I redeemed $10 reward and asked for it to be paid in to my husband's PayPal account. I submitted the verification code as requested but the money has not been received by PayPal and survey junkie don't reply to my chat requests, I have tried phoning but have to leave a message which they don't respond to and also the email address they quote on their automated message isn't a live account, I just want my money paid to me preferably by e-gift card now as it's more instantBusiness Response

I signed up for Survey Junkie on 4/26/2023 and completed enough tasks and surveys to earn **** points, which translates into a $10 reward. I tried to cash out my reward, only to be prevented by a required identity verification. I started the process, only to find out that it was handled by a third party called Onfido, and required me to send them a copy of my government ID, a selfie, and agree to them being able to store all my data and make scan data available to their third party vendors, and Onfido themselves. I did not agree to their terms and conditions so was unable to verify this way. I emailed customer support to see what could be done as I didn't agree to their third party terms, initially they said there was nothing else that could be done, but after I questioned that, they said it could be done via phone call with them, but I don't agree to their data storage terms either. I repeatedly asked for my points to be cahsed out for an Amazon gift card and my account be closed, but they have denied every request. Looking at their terms of service, I could not find any about mandating ID verification before redeeming points, only in the case of PayPal or Dwalla which doesn't apply to me. If ID verification is required, it should be very clear, and done before performing any activity. The fact that they allow activities to be completed, which they will get paid for, but will not allow me to cash out the points I earned, and that they do not make this verification clear, or do it prior to earning rewards, is the core of my complaint.Business Response

In order to improve the security of Survey Junkie and its members, members pass Photo ID verification, which is a one-time verification tool for our panelists. As a quality and verification measurement tool this might be required at any point of the membership, in order to additionally:
a) verify the account (regardless of previous verification statuses)
b) to exclude the chance of the account being compromised
c) monitor the quality of provided information (honest and accurate information about themselves and all survey questions to the best of their ability)
This method is used extensively in the market research industry for security and quality purposes. Again, we would like to emphasize that this is a one-time verification check that users will not have to repeat over the lifetime of their account. However, as an exception, since the member refused to pass Photo ID verification, we have tried calling them in order to complete account verification via phone call, but they have also refused that option. As an exception, once they reach out to us directly, we will pay out their full rewards even though they have not verified their account, and then close their account per their request.Customer Answer

While the explanation has done inaccuracies in it, and they're is nothing in their terms of use regarding mandatory ID validation of every user, they did send me my rewards as requested so I consider this an adequate resolution to my complaint.

I worked so hard so I could have a a couple dollars to get some chips and juice for my lunch break spent 4 hours making only 5 dollars and then when I cashed out the app glitches and closes and my money doesnt show in my PayPal. Its usually instant. Now Im starving at work and it takes up to 5 days for a response. This is a joke. Thats my last time doing surveys for them.Business Response

I had accumulated enough money from Survey Junkie to redeem two $20 egift cards to Amazon. I 'redeemed'/chosen the Amazon egift card on my Survey Junkie account. I then received 2 separate emails from Survey Junkie with the redemption codes to use on Amazon. When I tried to redeem the egift codes on Amazon I got a response saying both of those codes were already redeemed on another user's accounts. I emailed *********************** customer service and they replied that once I redeemed the reward (which to them means that I chose the egift card reward on Survey Junkie website) that they could not do anything else. That doesn't make sense to me at all! Does Survey Junkie not provide the redemption code? I contacted Amazon customer service who informed me that both of the redemption codes that were sent to me were redeemed by someone who was not me! It seems that Survey Junkie is not rewarding me for the work that I did for them, giving me used rewards codes then claiming it is not their fault! When I logged onto my Survey Junkie account a few days later, I noticed that it stated that I had redeemed my points on PayPal. That is completely wrong! Please note that our records indicate that the member has already claimed both of their e-gift cards. Please also note that the e-gift is serviced by ****************** (VI), not by Survey Junkie. That being said, we have personally contacted VI on the member's behalf and can confirm that both these rewards have been claimed. A "claimed" status indicates an instance in which the recipient clicks on the "Activate My Reward" button and their claim code displays. Once it has been claimed, neither Survey Junkie nor VI have insight into how that code is used. Due to Amazon's strict security policies, neither Survey Junkie nor VI have any transparency into account activity on Amazon users' accounts. All that being said, we can confirm that VI did not deliver the same code to two different recipients. Each reward delivered is unique and contains a unique claim code per reward.Customer Answer

I would like to report Survey Junkie (Survey Junkie is an online Survey site) My account was suspended without reason and I currently have $26.23 in my account. I would like to receive the money thats owed to me. I have attached a screenshot showing the amount as well. Survey Junkie refuses to allow me receive my money. I was sent a email informing me that my account had been suspended for tampering with the Survey links and breaching their terms. Survey Junkie support and Customer could not provide any proof to back up their Fraudulent claims. I have done nothing wrong, I did not have several accounts, nor did I breach any of their terms. I am not that tech savy to even know how to tamper with Survey links. I have sent emails explaining to Survey Junkie support and **************** that Ive done nothing wrong. Survey Junkie support and **************** are fully aware of this which is why they Gaslighted me and remained committed in misunderstanding me. I did not create several Survey Junkie accounts I only contacted Survey Junkie support and **************** from my ******************* and another email when I couldnt reach anyone for an entire week. Survey Junkie Support and Customer support will not allow anyone on their team to speak with me other than the very members who have accused me of breaching their terms. I was speaking to another member on their team and the instant I asked How do they go about handling situations if a member account is suspended by mistake? The Survey Junkie member stopped speaking mid conversation and put the same members on who have accused me of breaching their terms. I would like to receive the money thats owed to me thats it. Our records indicate that the member had multiple accounts which is against our Terms. We have deactivated their other account and left their main account, active. We recommend them to refrain from creating duplicate accounts as this is against our Terms and will result in permanent account suspension. They say get points for surveys. Exchange points for money. Multiple times I have answered many questions in these surveys only to be told the survey has already ended and I will not be compensated. They take people's time and survey answers and avoid upholding their end of the bargain. Please note that though it can be disappointing, getting terminated from surveys is a common occurrence and a part of survey taking. It is possible that during the survey, as the survey providers were gathering information, they determined the member was not the kind of participant they were looking for, so they terminated the survey. This can happen at any point in a survey, regardless of how much is completed. Please note that Survey Junkie has no say in members getting disqualified or terminated from a survey and it is up to the sole discretion of the survey providers. However, to reward members for their time and effort we award 2 or 3 points for every disqualification. That being said, third party survey providers do not receive the information a member provides on a survey, if the survey is terminated, meaning a members answers are only saved if they successfully complete the whole survey and receive full points.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I was not disqualified. If you had read the complaint you would know that multiple surveys were "closed" because they already had enough participants.
This wasn't a one-off. I had this happen to multiple surveys when I was nearly finished with them.
This is a trick to keep all of my personal information and opinions without offering compensation. Even if I did get partial compensation (which many times I haven't) 2 or 3 points for a survey I should have received 100 points for is insulting.
They have probably received tens of thousands of nearly completed surveys (millions of answers) without proper compensation.

Please be informed that the third-party survey providers set survey quotas, i.e., a certain number of responses are required for each survey. The message the member received means that while they were completing the survey, the quota of responses needed was met, and the survey was closed. This can happen at any point in a survey, regardless of how much is completed. As mentioned, Survey Junkie has no say in members getting surveys that are closed and it is up to the sole discretion of the survey providers. This claim is extremely misleading as I am kicked from the surveys when I am nearly completely done completing them. Today I wanted to redeem my points and everytime I go to do that all of sudden I have to verify myself wen I have verified my identity multiple times. I gave them the phone number to verify me and they havent called Im tired of doin the surveys for hours jus to get sum extra money and then you cant get it. As easy as it is for me to answer the surveys it should be be jus as easy to get your money. Ive been a member on survey junkie for about 6 weeks, at first things were good. Id accumulate ***** points and redeem with no issues. I was aware that I need approval for anything over ***** my third redemption was for ****** points I contacted them and within 24 hours everything was done. Now 3/24/2023 I have ***** points Im trying to redeem. Ive emailed several times and called and left messages as well and no one will respond to me.
