I've had an HP Officejet Pro **** All-In-One Printer for over 10 years and it worked flawlessly until this month. I ordered a set of color inks from Amazon at the beginning of August because the ink levels were getting low. I did'nt replace the old cartridges with the new ones until September 1st., but when I did the printer reported that two of the colors were damaged, ****** So I sent them back and ordered a second set, and when they were installed into the printer they too were registering as damaged. I returned them also to Amazon, and decided to get my ink directly from HP. When the set of inks from HP were installed, the printer reported the ***** cartridges were damaged just like the previous two sets from Amazon.. After being on the phone with HP tech support for over an hour and a half, and after the tech guy putting the machine through a litany of steps to get it to accept the inks, which included resetting the printer to factory settings, the printer died. It will not accept the new cartridges, will not print, will not communicate with my computer. I sincerely believe, as has been mentioned in a few prior reviews here on BBB, that HP is intentionally disabling older printers by configuring them to not accept cartridges in order to force customers to purchase a new printer. Disgusting example of corporate greed and preditory business practices.

Disappointed I cant leave 0 stars.I feel I was completely ripped off of $150+. I stopped receiving ink in March but continued to be billed until Sept. And when I called to see why I was not receiving any ink but still continuing to be billed. I was told I hadnt been shipped any ink because their system detected that I had not used the ink that was previously sent. When had I received it, I would have used it. I have been being billed since March for using ink I had received previously and using my OWN printer(which I bought) & printing paper(which I also bought). They tell you your subscription is based on pages you print and the ink is free which is laughable because NO ONE has this subscription and doesnt expect INK in return. Its literally called INSTANT INK. While I realize youre billed based on how many sheets are printed, the subscription is for INK. And customers are using the subscription to receive INK, and signed up with the expectation that we will in fact receive INK. They advertise this as the better, faster, more convenient way to never run out of ink and advertise that it is CHEAPER than buying ink in stores which is a complete joke. I could have bought the 2 packs of XL ink once a month and actually received ink and not paid HALF of what I paid from March-Sept while using infant ink. After hours of being on the phone and on hold with them all they would do is offer to send me a new shipment of ink & offered a $7 refund which is a joke. So I just canceled my worthless subscription. I am not happy at all with the way I was treated or how my experience with this company or customer service. I would not at all recommend this service to anyone in fact I would strongly advise people not to use the instant ink subscription service. Just save yourself a TON of ************* ink from Amazon, they have great customer service and you actually receive product.

I had an instant ink account cancelled last month. However I also had it paid for the next 2 months. Because I cancelled, I could not use the already paid ink. They did not refund me or offer any other solution. They said I just need to pay for new ink through ******* or another retail store. Therefore, I have 4 ink cartridges that I cannot use, and now, according to HP, have to go and purchase new ones after already paying for the instant ink that I already paid for.I spoke to 3 different people there and they were inconsiderate and uncooperative. I will HIGHLY not recommend them to anyone. I would even go to the news to announce this event. I should be able to use my printer with my ALREADY PAID FOR ink.If I could, I would leave a zero star recommendation.

I custom built an HP Envy four days ago. HP sent me a quoted price via email. They failed to mention how long the price would be valid. Now (4 days later) when I go to purchase, they want $400 more for the same custom built model. Bait and switch is what I call it.

Between a span of 2 days, I spent more than 6hrs on the line with tech trying to address an operating issue. At the end of it all, I was informed that we couldn't perform a factor reset due to the drives not being available so I had to send the laptop in. I run a small trucking company and I rely on my pc for everything. I told them that they could not take forever. I told them that I will be moving from my residential address as we are having a tough time keeping up with expenses so I am giving up my home. I had sent in pictures displaying the issues. 3 weeks later, I received a defective laptop. The Main issue which was the drives were neither fixed or replaced. So it is still corrupted. Next, I called tech again, and was told that they were going to submit for a unit replacement because in addition to all of the mess going on, my workstation is suppose to have 3 tera of storage capacity. Come to find out, it is 2. So from the looks of it, I never received what I paid for.***** from the tech who worked on the workstation incompetence, this lady couldn't even remember my name and you can't email me without typing it. The options is another round of testing. For the longest time whenever the workstation has to be sent in for repair, they always deny me a replacement workstation to get me through the weeks ahead. Now, they want to offer this instead of a full refund or replacement. I can't afford the loss in revenue to travel to a place I rarely go to. I brought this up and explained my difficulty with these solutions. This personnel is actively trying to rip me off talking about buying out my warranty which ends in a few months. The Workstation was purchased for over 4k. So essentially, she wants to pay me peanuts and not actually replace the unit.

For all first responders do not fall for the "Frontline Heros" program. I, at least, have found it to be a bait and switch program. You log into the Frontline Heros store, then pick a computer just to find out that it is not included in the program...really, you are supposed to be honoring our first responders then you throw this kind of c*** at us. To make matters worse, your customer service just says "whoops, sorry for the inconvenience but we have another higher price model".Quite frankly, my first HP was a p**** of C*** and so I have no idea why I even tried in the first place. Seems like the only thing they do right is printer...which is very good. So back to **** I go...especially with the insult to first responders.

Purchased a printer and they scammed me into signing up for HP instant ink. I never gave then my credit card to purchase any. They made up an account for me anyway. A few days ago my printer was locked and wouldn't print. After hours of research, uninstalling, resetting I stumbled upon a forum about HP instant ink and how it locks printer remotely. I called a support person and within seconds of complaining my printer starting printing. This is a scam and totally illegal to control a privately owned printer in a home. Please look into this situation as it is not only a crime it is frightening that a company could do this to a private citizen. Thank you.

I just spent two hours with incompetent tech support people who could not understand why my HP Envy **** could not scan. I repeatedly explained the problem occurred coincidentally with a system upgrade. After requiring me to start a maintenance contract for $51.99 for the first month, experiencing numerous tests and delays, the third tech support person explained how the new program required a source button in a totally different location. Nothing was wrong with the printer, just HP's failure to inform customers about a new operating program and inadequate training of tech support people. HP should pay up for such frustrating customer service.

Hp is engaging in predatory subscription practices, and amplifies that issue by disabling ink.
