership that I never signed up for. The guy at customer service said I did and I said show me where I signed it and he couldnt. He said no refunds I said Im not even asking for a refund I never purchased anything! 1 starPeople *********** are out and out crooks. When you go on this site and sign up for a one time $3.95 report they fraudulently sign you up for a $29.95 per month membership . Then when you call up for a refund they will not give you one ! They are a den of thieves using deception to bilk money from innocent people . 1 starThis company scams people with automatic monthly subscription. They don't even send an email that you signed up for monthly subscription ( this is made on purpose). They mention in fine test that you are signing up for monthly subscription though you don't need it. There is no way to get a report without auto subscription. They expect us to ****** subscription to avoid monthly charges. However most of the customers don't even know that they are subscribing for monthly service. When called customer care for refund, they speak only rules and show no empathy for their customer. I ended up losing $90 ( 3 months) though I haven't used the service at all. 1 starI was trying to get a phone location. I did not wish to sign up for a monthly plan. Lo and behold in trying to take advantage of a bait lower rate it signed me up for $24.95 monthly. Elderly and on social security I cant sign up fir that and did not mean to. My bank said they couldnt stop the payment. ****** saud call peoplefinders. When we finally located the email associated with the payment they advised they had stopped the monthly plan but did not refund. So now I have a prescription that I cant get. 1 starWish I would have read reviews before using them! Signed up under a "Free Trial". Looked up 1 phone number, then cancelled the same day so I wouldn't get charged for the monthly subscription. They charged me anyways. I tried to dispute it with them and they game me the same pitch they gave everyone else. "According to terms of service they are not issueing a refund". The information and prompts on their website are misleading. $30 in the end to look up one phone number. This business is a scam and shut be shut down.Peoplefinders.com
