July 5, 2023 at 7:21 pm someone accessed my Facebook account. They immediately changed the email address associated with the account and changed the name to *********************************** (but still my picture). I received the email from Facebook asking if I did that and I hit the it wasnt me button but it was too late. Facebook no longer recognizes my email. I have contacted Facebook through their help section several times. Each time, I upload my license, they confirm my identity and email me a temporary password to get back in. This does not work because they now have a different email address on the account. There is no way to relay this information to Facebook. They keep sending reminders to complete the action but it doesnt work. I created my Facebook in 2007. I have lost all my personal stuff, all my messages along with with my group business page with over **** followers, my regular business page and all my affiliate groups. I no longer can access them. They were all attached to my account. Not only is the hacker going to destroy my business, but they are also impersonating me which could potentially jeopardize my reputation. Facebook is not correcting the problem. I need Facebook to change the email associated with it back to my email so I can regain access to my account and business pages. They have poor security and a lack of customer assistance in instances like this. If I am unable to regain access to my account then I will be forced to close my business.Initial Complaint

My Facebook account ************************************************** has been hacked and hacker is now using account to send malicious links to my friends and contacts in attempts to hack their accounts. At first I received an email from Facebook telling me that my email address has been changed and the advise them if I had not authorized this change. I did so following their instructions to recover the account. When doing so, it asks to reset the password and says that the new password is being sent TO THE NEW EMAIL ADDRESS ON FILE!!!. This whole process is useless since despite flagging the the change was not authorized, Facebook DOES NOT revert the information back to it's original value. I have tried via multiple means to flag the account and so have multiple of my friends but nothing works. There IS NO WAY to open any kind of dispute of the have an actual person to speak with of have the information verified. Not only is this my personal profile, but it is linked to my business page as well. This is very serious and someone from Facebook needs to step in and do something.Initial Complaint

My profile got hacked and the hacker turned on email encryptions. So, there is absolutely no way to reset my password because you cant read the encrypted messages without being logged in!I have dozens of companies under my name and multiple advertising accounts with credit cards on file. Its very disappointing that FB doesnt have a support number for paying advertising customers. My account got hacked and cant recover it with credit cards on file.I really need that a FB rep call or email me to recover my account. So, we can keep promoting our businesses online and not having the risk that the hacker might post crazy stuff or use our card for fake advertising.Initial Complaint

Sometime between 6/26-6/27/2023 my personal facebook account was hacked by someone who changed my name and added a foreign phone number. The hackers apparently posted inappropriate content that went against Facebook's community standards. Facebook disabled my account because of this. I tried to appeal on their website and I received an automated message that said, "We have reviewed your account and found that it still doesn't follow our community standards.... You cannot request another review of this decision." The message makes it sound like the hacker appealed their decision. Apparently you can only appeal once, and that privilege was given to the hacker. I tried everything that Facebook says to do on their site. I even tried to upload my ID but it still gives me the same message that my account was disabled because of the community standards. I can't find any contact information to try to contact a live person at Facebook. I would like Facebook to review what happened and to allow me to prove who I am and to reinstate my account. ******************** has not tried to help me solve my problem.Initial Complaint

I have trying to sign on to Facebook for some time. Usually the Facebook registration procedure requires a cell phone number in order to get an account. I DON'T HAVE A CELL PHONE SO I WAS UNABLE TO REGISTER UNTIL YESTERDAY WHEN FOR SOME REASON FACEBOOK ALLOWED ME TO REGISTER AND GET AN ACCOUNT. After getting an account, I searched for various people I thought I knew and looked at the pictures they had posted to their account. I did nothing else except look at pictures and read posts. I did not send any messages or contact anyone. This morning when I tried to access my Facebook account, I received an error message that I was temporarily banned. A few hours later, I got an email saying my Facebook account had been suspended for failing to follow community standards and I had 180 days to disagree with the decision. I read Facebook's literature on its Community Standards and did not find anything I had violated by looking at pictures and reading posts. I clicked on the link "disagree with decision" in the email I received, and was unable to lodge my disagreement because I was required to provide a mobile phone number in order to proceed further. I DON'T HAVE A CELL PHONE. I DON'T HAVE A MOBILE PHONE NUMBER. THIS WHOLE THING IS A RUSE BY FACEBOOK TO GET MOBILE PHONE NUMBERS, PROBABLY TO SELL TO ADVERTISERS. I signed up for an account with Facebook in good faith. I wasted my time trying to locate friends and acquaintances on Facebook and now Facebook refuses me access to my account with *****, FRAUDULENT LIES.Initial Complaint

Today I have had a half dozen comments taken down by Facebook that are clearly within the community guidelines, comments like "Except every major peer reviewed study on the topic says you're wrong" and "I can see how you'd think that if you are uninformed " It's all the more ironic and frankly outrageous because when I reported a comment where a user said that a middle school was "a good place for a pipe bomb," because they were hosting a religious event the commenter didn't like, Facebook said that the comment DID NOT violate their community standards. It wouldn't be so bad if this Trillion-dollar company actually provided support of any kind to its users, but no, they hide behind automated systems that offer no recourse, allow users to abuse the report comment feature to remove comments they don't like, and allow hate speech while cracking down on users who tell people they are wrong.Initial Complaint

I have a $97 payout on my shop for facebook.com/christopheranddrake. I set up my shop hoping to use Facebook as my main store front. After an eager customer placed this order while I was setting it up I started to experience non stop tech issues so I stopped setting it up and used a different provider. However I shipped the order and have yet to receive my payout. I have contacted their support 4 times and each time I'm assured it'll get resolved and then the next day I get an email stating they are closing it because it is a duplicate or they simply cannot help. I am still owed this payout and no one is helping me or responding to me even when I respond to their emails, now their customer help center has been removed from my business page. I would like the payout that is owed to me so I can move on from using this company again. This is theft.
