I turned recurring billing off of my Microsoft Office 365 account as another member of the family was able to get a better deal. The day before it was set to expire I received notice that I would be billed. I logged on immediately and turned if off once again. The next day I was billed $100 despite every effort to not be billed. I attempted to reach out to Microsoft several times to get the charges reversed. Apparently the only way to speak to someone is buy having an agent call you through their virtual agent suite. 3 times I requested to be called, 3 times I was provided an estimated call return, and 3 times no one ever called. I tried finding a number to call them to only receive a message to go online and then the line hung up. I don't have a lot of money and due to them collecting funds they shouldn't have I am no incurring over draft fees on my account. I am beyond livid that I can't get assistance.Business Response

I requested a warranty replacement for my Xbox consul, I attempt once online and was charged $329.92 from my debit account in August 23rd 2022. I called Xbox Microsoft support and they had me go through the process 3 more claims with a total of 4 charges of $329.92 total of $1,319.68.I was assured that the other 3 charges of $329.92 will be refunded. Once I've received my repaired consule a a Microsoft representative called me and updated me that one charge of $329.92 had been returned and they will call me back. I didn't hear back and completely forgot to call them back. I checked my bank statement in October 2022 and Microsoft soft took another $329.92 as of October 9th 2022. I called my bank and they discovered that Microsoft never credit me back for my previous 2 charges of $329.92, I asked my bank how they could just charge me without my consent? My bank stated if I had my debit information tied to Microsoft, then Microsoft took it without consent. I've contact Microsoft since I found my investigation multiple times, was given a reference number ********** and they are deflecting and not refunding me money back. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, I get put on 40 minutes plus holds and get transferred to the beginning or they hang up on me. Microsoft still owes me the amount of $989.76 usd.Business Response

Microsoft still had a pending order ready to charge my debit card and these refuse to cancel the order that is preventing me to remove my debit card. I did authorize Microsoft to start, charge or request a warrant repair. Microsoft is holding me hostage, they are taking upon themselves to just bill for things I didn't request and are refusing to remove my debit card information since August 2022.Business Response

Purchased controller on July 23, 2022 for USD ***** through the official Microsoft store. Order Number: ********** The "A" button on the controller double presses, which is a hardware fault of the controller. This is most noticeable in games that have double jump, as one press of the button will cause the second jump to immediately be consumed.I tried to use the warranty to get a controller replacement a couple weeks ago, but the website kept saying "service unavailable". I tried to go in and do it again, but now it says the warranty is expired by 2 days...There were no options that I could find on their website for contacting Microsoft about this issue. Only useless self-help articles and redirect loops.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I found that the issue comes from them using conductive rubber for the face buttons. This causes the double input on all face buttons unless you press the button harder and faster. Of course, pressing them harder and faster will lead to the rubber ripping eventually. This will happen outside of the warranty though, of course. Even though it probably costs them pennies to make/buy the rubber, it will cost $30+ to have the controller "repaired" outside of warranty for something this simple, with most people throwing away the controllers and getting new ones instead. Adding to the landfills everywhere.
I don't need a replacement anymore, as it won't do any good. It's just cheap hardware at a premium price.
Sincerely,

On January 30th, 2022 I purchase a Microsoft "Xbox One Wireless Controller - Elite Series 2" from Target for $139.99 (****** after tax). This controller comes with a 1 year warranty which covers the product functioning normally given normal usage. This controller had a malfunction in which the right bumper (RB) sends 2 signals (double click) when only pressed once. On 9/28/2022 I initiated a service request and sent the controller in. On 10/12/2022 the controller was returned to me. The controller had not been serviced and the issue remained and had not been resolved. I tried contacting Microsoft to send it in again and they do not allow me to initiate a service request and do not allow me to even call regarding the issue. Their process had ruled the issue resolved despite nothing being done. My controller does not work, and they are failing to uphold the warranty.Business Response

Microsoft has double billed us for $99.99. The Sept. 1,2022 billing reads: Microsoft*Microsoft36RedmondWA. The October 14 billing reads: Microsoft*Microsoft36MSBILL.INFOWA I would guess these are from separate offices.I can find no way to contact Microsoft without spending money to request correction of this second bill for the same $99.99. HELP, please. I've spent several days trying to get this accomplished without successBusiness Response

For 2 days I have tried desperately to get an answer from a person or even a live chat agent. Microsoft sends you to a website that does not allow you to speak to a live chat agent. It only gives you information on frequently asked questions. My question is not frequently asked question and I would like help from someone at Microsoft . It appears now that they've gotten my money, they don't care if I have a problem.Business Response

A few days ago I attempted to log into my Microsoft account, only to discover that it had been locked for no reason. This is a serious problem for me as I need to access my outlook emails. I have attempted to contact Microsoft support directly without any success. They simply informed me my account has been locked permanently, and refused to explain the reason it was locked. This is extremely poor business practice from a company as big as Microsoft. I expect better. I would not be surprised if they have done this to others as well. If so, I hate to think what information they have lost because of it. Imagine if they locked someone's account that received medical information they needed. Absolutely unacceptable from Microsoft. I hope that by submitting this complaint that I can get my account back. I would hope that Microsoft understands it was a mistake, and takes responsibility for the mistake.Business Response
