Instagram has gotten extremely sensitive to the point that you cannot even say **** without it triggering an alert about language. You could say something as simple as that rotten fruit looks gross and Instagram will block and delete the comment then send you a warning. This has caused my account to be deactivated over minor words and exchanges. Im 30 years old and most other people on there are adults as well. Its not bullying and harrasment to tell someone that what they said is dumb or weird. I have been disabled for approximately 3 months now which I feel is excessive. I am not harming anyone, showing ******, impersonating anyone etc. freedom of speech even at a kindergarten level is gone on this app. I would like instagram to review my posts and honestly determine if it warrants being banned. I had an account for 10+ years and now recently with the sensitive warning posts I am banned. I owned up to if I did go against guidelines and am asking for a review of my account. My facebook was recently hacked and my email and phone number were changed by the hacker. I have tried to contact Facebook via all methods. I am not able to get any support from the company. The only thing that was provided to me in the help articles with a link that does not help at all because the link eventually asked me to put the email or phone number I had associated with my account. Since the hacker change their information I do not know the email or phone number that is associated with my account anymore. About one day later the hacker disabled the account and it is now deactivated. This has been a very frustrating and emotional process hasn't been unable to recover my account and not able to contact Facebook about this issue. Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Facebook ********************** concerning a persistent and unresolved issue with our hacked Facebook page (***********************************************), which belongs to our nonprofit organization.Summary of the Issue:Nature of the Organization: Our Facebook page represents a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting needy individuals and those suffering from natural disasters.Date of Occurrence: The page was compromised approximately six weeks prior to April 23, 2023.Attempts to ***************** communications with Facebook support, including detailed emails and case IDs (***************, ***************), have been unproductive. A final attempt was made on August 11, 2023, without success.Impact on Charitable Efforts: The loss of access has dramatically affected our services, including hindering our ability to respond to wildfire recovery efforts on Maui.Details of the Problem:1.Loss of Access: All administrators lost access to the page, impairing our ability to carry out vital charitable activities.2.Inadequate Support from Facebook: The support received was generic and ineffective.3.Unfulfilled Promises: Assurances of resolution were given, but access has not been restored.Impact:Direct Harm to Charitable Work: Our inability to engage in wildfire recovery efforts on Maui exemplifies the detrimental effect this loss has had.Distress and Inconvenience: Significant distress and inconvenience, impacting our ability to serve those in need.I have attached all relevant correspondence with Facebook's support team for your review.This issue extends beyond a mere inconvenience; it represents a failure to support essential humanitarian efforts. Your policies and guidelines are not consistent for everyone . I am blocked by you for posting my thoughts and feelings even though they are not inappropriate in a dangerous way but you Facebook on the other hand does what ever you wish you cause my entire computer system to run slower remove memories that I have and stop me from seeing older post of my own or others This is a social media platform and we have freedom of speech so you need to follow the laws and stop making your own laws .Initial Complaint

I received 3 consecutive emails from *************************************** notifying me that an email address of ************************* had been added to my Facebook account. The link to "This wasn't me" was expired. The 2nd notified me that my password had been changed, I successfully clicked on the link that "This wasn't me". I believe it was at this time that my Facebook account was disabled. The 3rd email notified me that my email address *************************** had been removed from my Facebook account. I am a licensed *************** and real estate agent in ******, **. A social media presence is necessary for my business I belong to many support and network groups that are only available through Facebook business pages which I can now no longer access. I have filed a complaint with the ** and CA Attorney General Offices. Online support from Meta is non-existent because my account has been disabled. I have emailed **************************** and have yet to receive a response. A phone number does not exist for support. I have spent years building my business and personal database and cannot afford the loss of business contacts to start over with a new account. The email tied to my personal FB profile was ***************************. I cannot get to my business page without going through my personal account. My business profile ID is Jilljonline. This business continually harasses me for things that are posted everywhere on social media . I am being discriminated against for my views . They do not give any warning and then suddenly suspend my service . Most of the time I am merely sharing a post that was already present . Even if it was my own we have the right to free speech . In Feb of this year (2023) I received notice via email that my facebook account had been logged into by another party. I immediately went to the app and attempted to change my password, I was unable to do such. During the time between receiving the first notice and trying to change the password approximately 5 mins had passed and I received yet another email this time stating that my account had been removed due to posting terrorist posts. Gave the details on what to do if I wasnt in agreement of their actions. I followed through with that as of course I WAS NOT in agreement at all about this! Never received ANYTHING back from them at all!! I emailed several times after explaining the IMPORTANCE of if nothing else providing me a back up of my messages. We are just starting a custody battle regarding our grandkids and 99% of my evidence was in messages on facebook, MESSAGES that I can no longer access. Thing about this is THEY KNEW MY ACCOUNT had been hacked.. They notified me of such and then didnt even give enough time for me to resecure the account before they completely took it down. They NEVER once bothered to even send a reply back to my many emails. I could care less about getting back on facebook, as I hadnt been really active in a long time due to how much people have changed, but messenger was used daily. I just cant see how a company that was aware of what was going on can then turn around and do this type thing and NEVER ONCE responding to the victim.Initial Complaint

On April 21st I recieved an email from meta stating action needed on my account. With in minutes I tried to complete this action. Was denied stating my account was disabled due to against standard policies. I've emailed several emails to meta. I try the help section everyday with no help. I have credit cards saved on this account and now someone has access to 13 years of my life. They have my Pictures and are my contacting customers and now has my account disabled. I just want access back to my account. They changed my name to ***********************************, changed my email and phone number and I'm unable to access account no matter which way I try to contact meta. I've tried emailing, LinkedIn app, Instagram, and ******* with no replies. I'm hoping this will help getting someone to contact me after 3 months of trying.Initial Complaint
