Over a four hour period, I did a complete survey which included small breaks . I was to be awarded 500 points. Once I submitted my survey it went to the next batch of surveys. I went to my activity and seen no points awarded. Survey Junkies client for that survey owes me 500 points. We want to assure you that Survey Junkie does not condone or tolerate purposeful withholding of survey points on our platform in any form. That said, our records indicate the survey ID in question is recorded as an issue within survey. This occurs when a technical issue takes place, preventing our system from being able to capture the end results and preventing a member's answers from being submitted to the provider. As a result, no points are awarded.
The member has since been contacted and this survey ID has been forwarded to the provider for an official investigation. If the member qualified for the promised incentive, these points will be added to their account once the investigation concludes. The member is encouraged to email their dedicated point of contact during this wait period if they have any additional questions or concerns

I am rejecting this response because: I spent way too much time doing this survey. The last question was submitted you responses. I did do this and it went right to a new batch of surveys. I checked my activity and it showed absolutely nothing. I not blaming Survey Junkie at all, I blaming their client. Since I completed the survey, I am due 500 points. Their client in my eyes got a free survey out of me, and as long as it took, they can at least check into this for me. I dont mind if much smaller point surveys do this glitch, but a very lengthy one should never do this. I dont provide my time doing surveys for free. This too more than the 1 hour it said it would take.

Survey Junky is a scam! I signed up with them today and did a survey that took over 30 minutes. For this time I was promised 225 points, but only received 80 points or less. It really doesn't matter because when I selected $$ instead of points I received a grand total of .84. This amounts to 2 cents a minute or so. I am sure some people realize this quickly as I did, but it exploits others who don't.Business Response

I **************************** responded to a email stating that I can cash out my $20.I clicked on the survey junkie link and click to cash out the survey junkie link took me to my paypal account to where I had to verify of which I did, Right after that I was automatic signed out of my survey junkie account.I clicked on change password...Survey junkie did not send me my password change link to my email.I requested password change link to be sent to my email 3 times and still nothing has showed up.Last time I cashed out there was no issues at all.I am really getting sick and tired of these unnessasary hard ships that survey junkie does to us customers.Business Response

My acount was suspended without a specific reason at after 3:00 Am, after some email about my inquiry on lack of available surveys, supposedly. I e-mailed them, over the weekend, because of a problem with cashing out for what I earned. I finally confirmed I would wait for the preferred payment options to open back up. Then they replied to me about my inquiry saying I was suspended when it was only about the unavailable payment methods I prefer (I did not say all payments were unavailable).They said I violated their terms, which I have not. They did not give me a specific reason as to why, when I deserve that. Giving me a list of explainations won't suffice. I have broken none of them. I did not mask where I live, I gave consistent answers, I experienced no chargebacks that I could see, I have not harassed or bothered anybody else, nothing, and I was suspended.I have money in their account I earned I now don't have access to.I want to know what the exact problems is and what can be done to fix it, otherwise I will just believe that they are not offering good business practices.Business Response

In order to improve the security of Survey Junkie and its members, we are introducing a new process of verification which is Photo ID verification, which will be a one time verification tool for our panelists. As a quality and verification measurement tool -this might be required at any point of the membership, in order to additionally:
a) verify the account ( regardless of previous verification statuses)
b) to exclude the chance of the account being compromised
c) monitor the quality of provided information (honest and accurate information about themselves and all survey questions to the best of their ability)
This method is used extensively in the market research industry for security and quality purposes. Again, we would like to emphasize that this is a one time verification check that members will not have to repeat over the lifetime of their account. After they attempted Photo ID verification, their account was flagged however after reviewing their account once more, we have verified and reinstated it. With that being said, the member has been able to continue taking surveys and they can redeem their full points now.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, this is conditional.This issue is temporarily resolved, but I remain concerned. Despite my repeated inquiries about my account suspension prior to its reinstatement, the company has failed to provide any specific reasons. Instead, I received vague responses suggesting various potential issues without concrete details.
If there had been an identity verification problem, I would have been banned immediately upon opening the account and attempting a withdrawal, following the initial verification process. I successfully completed that process without issues and was never asked for additional verification. I would have willingly provided more identification if required, but the initial response did not mention a failed verification as the cause. Maybe what is meant by verification is something entirely different?
The company, in an email to me, acknowledged that the issue was a mistake on their part, which is understandable, but I still lack a clear explanation of what triggered this mistake. I remain confused with the answer. I do not wish to complicate the matter further, but understanding the real reason is crucial to prevent a recurrence and allow me to address any issues on my end.
As of today, my account is still active and I was able to withdraw funds successfully after being reinstated.
If there is a sudden retraction or any suspicious activity, I reserve the right to reopen this case.

I have been completing surveys for survey junkie for some years now.Of which logging in was easy and not annoying like it is now.The major issue that I have with survey junkie is that now every single time I go to log in I can't log in because there is always a error message stating don't reconize device.I have been using the same ******* S23 ultra phone to complete surveys and have not changed that.I contacted survey junkie about this major annoyance of not being able to log in because of their message stating dont reconize device. Yes ********************** does send out email with a tab to confirm your device, But the horrible downside of that is that the device confirmation emails will just stop and you won't receive no more device confirmation ***************************** customer service was just plain horrible they were very nonchaulant and said just make a new ****************************** needs to remove this annoying device not reconized annoyance. Us internet users so clear all data after use because their are hackers who still identies and by survey junkie making us survey users to have to always keep cookies and browser history active on your cell phones and computers is a severely unsafe thing to do to us ******************************** needs to remove device history cookies and data and let us customers log in with user name and password that's it. Earlier this year, we rolled out a new feature called "Trusted Devices" in an effort to enhance the security of our platform. This asks members to verify their account if we don't recognize a previous Survey Junkie session. This feature is a quick and simple process where a verification email is sent to the member's registration email. Majority of the time, it takes anywhere between 15 seconds to 1 minute to receive this email and confirm the requested device. Members will be asked to verify any device that has not been verified yet, regardless of prior ability to access their Survey Junkie account before this feature.
Upon review, we were unable to find previous correspondence from the member about email deliverability issues,nor have they requested a device verification email from us within the last 30 days. They are encouraged to try again and contact our dedicated support team at ****************************************** if they continue to face any difficulties confirming their requested device. Please keep in mind that clearing cache/cookies will reset this confirmation and members will be asked to re-confirm their previously trusted device again. That said, our records also indicate the member was successfully able to create a new account under the email address ************************ on 10/26/23 and has since verified their account to continue taking surveys and redeeming rewards.

Survey Junkie On July 9, 2024 I submitted a survey for 380 points. First of all, at the onset of the survey, more sensitive/personal information was required than is required by most surveys (specifically name and full DOB). Secondly there was a whole section of the survey pertaining to my children. I spent 35 minutes (very long for a survey) answering every question. I finished the survey and submitted it. At this point the survey was complete. There were no additional questions. On the next screen (the screen that would normally award the points), I was told that I was not eligible. In short, I completed the survey, they captured my data, but they were not willing to pay out. Many surveys will disqualify a participant during the course of a survey. I was aware of this. However it is highly irregular that a survey waits to disqualify a person after 35 minutes and all questions answered. This essentially a dishonest business practice. If you hire someone to do work for you, it is too late to fire them if the job is finished. Survey Junkie tried to say that a third party evaluator can disqualify a participant during the survey. This is true, but after the survey is completed? That is using the participant. Other survey sites are aware of this issue and are kind enough to credit the full time. Survey Junkie gave me 50 points, which is hardly worth the time. Why begin a 30 minute survey if you can be disqualified in the 30th minute?Business Response

Survey Junkie values our members' input and time on surveys. While Survey Junkie has no say in the decision-making process of survey terminations and approvals, we are willing to provide reassurance and appropriate compensation wherever necessary. That said, our records indicate the member did attempt 380pt survey ID ******** on 7/9/24. Our records also show they spent 2 minutes within the survey before facing disqualification. This is a standard process throughout the survey-taking experience. We aim for surveys to be terminated within the first 5 minutes, or before the 10 minute **** for higher-paying surveys. This is done to ensure that members can quickly move on to other survey opportunities that *** be better suited for them.
However, using the 35 minute reference specified by the member, we believe they are actually referring to 215pt survey ID ******. Our records show they spent ~48 minutes within this survey before facing disqualification, which is longer than we aim for. While this is not a typical standard, it is entirely possible for this to occur. This is particularly true for higher-paying surveys, as providers are often looking for a very specific demographic or target criteria to be met and thus, the questions asked are often more detailed than a standard 20pt survey. This can include personal information, which is asked to ensure members match what the provider is looking for, but members can decline to share this information and end participation for any survey at any time. It's possible the member did qualify at the beginning of the survey, but by the end, the responses from their demographic/target criteria filled up and no additional submissions were needed.
Nonetheless, Survey Junkie has acknowledged the time spent answering this survey by awarding the member an additional 165 bonus points. We also want to clarify that if a member does not receive the full incentive offered by a 3rd party provider, that their answers are never saved or submitted to the provider. Survey Junkie believes our members should be fully compensated for their feedback prior to releasing this information, and puts in efforts to prevent this data from being shared unless the member receives full compensation for successfully completed surveys.Initial Complaint

Tried to redeem 5490 points which is as close to the non needing verification 5500 as possible. Using Cash App routing number for bank transfer failed. It worked for other places that do bank transfer. They unverified my account. Did the verification check. Sent them the front and back of my ID and sent a selfie. Which was uncomfortable. Failed their verification anyway. So now my account is under review. Will they respond to this, my failed verification follow up, my tweet, or my redemption support email first. Never had to go through this verification with 5$ iTunes gift cards.Business Response

Survey junkie keep allowing me to complete surveys and not paying out. In addition to that, they allow me to complete a survey and not pay out because they don't like the answers. Lastly, they have me start a survey. When I complete the surveys, they will say that it's closed and won't pay. I've sent numerous emails and they denie everything like cowards. Disqualification and quota full are common experiences not only on Survey Junkie, but for other survey-taking platforms. Members won't be able to qualify for every survey opportunity offered to them, but Survey Junkie acknowledges this by constantly working to optimize and improve the survey-taking experience. It is standard to typically spend anywhere from 1 second to 5 minutes on a survey before it is terminated. With that said, our records indicate the member has been properly compensated for all successfully completed surveys as well as received courtesy points for cases where they did not qualify or the survey filled up.
The member has also been able to redeem their rewards for participating in these surveys as recently as 7/9/2024. We are committed to improving our platform and services, and we will take the member's feedback into consideration as we further improve Survey Junkie.Initial Complaint

On June 3rd, 2024, I watched 3 episodes of a new TV series. I answered all the questions properly and did everything I was supposed to. I didn't like the series and was very honest about it. After 2 weeks, I emailed Survey Junkie, because with other websites (EveryoneSeez), I am usually paid around that time, they said that if I didn't receive the 700 points by July 3rd, then get back to them. Again, with other websites, I am usually paid within 2 weeks, and I have never had a problem. Today, July 5th, 2024, I received an email that my responses were not accepted (I have never had these problems with other sites), and I would not be receiving the 700 points. This is unacceptable and egregious business practices. Here is one of their responses:"Thank you for waiting while we were reviewing your case. This is ***** again.Please kindly note that survey #******, worth 700 points, which you did on 03-06-2024 from 3:34:34 pm to 6:51:36 pm, needs to go through a review process, which may take up to one month.The points will be applied to your account once the ********************** review process is finalized.
