I am extremely disappointed with Survey Junkie, as I have attempted to redeem my $70.80 worth of earnings, from completed surveys on their website, and they are refusing to release my funds unless I provide a scan of my Drivers License. I do not wish to provide this form of ID, as I have been professionally advised not to give this information out, as it can lead to identity theft. I have reached out to Survey Junkies **************** about this matter several times (beginning on February 6, 2024;) however, they have only sent generic responses each time, as to why they need a scan of my Drivers License to redeem and have neglected to reply further. I asked for them to verify my identity through an alternative method, as Survey Junkie explicitly states that you are able to choose an alternative one, right in their own terms and conditions! The terms are quoted as such: You may refuse to provide this information at any time and choose an alternative method of verification. We may also collect your telephone number to facilitate your use of our Services. For example, we may use your telephone number to identify you or to send you reminders or other information via automated or prerecorded voice or text message. (Note provided screenshot of their terms.) Upon reading their terms, they definitely are able to verify ones identity by means of a phone call, over providing your Drivers License. They fraudulently claim that you are able to opt-out of providing your License for verification, right in these same terms. Survey Junkie has continued to ignore me and hold my hard-earned money hostage. I would like to be contacted by them to resolve this issue. I have enjoyed using your site up to this point, and I would like to continue to do so, once I receive a satisfactory resolution from you. Survey Junkie is a safe and secure website, trusted by millions of members who take surveys and redeem on a daily basis. That being said, in order to improve the security of Survey Junkie and its members, we are introducing a new process of verification which is Photo ID verification, which will be a one-time verification tool for our panelists. As a quality and verification measurement tool this might be required at any point of the membership, in order to additionally:
a) verify the account (regardless of previous verification statuses)
b) to exclude the chance of the account being compromised
c) monitor the quality of provided information (honest and accurate information about themselves and all survey questions to the best of their ability)
This method is used extensively in the market research industry for security and quality purposes. Again, we would like to emphasize that this is a one-time verification check that users will not have to repeat over the lifetime of their account. However, as an exception, since the member was having difficulties passing Photo ID verification, we have offered them to complete account verification via phone call. I have been taking surveys for a couple of months. At first everything was fine. Then they started saying they could not verify my computer. I should ask them to send a verification code to my email. They would send the code, I would enter it, and they said they would remember it in the future. But it kept happening. Now they don't send the code at all, so I cannot get on the site. When I went to Chat, "she" said if I would sign up for their help program for $1 (refundable) they would help me get back on the site. I don't want to give them my credit card information. If this is a legitimate problem they should be able to help me without a credit card.Business Response

Survey Junkie is asking me to verify my identity in order to redeem my points. I sent my ID verification as prompted, including the front and back. I also took a picture of my face to match. They still have not verified my account. I submitted my phone number for phone verification and they still haven't called. All I want to do is redeem the $15 worth of survey points that I have accumulated but I cannot without them approving my verification.Business Response

I have not been able to redeem my hard earned points for money on their site since January of this year because of a continuous unresolved problem with the verification of my identity. They refused to tell me what was going on or what they were going to do about this problem when ignoring a few of my emails. I have gone through their required identity verification process as instructed yet they have been doing nothing to help me. The only thing they have been doing is repeatedly emailing me links to the surveys. I am very tired and irritated by this. What is the point of taking surveys if I cannot redeem the earned points? I haven't eaten in days... I can't even pick up my medications... This is the only way I have to get any money until next month... But I'm dying of cancer and I have neuropathy in both hands... I just got mugged and severely beaten... So I cannot hold my phone well enough to get a proper picture of my id card... And the fact that I can't buy any food or get my medications didn't help either... When I went to cash out my rewards from Survey Junkie, I was asked to provide a picture of my driver's license and to consent with giving the company use of all my personal identifying information, in order to redeem my rewards. I declined and contacted the company to redeem my earned money, they responded an alternate way would be to provide my personal phone number and talk to them. This is a gross invasion of privacy, they should not be allowed to force people to provide personal information to redeem earned rewards. They are stealing peoples money. I asked them to give me my money and close my account, neither of which they have done yet.Business Response

When they changed their format on approximately 1/8/2024 all my info was lost. I was told my email could not be found and I had no account, yet when I tried to make a new account it told me there was already an account for my email. I have been emailing back and forth to get my earned money but they refuse to give it to me because they say there is not an account for me. I take Online Surveys with Survey Junkie and am being Discriminated against for the color of my skin. Survey Junkie definitely has a personal problem towards people of color on their platform. I have had conflict in the past with this site and assumed everything was resolved. It wasnt and there is still some passive aggression towards me. Survey Junkie has suspended my account without reason. I have not done anything to violate their terms. I experienced an increase in Fraudulent behavior Only while accessing Survey Junkie. I was asked to confirm my device. I had never been asked to do so. (A survey junkie support member informed me that every member was asked to confirm their device which was a lie) Survey Junkie switched their entire setup of their website for me and switched it back to the original setup before banning me. I have attached screenshots of everything. I would took numerous surveys without being compensated. I completed surveys and would receive missing URL in the place of my points. I informed Survey Junkie support of the issue and a member on their support team by the name of ********* tried to persuade me into keeping my account. I informed her that I feel creating a new account would resolve the issue. ********* informed me to reach out to her once I created a new account so she can deactivate the old because it is against Survey Junkies terms to have duplicate accounts. I reached out to her and instead of deactivating my account ********* ghost me and sent me a email the next morning informing me that I have been banned from Survey junkie. In actuality this was a passive aggressive tactic of Survey Junkie support to ban me from their platform. I have taken screenshots of everything. There is definitely a personal problem towards me and I feel it needs to be looked into. I wanted to continue taking surveys to earn a little money until I get on my feet but No one should be treated in this manner completely unacceptable. Thank youBusiness Response

We want to assure the member that Survey Junkie does not condone or tolerate discrimination or harassment on our platform in any form. We are committed to improving our platform and services, and we will take the member's feedback into consideration as we work to improve Survey Junkie. After a thorough investigation, our records indicate that the member has been in violation of creating numerous accounts in the past, which is strictly against our Terms. We have since deactivated their other accounts and have left the requested account active. We recommend them to refrain from creating duplicate accounts, as this is against our Terms and will result in permanent account suspension. That being said, the member has since been able to continue taking surveys and redeeming their points.
All other concerns have also been addressed via email, but will be briefly summarized here for transparency:
-The member has been offered a dedicated agent to be their future point of contact for any additional concerns, questions or feedback
-The "Confirm Device" email is a feature added in late 2023 to further enhance the security of our platform. If the device or web browser has not been verified with this new feature yet and an attempt to log in is made, a member will be asked to confirm the device via email first. Clicking on the link to confirm your device will register it as a 'Trusted' device and allow a member to proceed to their Survey Junkie homepage. Clearing cache and cookies will reset this confirmation

Our records indicate that the member had multiple accounts which is against our Terms. As mentioned, we have deactivated their other account and left their main account, active. We recommend them to refrain from creating duplicate accounts as this is against our Terms and will result in permanent account suspension. That being said, the member has since been able to continue taking surveys and has since redeemed their points on their main account.
