1 starBought a ring device and didn't see anywhere on the box that I would have to pay extra for a support plan. Also, who do you have to pay off to have a **** customer review rating and have a B+ rating on the BBB. I own my own business and can't even image that. Why can't you just sell a product and stop acting like a sleazy salesperson that tells you it's one price and then you find out, but wait, it is also over $50 a year for a subscription. BAD BUSINESS!Ring

1 starI'm a domestic violence survivor, who is trying to live my life safely and independently. I saw Ring partners with Refuge Charity and NNEDV. which is huge. Monitoring home safety is so important, as they will tell you too. My ex boyfriend has received a felony for aggravated stalking me, and I have a restraining order against him currently. I've had to get 3 against him since I escaped him. I truly fear for my life, and rely HEAVILY on Ring to keep my home safe.I have three floodlight cams and a plus protection plan. One just started flickering and half my driveway is now dark at night. It's easy for him to hide in the shadows, and I'm scared to be honest. It's not just a light issue, it's a safety and peace of mind issue. I troubleshooted with your customer support and she did not offer me a replacement. ******* customer support wouldn't offer me a replacement, but instead a 30 second video about DV. ***, thanks? My situation is unique, and because it's a hardware issue and not an issue with my home, I struggle to find it fair for me to have to shell out another $500 for another camera and installation. I have spend hundreds and hundreds with Ring. I only ask that they have my back in return to my loyalty as a returning customer. Why can't ********************** prove they care about customer loyalty and prove they can be depended on to make it right? The flickering LED light is a common hardware issue, I'm learning, and I'm hoping you can make it right in this unique situation. Your faulty product is the issue, and you can't find a one time exception to send a replacement? Stingy for a billion dollar company who is performative about CARING about domestic violence survivors.Ring

1 starBought a Ring Device from their direct website almost a month ago and still have not received. I contacted Ring support who told me the package was lost and they would resend a new one, that I would received within 3-5 business days. A week later, I still do not have my order. Contacted Ring again today, to be told the second order was never sent. So here we are, literally almost a month to the day that I ordered, and I still do not have my order...which was nearly ******! I asked what can be done to compensate for the inconvenience, and if it can be sent overnight. I was told there was nothing they can do because they 'don't give out free products or services.'10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! This is a nightmare!Ring

1 starBought a Ring device, and after 6 month, someone would come to my door they could hear me, but I couldnt hear them. I kept calling to tell them the issue. Each time they would trouble shoot the issue they said . So finally I had enough. I wanted to speak to someone higher up. Thats when they told me my device was out of warranty . I would need to purchase another one. Yeah after dealing with this they ran my warranty out. Dont buy Ring. They are a joke to deal with, and they dont back their product.Ring

1 starI purchased a ring video doorbell pro 2 around 18 months ago for $200. It will no longer connect to my wifi and I have tried to trouble shoot the problem with Ring Technical Support. They have informed me that it is a hardware issue and there is nothing they can do to fix the problem, except offer me a small discount to purchase another device. I asked about warranty and they said they only have a 1 year policy which I am out of. It is ridiculous the think that a product like this will become defective in less than 2 years and they will not fix or replace the device. I will never purchase another product from Ring and will advise my friends and family the same advice. After speaking with management I realize they have a culture that does not support the customer or the products they sale. If you sale a good product then you need to support it. My advice is stay away from this company.Ring

1 starDefective battery issues? (2023) I bought two separate ring cameras from different companies and each one had a defective battery. If you need to recall batteries due to being defective please do. This caused me to return both products and cancel my subscription. I am now seeking a new security camera system. I may just build my own to have it on site with no cloud streaming. It's not that difficult to set up lop recording. When I contacted customer support i got sort of a half affed reply: "Don't leave camera in extreme temperatures. This will drain battery faster. Make sure battery has had a minimum of 10 hrs charge." I have a few reasons with this recited jargon. 1 It's inside a controlled environment of ***** degrees f. 2 It's bran new and if the battery is not defective should last 6 months not <15 hrs with a 10 hr charge. That's about 50 min per hr of charge. 3. Why on earth would you make an inside/outside camera knowing several customers reside in states with extreme temperature swings? Why? Because of this ring lost my could of been subscription. Another thing I've noticed is your products give out after 2 yrs of use. This is a common complaint on social media forms. Thus forcing customers to rebuy your products every 2 years. I have a few things wrong with this. 1 It's dishonest 2 it's not moral. It's like paying people to leave five star reviews on a bad product.Ring

1 starIt's been 1.5 year since I've been able to use the Neighbors App. I moved and updated all my ring devices with my current address and the map on the neighborhood app still is my old community, but the address listed in the app is where I live now. It's geographically incorrect. I have contacted Ring multiples times over this issue over the past 1.5 years and I am at a breaking point. Here are some of the steps I've taken, which prove unsuccessful. -uninstalled and reinstalled app -deleted my devices and reinstalled my devices -Changed Address, which I had to switch from professional to self monitoring, which was an inconvenience. Then enter my new address again, and the map shows my address, but then again the neighbors app is wrong. -created a new "location" in the ring app. Again, wrong neighbors location map of my old house.Looking on the Ring Community Discussion boards, a lot of people have had this issue since 2020 and appear to still be unaddressed. I am a loyal ring/amazon customer. I've purchased countless devices but at this point, why can't the map update? This is infuriating. My neighbor's house was broken into and robbed the other day and I can't even see the crime and incidents around my neighborhood. All I am asking is for the Map Location (thats at my old house) of my Neighbors app to be moved to my current address without me doing these same "solutions" over and over.. It should be simple but it's proven not. Ring doesnt understand my address is correct, the map is WRONG. Ive called technical support countless times, been run around to different departments countless times, told to email this email (then they say cant help!), DM on ******* and after 20 back and fourth they tell me to cal technical support again!!!For a company thats mission is make neighborhoods safer, what is happening to me doesnt come close to that statement.Ring

1 star2 years ago I purchased a ring cam pro ! For over $200 and something went wrong last week and I called support and was told it was defective and that there was nothing she could do about it the warranty was no longer in effect . Ive had my stick up door bell cam for at least 3 1/2 yrs and was cheaper and still works good . I guess moral of the story is dont buy expensive ring products they only last so longRing

1 starI bought this system with multiple additional window/door alarm detectors and a smoke detector. I decided to return the whole system due to the fact that if my internet is slow the alarm system doesn't work well (even with the Eero's backup internet). The return process itself is a ridiculous! You have to take pictures of everything. I had issues printing labels so I had to chat with their customer service reps who sent me packaging labels. I needed multiple different labels as I couldn't uninstall everything right away so I returned what I could when I could.I never got my refund so I had to chat with a service rep again. After a hour of chatting and waiting for their billing department to "research" my account info, etc... I was given a refund for one of my orders. After I got off the chat I checked to make sure I was refunded for all of my purchases and of course I wasn't, so back to chatting with their rep. ******* hour + and I was told they didn't have any tracking information so I could not prove they received the items so they could not give me a refund. WTH, I used the tracking labels they gave me; I can't use the window/door alarm detectors without the freakin system.... HORRIBLE service, a company this big should have their s*&t together. I wonder how much money they make off their customers returns not being refunded....Ring
