Early in 2025, I visited the Stamps.com website. I did not order, and I did not receive, any of their products. Nevertheless, Stamps.com continued to charge my credit card about 4 times, for about $18 or $20 or other sums. The first time I called them, they processed a refund and promised it would not reoccur. But it did. The second and third time, same thing. They charged me for products or services I never ordered, wanted, or received, and each time they processed a refund to my card promissed they had done something---I never understood what---that would stop my card from being charged. But it occurred again, and again. Most recently I called them on July 1, 2025. My credit card account showed a charge on June 28, 2025 for $18.02. This time they claimed---improbably---that they had already processed a refund the previous day, June 27th. This makes no sense. What explains giving me $18.02 on June 27th, and then charging my card the very next day with that same amount? I cannot describe the enormous expenditure of time to call these people and continue to question them long enough that they finally arrive at that unbelievable statement: first they gave me a refund, then they charged me the same amount the next day, the Supervisor or Team Manager actually said. FWIW, they did confirm that this was the 4th time I'd called about this repeated problem. And it is no help that they did refund some charges. The problem is that they repeatedly charged my credit for amounts I never approved, for products I never ordered and never received.

Try to cancel account and end up in an endless cycle of unable to access account call customer service. Received emails saying they would reset password and never got one. Horrible online service. They are practicing unethical online business. Warn others. I will use my credit card company to handle cancellation since they wont allow me to do it online!!

We requested a $327 refund for unused labels, which we were not able to use because requirements for our type of package were not stated clearly on the website. Stamps.com provided instructions for shipping them the unused labels along with their claim form, as a requirement for a refund. That was in December. Six months later in June, we still have not received a refund, and the claim status still shows a "pending" status in the website. We have inquired about the status via email, phone, and online chat multiple times. We've been issued three separate ticket numbers, dozens of failed promises, and an obvious unwillingness to even attempt to understand our communication. **************** is incompetent, lazy, and untruthful to the point that we no longer wish to use their service. The **** website offers the same services on a more user-friendly platform.

We sincerely apologize for the negative experience and for the frustration, *******.  We show that our Email Team had the pleasure to assist you with this issue this week.  Thank you for providing the claim numbers.  As verified by our Support Team, we are able to approve a courtesy credit of $327.56.

After consulting with our backend team, it was determined that no claims have been received on our part.   We sincerely apologize for the time and research required to resolve this.  We strongly believe in the value of our service and we always want to work hard and research comprehensively every issue to ensure our customers have a positive experience when working with Stamps.com. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.  Please rest assured that we will be reviewing the interactions in question.

We apologize for any delay regarding your misprint request.  All misprint refund requests must be sent to, reviewed, and approved by the **** before being credited back to your Stamps.com postage balance account. When you purchase postage through our software, the postage is purchased directly from the USPS.  e/Refunds with Shipping Labels typically take 2-3 weeks to process; Mail-in Refunds are generally processed within ***** weeks of receipt of claim.

Should you require additional assistance, please let us know.

Signed up with Stamps.com with an option-less subscription. After completion, I looked to select my account type. It was already selected for me as a low level serice at $20/month. I wanted a free subscription to occasionally print a first class stamp. Of course I wanted to delete this account and go back and find a way to get a free account in which I could not find a way to do this. Upon attempting to cancel, I THEN WAS OFFERED A FREE SUBSCRIPTION. I was already skeptical because If I did not search my account for service I never would have known I was signed up for a paid account. Very fishy. Anyway I read the fine print for accepting the free subscription and it indicated it would start at the end of the current billing period and $20 would be reflected on my bill. Now realize that I never selected a paid account but received one and it has only been 5 minutes at most since my subscription was approved and they want $20. for my free subscription for the first month. I was furious and decided to let others know my experience. I also wrote to the Attorney General to tell them the tactics Stamps.Com is using to extort money from customers. I feel like I am in the old days of unscrupulous phone sales from phone services that give you a different plan than you signed up for at extremely elevated rates. I guess the internet is giving them these opportunities know until the fines get high enough for being greedy businesses and actually start a customer relation while trying to fool you out of money. So Sad!

Thank you for sharing your concerns, ******.  Rest assured that you were not charged a service fee as you closed your account within the 4-Week Trial Period.  We appreciate your detailed feedback regarding the plan change structure.   In accordance with our terms  ( www.stamps.com/conditions ) we always bill at the end of the cycle, not at the beginning.  This means that when a service plan change takes place, the new billing always goes into effect at the end of your next cycle.  We do show that you signed up for the $20.99 Core Plan.  However, as indicated above, you canceled during the 4-Week Trial Period and will not be billed.  In regard to the subscription-free plan, this change would have taken place in the next cycle if you had decided to keep your account open.
As indicated in our terms, if you do not cancel your account before the end of your trial period, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged a Service fee from the commencement of your Service, including for the period of the trial offer. The trial period is not a free period if Service is not cancelled before the end of the trial period. So, for example, if you are a monthly Service fee user who signs up for a four week trial offer and you do not cancel within the trial period, after the end of the trial period, you will be charged (a) a monthly Service fee covering the first billing cycle including the trial period, and (b) then one month later you will be charged the next monthly Service fee covering the preceding month, and you will continue to be charged a monthly Service fee unless and until you cancel your account. Each fee will be charged at the end of the billing cycle - in other words, at the end of the month of Service to which the fee applies.
If we can clarify further, please let me know.
    Sincerely,
    The Customer Support Team

I tried to sign up for Stamps.com today after a few years of not having had a need for help with my mail. That seemed to go alright although the scale they were supposed to send me via an email code or something never materialized. I put in some money to send a simple package but neither the preview or the actual print would work, they kept sending me the same error. The chat which I assume was a bot or bot assisted couldn't keep up with the conversation. Kept suggesting taking over my screen to trouble shoot. I kept telling it (as I think it was a chat bot) no that isn't something I'm comfortable with. To its credit it promised to cancel my account and issue me a refund, in 4-6 week. It told me that they didn't send chat transcripts to your email. I told them that was in my experience and expectation standard practice. They did give me an email with the case number and nothing but another case number and asking if I was still there. No email confirming cancelization as I was expecting. I kept the emails and have a screen recording of the whole show of unprofessional incompetance I saw on display. I have had good dealings with Stamps.com in past years and am sad to see how far down the customer service has gone.I'm not sure if I was dealing with a human trainee or a robot that hasn't been set up properly. I know how chat bots are set up and I saw signs that could go either way. I would like my account canceled for sure with no BS charges and my money to be returned before your trainee or *** 9000 indicated it would happen. You can take money from me right away but can't give it back until a month or more later hoping I'd forget? That is unacceptable in this day and age. And if it wasn't you and you've got some scammers who are ruining your reputation. I'll be happy to provide you my screen recording and emails. It is your good name and it is on you to make it right. Least you can do after not even fixing your errors so I could print your name, stamps.

Thank you for all of your feedback, ******, and we are sorry to hear that you had such a negative experience.  Rest assured that your account is closed and that any remaining purchased **** postage in your account balance will be converted into a refund for you.  We do show that the $10.00 refund has been processed for you as of May 19, 2025.  Thank you for your feedback regarding the chat transcript issue.  We take these concerns seriously and are reviewing this issue further.   Rest assured that your concern via chat was handled by an actual person and not a robot.  Because we are converting **** funds for printing postage into cashable funds for you,we do require this time for processing.  Rest assured that remoting in is a completely optional procedure and is not done without the customers consent.  We find that it is a useful tool to more effectively and quickly diagnose technical issues in some cases.  However, rest assured it is optional.  We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the negative experience.  We hope we can restore your confidence in Stamps.com.

Trying to get funds that were owed to my mother's account, who had passed in 2023. It is now 2025 and we are still trying to get the funds. Provided the requested paperwork and spoke to customer services **** every few months. Still "hitting the pavement" trying to get the funds that are due. Would NOT recommend working with this company.

I canceled my account almost a year ago to find out today that I have a charge for $350 on my credit card. They said the most they could refund is $150!! That's a $200 difference!! For an account I haven't used for coming up on a year!!!!! That's absurd!!

Thank you for sharing your concerns, *****.  We show that a courtesy refund of $150.00 had been issued on 4/15/25. Rest assured that we have issued an additional refund of $222.33 as a courtesy.

We apologize for any misunderstanding that occurred.   We have reviewed our e-mail and phone contact history and unfortunately, we do not show that we have received any  form of contact from you requesting cancellation prior to 4/15/25.  We do have multiple systems in place to ensure that we have complete records of all emails, chats, letters, and calls.

Were sorry to hear that you havent been using the Stamps.com features and services available to you with your account.  The monthly service fee is a flat rate fee that provides access to your account. The fee is not based on usage or activity.
Your service fee is a flat fee that is not determined by how much postage you print.

We do apologize for the negative experience and if we can help further, please let us know.

I did NOT authorize a subscription, I don't even remember making an account ever, but I must have done so a LONG time ago to check out the service. This month, out of nowhere, they charged me a subscription fee. I checked, and I have not even been charged any other month. Just randomly charged this month. I did not authorize it and there is not even a way to stop the subscription service on their website. Luckily, I work with nonprofit legal services and will be speaking to them about this if I do not get a refund and subscription cancelation.

Deceptive onboarding that tricks potential clients into sham subscriptions via hidden terms and pricing. Refuses to give refunds after charging you without permission. Then tells you about their "free" accounts afterwards. These people are scammynat best.Instead use Pirate Ship, the pricing is the same or better with our all the scams thrown on top that steals from small business owners.

The worst company ever to work with. I have not made any purchases or had any account activity on my account with them for 2 years and the took $419.79 out of my account for a subscription that I never signed up for. First the math is not matching what 2 years worth of services would have cost. Second when I called to get a refund they said they could only refund $250 of the $419.79 that they withdrew out of my account and a Manager said to dispute with my bank to get the remaining of the $419.79 since my back paid the bill. What a ************** just go to the post office and buy your stamps. Would never recommend and hope that this company goes bankrupt and has to shut its doors down because ripping off hard working Americans is disgraceful and they should be ashamed of themselves.
