Survey junkie says they will pay you a certain amount of money to do a survey and state the survey is 20 minutes long they will let you answer 15+ minutes of questions and kick u off so they don't have to pay you I've tested this many times and 80% of all their surveys do it it's not fair they are getting the answers they need and not holding up their end of the deal it happens way to much and for way to longBusiness Response

Survey Junkie is a safe and secure website, trusted by millions of members who take surveys and redeem on a daily basis. That being said, please note that though it can be disappointing, getting terminated or disqualified from surveys is a common occurrence and a part of survey taking. It is possible that during the survey, as the survey providers were gathering information, they determined the member was not the kind of participant they were looking for, so they terminated the survey. This can happen at any point in a survey, regardless of how much is completed. Please note that Survey Junkie has no say in members getting disqualified or terminated from a survey and it is up to the sole discretion of the survey providers. However, to reward members for their time and effort we award 2 or 3 points for every disqualification. That being said, third party survey providers do not receive the information a member provides on a survey, if the survey is terminated, meaning a members answers are only saved if they successfully complete the whole survey and receive full points.Initial Complaint

I take Online surveys with Survey Junkie. I was informed in my Survey Junkie account to reach out to customer service for an account review. I have already been verified with my telephone number and ID front and back. I was still asked for an account review. We ********************** members are informed it takes 24 hours to receive a response from Survey Junkie Support and ***************** I would like my ********************** account verified. I have been reaching out for about 4 days through email and not once have my email been Verified. There was a Survey Junkie support member by the name of **** who asked me to provide my email for verification. Once I did he ghosted me. I sent numerous emails and Survey Junkie Support continued deliberately ignoring me. Its going on four days of this Irrational Unprofessional and Nasty behavior towards me. I have never had this issue with them before. I have $37.65 in my Survey account. I would like my Survey Junkie account verified so that I can receive my money. I have contacted Survey Junkie from ****************** and another email to reach Survey Junkie so that they can verify my account. ********************** Im sure will lie and say that because of me doing so I have created several accounts. No I contacted from more than one social media source I however did not create more than one Survey Junkie account that is. Our records indicate that the member had multiple accounts which is against our Terms. We have deactivated their other account and left their main account, active. We recommend them to refrain from creating duplicate accounts as this is against our Terms and will result in permanent account suspension. I found out that my profile was wrongfully flagged without reason after I asked Survey Junkie to Verify my account. I dont accept there apology but I however have moved forward form the issue and was able to redeem my points and receive my money. Thank you

I wanted to cash out for $10.00 and was told I need to verify my account first with pics of my drivers license. I went through the verification process twice and each time the pics was accepted, but nothing happened and I am still not able to cash out! I think this site is a scam!Business Response

As a quality and verification measurement tool -this might be required at any point of the membership, in order to additionally:

c) monitor the quality of provided information (honest and accurate information about themselves and all survey questions to the best of their ability)

I was using the service without a problem up until the last month or so. I then started to constantly experience the same issues already reported here. The level of support has dwindled with every issue and now it is basically non existent. I was recently prompted to verify my ID in order to cash out. I did this 3 times with valid documents that have had no issues being verified for credit or loan applications, and still they cannot tell me what the issue is. My account remains blocked, and I have to wait anywhere from ***** hours for each response from this company. I have also been referred by thier surveys to two study panels. One of them being a multiple day panel that requires personal information and pictures of medication I'm prescribed. The surveyors were very responsive up until the close of the panel. They have not been heard from since and have not responded to any question about the compensation of $20 for participating and successfully completing. I have attached screenshots of the chat within the panel. This will display the participants questioning about the payment and the company not responding.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:They did swiftly verify my ID so that I could continue and cash out. I am grateful for that. I asked them about the survey panel I was referred to that disappeared with peoples information. They initially told me they would investigate, and even sent multiple messages saying that they would be getting to the bottom of it as quickly as possible. This went in for several days only for me to receive the following message yesterday:
After checking with the responsible department regarding the Toluna study you reported, i would like to inform you that in Survey Junkie, we do not allow recruiting to external panels via our platform, thus, i regret to inform you that we are not responsible for the reimbursement of the mentioned bonus, and we would like to kindly ask you to contact ****** again as they are the responsible party regarding the study you participated in.
This makes no sense at all, because as shown in the screenshots I provided, I absolutely did receive the initial offer from a survey on survey junkie, as did other panel members. This is not the first time I have joined panels from their surveys only to never receive payment. I have just become fed up at this point and have decided to do something about it. This is not acceptable and they need to add a disclaimer to I surveys like this or not host surveys from companies that do this. Now my data is God knows where, and both of these "reputable" companies refuse to do anything about it after getting what they wanted. Sad

I have been doing surveys with this website for approximately two months. I have a verified Paypal account as per terms, and had no issues cashing in points for a transfer to Paypal. Then suddenly with no notice, I go to cash out and receive a message that I have to take a facial picture of myself or my photo ID to be able to prove my identity. So I refuse, and write customer service. After 24 hours of no reply (as they say to give them that long), I log back in to try again. This time I get a message that I need to fill out name, address, phone, which I do. Then it goes to page that allowed you to put the money in a **** gift card, e-gift card, Paypal, or transfer to bank, and every option is gone except to transfer to bank account. This is after jumping through more hoops of proving my identity through a phone text and an email number code I had to enter. I stopped at them asking for my bank account and routing number. The rest of the options were blocked out and not an option. I couldn't use Paypal anymore. At this point, this whole thing looks incredibly shady and suspicious, and so I contacted them again with a message to delete my account and that I will follow up to make sure it is done. I will also be doing reviews to warn others about the creepy behavior of this company that is supposed to be professional. There are other survey sites that offer more money for your time, and no problems getting your money to you transparently.Business Response

I do not believe that now allowing me to cash out my money and giving me an extra $1.00 was anywhere close to an explanation or redemption. Trust was broken here. I dont take my personal data or money I earned lightly. I still want my account closed and have no desire to work with this company again. No one should have to go to the BBB to get heard or respected. Deleting my account and cutting ties will satisfy me at this point.

Survey Junkie has sequestered and is currently withholding $23.06 of earned credit for work completed (i.e. surveys submitted) via their website, surveyjunkie.com, and will not process a requested bank transfer through an approved personal bank account that is recorded in my ** profile and has previously been used to transact approximately $250 in several smaller $5 - $10 increments over the span of a few weeks (from July 11, 2023 through August 30, 2023). Unless and until I "verify" my account by volunteering sensitive personally identifiable information, Survey Junkie is preventing me from accessing funds that are rightfully owed and due to me. I have requested clarification, explanation, and justification for the aforementioned in writing through ** ************* via email to no avail. I stated that the requested verification/authentication data involve an excessive, unreasonable, and disproportionate level of highly sensitive personal information and that privacy/security concerns and identity theft prevention and protection have been of grave concern as a new member of Survey Junkie. I suspect breach of privacy and/or sale of personal data evidenced by the unusually elevated, alarming volume of scam/spam calls and texts since joining ** and, especially so, while logged in to the Survey Junkie website. I seek to secure from Survey Junkie the $23.06 that I am owed, providing no further compromising personal data that ** is demanding, deleting the ** account definitively, and severing all ties to ** thereafter. I signed up for Survey Junkie and completed many surveys through their app. When I signed up it indicated that once I receive at least ****************************************************** paypal/bank transfer. No where did it say that I would have to provide any private personal info. such as a government issued ID to get my points redeemed. It simply states that I would have to provide a valid email. Today I wanted to redeem my ******************************************************************************************* and then my own photo. This seemed strange but I did it since I figured it was the only way to get my reward. After some time I waited and it asked me again to submit my information. There was no explanation or email from the company. Where did my photo of ID go and what is this company doing with my information? I am unable to get my gift card even though I participated in the many surveys. This is a scam and I want this investigated. They are lying about giving money and are probably stealing information. I just requested a $5 amazon gift card and message indicated I have to wait to get it approved. The company lied stating I was approved and used my points. I will have to wait and see if and when I actually get my Amazon e gift card that I just asked for.

I am rejecting this response because: they gave me one survey provider that I never even heard of if you are not the right person for the survey they are not letting you take the survey all the way through and then this has happened 6 times so they are lying and taking the money for themselves if I'm not the right person why would you want me to to complete the survey it's really that simple. They worked out a solution for me and I accepted it not that I am agreeing on the outcome but they did work with me so that goes a long way. My only issue is I'm not allowed to take any high paying surveys anymore and so I have pretty much stopped using them.
