I never got paid for completing surveys for Survey Junkie I wanted to redeem my points and I have reached out to them many times about not receiving my money also I have shown proof of my ID front and back twice live plus took a selfie twice live, now that's something I have never done is put out my identification card online and yes I'm still nervous about doing that, I have reached out to them at least about 10 times still the problem has not been resolved I wasted all my time doing the surveys I deserve my money, I am reaching out to BBB so you can resolve this issue I want to know is Survey Junkie a legitimate company.Business Response

In order to improve the security of Survey Junkie and its members, we are introducing a new process of verification which is Photo ID verification, which will be a one time verification tool for our panelists. As a quality and verification measurement tool -this might be required at any point of the membership, in order to additionally:
a) verify the account ( regardless of previous verification statuses)
b) to exclude the chance of the account being compromised
c) monitor the quality of provided information (honest and accurate information about themselves and all survey questions to the best of their ability)
This method is used extensively in the market research industry for security and quality purposes.Again, we would like to emphasize that this is a one time verification check that members will not have to repeat over the lifetime of their account. Please note that we were unable to verify the member's ID submissions due to quality concerns. Survey Junkie is a safe and secure website, trusted by millions of members who take surveys and redeem on a daily basis. That being said, note that though it can be disappointing, getting terminated from surveys is a common occurrence and a part of survey taking. It is possible that during the survey, as the survey providers were gathering information, they determined the member was not the kind of participant they were looking for, so they terminated the survey. This can happen at any point in a survey, regardless of how much is completed. Please note that Survey Junkie has no say in members getting disqualified or terminated from a survey and it is up to the sole discretion of the survey providers. However, to reward members for their time and effort we award 2 or 3 points for every termination. That being said, third party survey providers do not receive the information a member provides on a survey, if the survey is terminated, meaning a members answers are only saved if they successfully complete the whole survey and receive full points.Initial Complaint

I have been taking surveys with survey junkie for two years. Without a warning they changed the whole layout and now want a drivers license uploaded to redeem points. I have contacted them multiple times to redeem my points for a gift card. I explained that I don't want o become a victim of identity theft due to sharing my drivers license. I have always been verified by my cell number. So please address accordingly and let me redeem my points since I earned them rightfully and honestly.Business Response

In an effort to enhance security and act as an additional quality and verification tool, members that have not previously bypassed Photo ID verification may be asked to complete this step before redemption.
We would like to emphasize once more that this is a one-time verification check members will not have to repeat over the lifetime of their account. In addition, members may opt out at any time and request an alternative verification method. Our records indicate that we attempted to contact the member on 4/18/24 and were unfortunately,unable to get in touch. I have been doing survey junkie for over a year and two days ago. I tried to cash in 500 points for five dollars gift card to Amazon. It usually works and I can earn something for doing the surveys that I enjoy doing to help them.Two days ago, I did the verification to cash in my points and I checked my profile and my account and everything was in gibberish -all my points for the past year and for the previous year were not there and my email address was gibberish on my profile. I have had no luck trying to email them with this complaint. I tried to do a chat with them. I tried to call them and I kept getting bounced off. Apparently maybe their site was hacked, but I have lost everything that *** worked on for over a year, I have earned some money through Amazon, which Im very happy about and I would like to continue doing these surveys, but not if Im going to have such trouble from now on.Business Response

Our records indicate that the member had multiple accounts which is against our Terms. We have deactivated their other account and left their main account, active. We recommend them to refrain from creating duplicate accounts as this is against our Terms and will result in permanent account suspension. Survey Junkie is a safe and secure website, trusted by millions of members who take surveys and redeem on a daily basis. That being said, the member created a duplicate Survey Junkie account using the "Hide my Email" feature on their Apple account. According to our records, a duplicate account was created using the email address *********************************** and 75 points from the sign up bonus (25) and general profile (50) were awarded. Members can find their private Apple ID by navigating to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Hide My Email.
In order to access Survey Junkie, members must choose to login or sign up. Please note that logging in will automatically redirect members to their homepage, whereas signing up will result in 5 profile questions to create an account. The last steps requires new members to add their first/last name and create a password. Since then, the member has been able to continue taking surveys and redeem on their active account.Customer Answer

I redeemed my points by directing payment to my checking account. My account then reflected zero points. I began accruing points afterwards. After around a month of waiting for the money to reach my account, I contacted **********************. I was told I had provided the incorrect account number or routing number. Given the gross incompetence of Survey Junkie, my error is doubtful. I was told the points were restored to my account which was a lie. Now they treat the surveys I performed after my botched redemption of points as if those were the points restored in spite of the fact the dates of the surveys are after I redeemed the points. I redeemed approximately 2500 points. I now have to perform this verification process but the site says my account is under review and to return later. I now have been told two or three times I now can verify my account but that is a lie. The site still says my account is under review and return later.Business Response

That being said, the member was provided further assistance via a support ticket on 4/12/24. The redemption in the amount of $18.32 was successfully reversed on 3/18/24, with the points subsequently added back to the account. According to our records, the redemption failed as we were unable to locate an account with the provided bank details.
In addition, Survey Junkie has provided documentation that all points have been properly awarded to their account in the form of an Excel and PDF sheet. Please note the member's account is confirmed to be in good standing and fully verified, and they have since been able to redeem their rewards.Initial Complaint

I all of a sudden got blocked with a page implying that they suspect me of being a hacker simply for attempting to complete a paid survey on their iOS app like normal. If a consumer panel survey site blocked all consumers for doing surveys they would go out of business and likely end up bankrupt as well.Business Response

I just had a chat session with them today approximately 30 minutes ago. I'm trying to redeem my 2012 points for cash. Survey Junkie, out of the blue, says they want a profile verification, which means a copy of my driver's license. I tried to engage this process numerous times since Sunday afternoon, but got nowhere. They gave me a generic reponse about emailing me back about this issue but haven't done so. I've been scammed. I want my $20.12. I earned it and I want it ASAP. Furthermore, during today's chat, I brought up doing a phone verification. This was blatantly ignored. I'm open to doing this.Business Response

I have been doing surveys on Survey Junkie for a couple of years and have always taken a lot of pride in doing it. When they offered the phone application, I added because this was an additional way to do what I enjoy. You really make small amounts, so I would focus on the surveys. On February 29th, I received a message on my profile that there was an issue with my account and reached out to the support team. I had accumulated $103.43 which took a very long time to do that. I was stunned when the analyst from support advised on March 1st that there has been unauthorized activities coming from my account and it violated the Term and Conditions, of Survey Junkie. The account was permanently suspended, and the funds would not be paid per the analyst. I totally disagree with Survey Junkie on the outcome. I worked extremely hard for the funds that are in my account. I have never created multiple accounts, and the only mistake I made was to add that the Survey Junkie application to my phone. I thought I was doing good by having another option in addition to my laptop. I guess I was wrong.Business Response

Putting our best effort into ensuring the highest level of quality, Survey Junkie constantly runs anti-fraud scans and security monitoring. Our records indicate that the member had unauthorized activities/link tampering on the account, which is a violation of Survey Junkie's Terms of Use and what led to their suspension. That being said, the account has since been reinstated and the member should be able to continue taking surveys. They have also been assigned a dedicated agent to assist with paying out the rewards as they have exceeded the ***** point threshold.
