This is a scam!! The website says 100% money back guarantee!! I was charge $189 when the site says $159. I only started to fill out a questionnaire and didnt finish. I emailed to cancel. They said I had to call. so I called and they said they would cancel it and refund my money in 1-3 day. Two weeks by and still no refund. I called to complain and they hung up on me. Every time I call they hang up!Business Response

After having an issue with my case I noticed a few things after paying over $600 for the premium "we do all the work for you" package 1. I sent the documents and check for the district clerk ($350) to you using the provided envelope that I was giving with the address that it needed to be sent to. Checked the receipts and it was delivered a few days after being mailed out.2. Been over 2 months and no progress had been made on my account but they keep charging me a monthly membership fee of $39.99 for them to do absolutely nothing 3. Called several times and all representatives mentioned that they needed the signed paperwork with district clerk check, even though its already been mailed and delivered. 4. Did some in depth research and noticed this company isn't accredited by the BBB and has many complaints similar to mine 5. Before any further issues come by or any legal action taken from my end I would very much appreciate a full refund for lack of service and time wasted.Business Response

Send them money via zelle in order to fee for filling divorce papers, never heard from them or anything. Would like my money back!!!! A shame how they target a vulnerable population in time of need to just charge and keep the money. Not only do their fees change but you never know what your getting!Business Response

On 03/23/23 I used OnlineDivorce.com to start a divorce filing. I paid a fee of $159 dollars, no services used as of yet only a few questions about myself including email and phone number. After paying the fee I was advised applicable fees would be charged to provide the full cost of service I concluded I could not afford to use online Divorce. Unfortunately I was under the impression the service would be $159 for papers and filing. It wasnt until after paying that I was informed of this additional fee. ($399)I made other arrangements to file with the local court and use SHARP which is a self help agency that could possibly waive all court fees and assist me with the filing process at no cost. I returned to the customer service ********************************************* website for a full refund, no services had been used, paperwork submitted or downloaded at this time, I was informed I would not be refunded my money, the conversation became impertinent and crude with the supervisor and I speaking over one another the call ending on his behalf. He did state I could recover half my refund of $159 which I declined.I advised I was filing a complaint with the BBB, shortly thereafter in my email I received a message stating $59.50 would be returned to my original card used. To be clear this isnt even half of $159. I need help recovering all of my money from this company who scammed me for services I did not use. They did nothing for me. I am also leaving a review on their website that will allow others to review my experience. This will at least help from making the mistake I did and hopefully help in better choosing a more safer, honest, and responsible business.Business Response

Hi,
A resolution has been reached between the merchant and myself.
They have agreed to pay back the original amount of $159 minus the $39.99 dollar fee for signing up for a total of $119 dollars.
I feel the matter can now be closed.
Thank you to onlinedivorce for being reasonable and to the BBB consumer complaints for stepping in and supporting both sides. I hope everyone has a happy weekend.

I paid 159 dollars for a "hassle free" divorce and it's been anything but. I wasn't able to download my forms before 30 days was up so now unless I pay ***** again, I can't access my forms. There is absolutely no reason I should have to pay even more money for forms that I have already paid for!!! I can understand if I needed them altered or corrected in any way then yes, I would pay additional fees. However it's horrible business to prevent clients from obtaining original forms that have been paid for. And when I asked to be refunded I was told no because it's out of the 30 day range. Disgusting to say the least. Preying on hard working people who are going through and already, delicate time.Business Response

I subscribed to Onlinedivorce.com's service from July, 2022 until December 30, 2022, which cost about $39.99 per month; I also paid for a $300 money order to file the divorce with the court. My (separated) spouse and I filled out the requisite forms that were provided through Onlinedivorce.com, printed and signed them, completed a divorce interview, then mailed them to Onlinedivorce.com, where they were supposed to be reviewed and then filed with the court. The case has been stalled since I mailed the forms to Onlinedirvorce.com on October 3, 2022. Since then, I have called Onlinedivorce.com's customer service line multiple times and emailed to inquire about the status of my case. Multiple times between October and March, I have also called the ****** County Court in ** where Onlinedivorce.com says they filed the paperwork. The court refuses to give me any information about the case because I don't have a case number and did not submit the paperwork myself; Onlinedivorce.com's customer service said they couldn't give me any information about my case because they never received a case number. I was repeatedly told by Onlinedivorce.com's customer service to wait because the courts were working through a backlog. It seemed as though the agents were simply working through a phone/email queue and did not pay any attention to trying to resolve my problem. I believe I would have been better off downloading the forms (which are available for free through the state) and filing by myself without paying for this subscription. I don't think Onlinedivorce.com provided the service they sold to me, which was meant to streamline the process of filing for a dissolution. The last time I emailed customer support, I asked for a refund. I received an emailed response from Onlinedivorce.com that says I'm not eligible for a refund because they already sent the forms to the court for filing.Business Response

Hi I have spent near $500 with these people. Everything was going smooth until they sent my papers off to the courthouse now my papers have been supposedly sitting in a court house PO BOX for almost a month now. My suggestion was to maybe call the court house and tell them but I just keep getting the same lame response as to just give it time. They have no problem taking my money each month but show absolutely no help in solving this issue. Please help me. I just want this divorce finalized.Business Response

I agree with others who have reported their issue here. This place is a complete SCAM!! All the advertising says $159 and that is it. Nothing says there will be other fees. They charge you an activation fee!! An activation fee by itself is a complete scam. During the process in order to complete the process, you have to sign up and pay for more services. Which they don't tell you until after you pay. Because you can't gain access to more information until you pay. Then ****** from the support team offered to give me half my money back. Clearly the job of these support agents is to keep as much money as they can. I have received ZERO services and have paid $159 for nothing. On top of all this, they automatically sign you up for a month to month service. This company should be banned from business.Business Response

We tried calling this customer, but we were not able to speak to them on the phone. When we tried to arrange a time to call them, they refused. We did communicate with them via email. In our efforts to come to a fair resolution, they continued to be dissatisfied, threatened, and used profanity.
We explained our services and refund policy, which can be found here: ********************************************
Our services include more than just generating forms. Our refund policy states, "we, unfortunately, cannot ***** a refund in cases where a customer has accessed our post-purchase services, including our post-purchase questionnaires." This customer utilized our post-purchase services. They accessed their account, which contains valuable resources and they completed 62% of the questionnaire before requesting a refund.
Although this customer is dissatisfied with the resolution we offered them, we did our best to help them. We do not provide free post-purchase services.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: They are not being truthful in their response. They are embellishing our communication to make it sound like I was not willing to work with them. The truth is I have received NOTHING from them and they have taken $100 now. This service is meant to help people in need, but instead it is designed to take advantage of them. It's pathetic and disgusting that a company like this can do the things they do.

In January I tried to have a mutual divorce written by an online company. ****************************************************************** ************ failed to actually provide a service and I asked for a refund. ****************************************************************** Has said they would issue the refund for over a month now. They cant tell me when or why my refund is held up, but assures me its being reviewed by their refund department. When I call the refund department, they tell me they cant give me any information and then send me a refund agreement saying it was my fault there product sucked and I chose to give them money. They get to decide when and how much money I get back.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because screen shots were provided showing email correspondence to account services. My email account is the account info. Today a partial refund was issued. No services rendered should equal full refund. It was only after this complaint was filed a refund was considered. Its truly a shame this scam artist is allowed to continue to do business.
Sincerely,
