I am a seller on Poshmark. Recently, I sold a pair of sunglasses. The buyer claims the glasses arrived damaged. The damaged sunglasses were returned to me without my consent, and I did not receive the payment owed for them. I now cannot wear or sell the sunglasses because they are damaged, and I am out the money of my sale. I tried to open a case with poshmark to defend myself and included proof that the sunglasses were sold in good condition, and I received a copied and pasted general "your feedback has been noted" response, without answering my specific questions or finding any sort of resolution. I followed up multiple times over a significant period of time, and was either ignored or given the same copy/paste reply, ignoring my questions. As I sold this item in good condition and whatever alleged damage happened out of my hands, I should not be penalized. Overall, I believe I have been taken advantage of by poshmark, and completely ignored when trying to find a resolution. I am seeking payment from poshmark in the amount owed to me from the original sale, which is $48.00 USD. Other context -- I provided clear images of the item sold and uploaded additional images requested by the buyer in advance of their purchase to prove quality and authenticity of the item before it was shipped. I have exclusively five-star ratings on all my other sales. I am attaching the images of my item pre-sale, as well as the interaction with the buyer in advance of the sale as proof that I was extremely honest and transparent regarding the conditions of this item pre-selling. If needed, my username on poshmark is "@thenewyorkdoll"Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: the argument poshmark is making is that the item was not sold as described, but I have clear photo evidence that is not true, and any damage that could have happened after the item was out of my hands. I also have documented proof that I was transparent with the buyer and offered as many pictures prior to purchase as they wanted. They also say I should reach out to their customer service team, but they have ignored me. I have no answer as to why I am expected to take financial loss and keep an item that was returned to me in worse condition than sold in.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: the company isnt responding and is sending me to email their customer service team. I have not gotten help or responses from their customer service team, which is why I contacted the BBB in the first place. This company refuses to help or take accountability for their members, and avoids responding at all costs, both here and via their customer service email.

On Feb 14, 2025, I purchased a Soft Surroundings **** dress online. I already own 3 Soft Surroundings **** dresses in different colors. None are built with a substantial style difference of higher waist which measures 5" shorter. The neckline and armholes are higher, too, as if a petite, though not marked as such. I sent a photo to the seller who provided the dress, comparing what I own to what I received and the she graciously and immediately agreed to a return, but we had to go through the Poshmark process. Poshmark refused the refund, twice, insisting that I should have asked questions. Since I own 3 **** dresses of the same size that are all the same cut and fabric, there was no reason to ask any questions regarding the length of the bodice, which is never supplied in the description. The standard measurement of pit-to-pit matched what I already own.Poshmark suggested that I could resell the garment on the Poshmark site. This garment cannot be resold as it is because it does not match the size on the label nor the style and is in essence, defective. I ordered in good faith, received a garment in a different style than described, so insist on a refund.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because this is the exact response I received when I tried to resolve this with Poshmark. This is an issue of a garment that is cut differently than the standard form of the style specifically produced by Soft Surroundings. Therefore, this is not a case of my ordering a garment and wanting to return it because it doesn't fit. It is because the garment is defective and was not described as such. As I pointed out, I have three of these same dresses in different colors so I have something to compare . An important point here is that the person who posted the garment on the Poshmark site is quite willing to refund it and Poshmark overrode her gracious decision.

I am rejecting this response because I attempted a resolution with Poshmark prior to registering this issue with BBB. After receiving the same scripted responses as seen here, the only clarity is that Poshmark refuses to honor the decisions of both the person who sold the item under the aegis of Poshmark, as well as myself regarding a defective item.

On Feb 11, I attempted to get clarification on a listing for Prada Monolith boots. The listing mentions numerous times, in numerous places "women's 9." I attempted to contact the seller for clarification. When it became obvious that the seller was attempting to profit from a fraudulent listing, I attempted to cancel the offer. Instead it auto drafted from my ****** account! I made the same offer on another pair of boots, and I was able to cancel that listing. I attempted numerous times to contact the seller who was been willfully ignoring any attempts at contact. It appears this person is running a scam to get rid of an unpopular size in an expensive pair of boots. Poshmark has not been helpful at all. The seller waited until the last minute to ship the item instead of allowing 7 days to pass unshipped so that I could cancel the transaction. I have even attempted to compromise. I have reached out to Postmark repeatedly. They need to cancel the transaction and refund my money because the listing contained false/inaccurate information. The listing repeatedly claimed "women's 9". The shoes are instead, men's 8 which in Prada is TWO AND A HALF TO THREE sizes larger than women's 9. In Prada Monolith boots, women's 9 is equal to men's 5.5. I know that because I called ***** directly looking for these boots. I appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.Business Response

The date of the transaction is today, February, 21, 2025. I opted to try and sell a gown on Poshmark.com and was able to sell said dress. When I went to register to receive payment, I was told I had to download the *********** app and send $249 which would be returned to me "within seconds". I received word that they could not verify and to send an additional $250 to verify the account and all monies would be returned. I was then told a THIRD time I needed to send an additional $300 to verify or I would not receive payment on the item I sold using their platform. I have tried several times communicating with them and asking for a resolution but have now sent $510 for nothing with no resolution provided to me.Business Response

On February 7th, I paid $67.22 for a pair of shoes from Poshmark. The seller sent them the same day. Poshmark charges me immediately, and holds my money until I confirm the shoes arrived as promised. As of today, 2/21, **** tracking shows that the shoes have not moved since 2/11. I assume they are lost. I opened a case with the ****, which they closed after 3 days because they could never locate the package. I reached out to Poshmark several times for a refund and have heard nothing back. It has been plenty of time and the fact that the shoes have not even moved since 2/11 indicates they are lost, not delayed. The seller and Poshmark are covered, since the shipping I paid for includes insurance. (Poshmark takes their fee from the seller). However, Poshmark still has my money and so far has not only refused to return it to me, but has not responded to my many inquiries. They have written back once or twice just saying give it more time. Now they do not even respond at all. I've attached the only info Poshmark has on their website on what to do when a package does not arrive (it just says all purchases are covered), the purchase confirmation page, and current **** tracking. Thank you for looking into this matter.Business Response

I have been wrongfully billed the last 7 months for a service I never initiated. Poshmark says I opted into a closet promotion and yet Ive never received any notification (via the platform or email) indicating this to be true. I had not noticed the recurring charges on my old card until very recently and immediately tried to contact customer service. After the 10th email threatening legal action, they finally just responded with my account wasnt hacked completely unprofessional. I need this matter escalated to a supervisor so that this never happens again. I also need my money reimbursed in full. Poshmark froze my account and held my funds for sales since early dec 24. I tried to email support multiple times to ask for my account to be reinstated but never received any answer. My funds endlessly just say pending but never come through. Support does not answer and funds are in limbo. I provided a receipt for non designer items that were sold. My listings should have been reinstated. I had never had a bad experience with Poshmark until my funds were placed in limbo and my listings removed. I would just like my account restored and funds that are my sales to be released. If I had sold designer items I might understand but to delist me and steal funds for used watches seems ridiculous. I could not get help from support or any answer after at least half a dozen triesBusiness Response
