I keep getting emails from an online seller (Stamps.com). I do not have an account with them and I do not buy stamps online nor have I ever. They are asking me for ****** dollar fee for services. Since no services were requested or received I believe that they are scamming me. There is no ways to get in touch with them to request accounting information. They are asking for credit card information (they say they have a credit card of mine that is no longer valid) but since ive had the same credit card for years I wonder how that could be? Please advise. Thank you.Business Response

Around June 2023 I received a postage offer including blank postage labels and an offer of free postage. I went online and signed up for stamps.com account, but I wasnt able to redeem the free postage. So I went ahead and paid $10 so I could printout postage on the freeblank postage labels they had sent me. I had some trouble adding my card to pay the $10, due to incomplete verification. Eventually after a support ticket was opened a customer care person was able to fully verify my account and the $10 showed in my account and I was able to purchase/print the postage onto the labels. The next day I remembered seeing something about a free trial when I created the account the day before. I did not want to be charged any reoccurring fee. I was never able to print the remaining $5 worth of postage I had remaining in my account. I only had the free labels worth $5 that came in the mail, so I was happy I was able print the postage and figured the remaining balance would be refunded and if not oh well it was only $5 bucks.I replied to the email from the customer care person I had received the previous day and didnt think about it again. Until today when I was reviewing my banking and was surprised to see ive been paying $20 bucks a month since I signed up. I was able to log into my account and I couldnt find anywhere to cancel. I tried calling customer service but they werent able to locate my account. So I think at this point if I dont hear back from them Im going to have to cancel the debit card on file to get payments to stop. Which is a huge pain because so many accounts are tied to that debit card. Also I dont know if they will send me to collections if payments stop, I DO NOT want this going on my credit report. Here is some info from the email with customer care, and my username is **********. Hopefully this helps.Your Stamps.com Account[*************]Response (**********) (06/09/2023 08:34 PM)Reference # ******-004715 Thank you.Business Response

I have never received anything from this company and do not understand why they are charging a card from my household [*********************] EIGHTY something dollars! I am absolutely SICK of these corporations taking card numbers and doing whatever with them. I have disputed this fraudulent charge with my ban twice and this company keeps doing something to keep it from happening. This is absolutely unacceptable. I went without food for a few days because of this company. If the money is not put into my account immediately, I will be writing a review online as well as taking this bogus online company to court. If we go to court, I will be walking away with more than eighty dollars, I promise you that. This large company stole from my small family. Shameful as heck.Business Response

We do have a wide variety of customers - over ************* customers- who enjoy the experience of not having to rely on expensive postage meters and who require more functionality and features than what other PC ******* services currently offer.

I signed up and used this service at the suggestion of my husband, for ordering stamps when needed and ultimately ended up not even using it. I was completely unware that I was opting in to some kind of subscription service. I received NOTHING from this subscription service, I did not even use it as I wasn't even aware I had it. It took two months of charges ($19.99 each totalling $39.98 with an additional charge when I canceled of $4.66 equaling $44.64 in charges I did NOT knowingly agree to) until I noticed and I believe I should get a refund considering the fact that I received absolutely nothing from this service and did not use it at all. I canceled my account but there is a warning saying I will "permanently lose my account history" which is frustrating because I don't want to lose the proof that I was unfairly charged but I refuse be be charged further for something I did not want nor was made aware of. Please, I need a refund from this website, If I had received $44.64 worth of stamps or something I would not want a refund, but I was charged an extra $44.64 and got ZERO services or stamp. This really feels extremely manipulative and I would like addressed.Thank youBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because:I have waited 48 hours since being told of the refund, and in that time my bank account has received no hint of a refund. There is nothing even being processed or pending, and although they gave a confirmation number, they gave no way of checking the number, and since I closed the account to try to prevent further charges I have no way of checking through their website.
Sincerely,

On Jan 25 2024 I made a profile on stamps.com to see if I could use it as a backup to purchasing shipping labels through **** for my **** sales. I made one label & never used it again. A week ago I received an alert that stamps.com was trying to charge me a $20 subscription fee (I dont even have that much money so it didnt go through). Im unemployed & selling things on **** to try to survive, so I definitely would not have chosen to buy a subscription to anything for $20 a month. I went to stamps.com & canceled my subscription immediately. I was afraid I had just made a mistake or not paid enough attention but then I found the internet full of people who had the same thing happen. There are 84 pages on this website of complaints from people all with the same experience. And stamps.com is here replying to them so they are completely aware this is happening, so theres no question that theyre doing this intentionally. They sent me an email saying theyre charging me like $19 anyway, AFTER the $20. I have to cancel my debit card because I dont know how else to stop them. They arent listed with the other autopays on my account so whatever theyre doing its not at all transparent. Im so stressed out they took the little bit of money I had, I dont understand how they continue to get away with this.Business Response

We show that we prorated your final fee. $19.99 was the amount that we subtracted. Rest assured it was not an extra charge. We show that we emailed the following: The purpose of this e-mail is to inform you that we have reduced your bill by the amount of $19.99 based on your account closure request. On December 13th 2023 I opened and subsequently closed a stamps.com account. I was assured it was closed, but stamps.com is continuing to attempt to bill me at a card that is not going through because there isn't enough credit on it. Since that time I have received repeated email messages telling me that my payment is not going through and to correct my payment. Every time I receive this account notification, I call or email and receive reassurances from stamps.com that I do not owe them any money and that my account is closed. This has now happened for the fifth time and I am reaching out to the better Business bureau because I am not receiving resolution with stamps.com. they keep telling me it's done, and then it isn't. I have a number of confirmation numbers from when I talk to agents who tell me the account is closed. I can provide these if requested. I'm going to list the dates that I have received email from stamps.com about the payment failing. Please note again this is a payment that should never be attempted to draft as I have been assured repeatedly that I owe nothing and that the account is closed. Here are the confirmation numbers: 240213-003543,240220-003168, 240213-003543, 240225-000707, 240228-003020.Business Response
