      This is absolutely the worst garbage/recycling company in ********* **! We obtained this company back in September of 2023 for service. The first week went fine, after that the next 3 weeks was a complete mess. Our garbage was not picked up. The driver apparently took a picture of our home stating that our garbage was not out at the curb but it was the wrong house. We are now still fighting to get the full refund of $377.20 (paid for the year in full) sent back to my debit card. We have tried to give Casella the new debit card number but they said they couldn't take it and a check would be sent out with in the week. It has now been a week so we called back and were told now it will take 4 to 6 weeks to receive a check. My husband has spent an hour on the phone being put on hold and talking to so many didn't people, all we want is our refund. Casella came on Nov. 6 to get their totes.

      They have left one of their large blue containers across the street from me in a parking lot overflowing with trash and garbage fir weeks. It is a major health hazard at this point. But neither their ******* ***** location nor their corporate HQ will do anything about it. Upon checking health hazard laws in the **************, i believe they are in violation of the law.

      I signed up for curbside service on Tuesday, 9/5/23. They didnt drop off the bins until Friday 9/22/23- said it was too inconvenient to drop them off earlier because it takes people off their regular route. Okay, just glad we got them. Moving on, I put our bins out on Thursday 9/28 for a Friday 9/28 pickup. We went out of town Friday 9/29 and got home tonight- 10/6/23 and the bins I put out on 9/28 are still sitting outside, full. So, despite having paid for service over a month ago, we have yet to have anything picked up. No notice- email, call, etc, as to why. I am SO disappointed and regret signing up with Casella.

      Terrible company - raised their prices much higher than all the competition - they have a restrictive, punitive contract which is like trying to get out of a timeshare. I have to wait ten months while they stab me with pricing that is triple their competition. Their drivers leave our fence open all the time. They have broken the mechanism so it's easier for them to open. I give them a one-star rating because there's nothing lower.

      They continue to skip at least one week a month and charge the entire route full price. They have been stealing from residents for almost two years. And refuse to even pick up garbages after being such an awful company. The town Or hopefully bbb, can hold them accountable.

      I have been bringing my household garbage to Casellas waste yard facility in Westbrook for years. The people in scale house we're always nice. The older lady up by the dumpsters who watched the yard was very nice as well. In the past year they put new people in there. The guy in the scale house never smiles like he hates the world. I can't even get a smile out of him when I tell him *** **** *** ******** ***** ******* credit card transactions. I had an experience there last week that makes me not want to ever go back there. One of the dumpsters in the yard is for metal recycling. Sometimes you will see stuff left on the pavement in front of the dumpster like little kids bikes and things that people might want to take second hand. You know the old saying someone else's trash is someone else's treasure. Lol Anyways I picked up a Troy-Bilt snowblower that was in great condition. It was left on the pavement in front of the dumpster. I picked it up for my disabled friend that has cerebral palsy. I have a snow plow on my truck. All I did was put gas and oil in it and it ran great. So on the following week I go to the dump yard and I'm talking to the yard attendant. Mr ****** from the scale house calls up on the radio. If the guy with a **** ***** **** pickup truck tries to take anything tell him he's not allowed because of liability reasons. We live in a sue happy world. I thought that was pretty bold of him to do that in front of me. I heard every word he said on that radio and it pissed me off. Meanwhile the guy that attends the yard told me it sat there for a week. You don't even want to know what I think of Mr ****** in the scale house. I am so ****** off with this place I don't want to return ever again. ** *** ** ********* *** **** ** **** *** *** ******** ***** **** **** ** ***** *** ** ** *** ***** ******

      We recently dropped Casella due to the ever increasing prices. When we discontinued the service we paid our bill. We then got another bill notification that we owe $47 for the month of September. A call was made asking about this charge. They said we were paying for the month of September. They were informed you picked up only one day which was September 1st. They were told we would pay the one day pick up but not a whole month. They said in their notes that a charge would be coming for the month of September service and that we were notified of this. They were informed that this is a lie and the only two things discussed were if we lower the price would you stay and what day the bins were to be placed by the road for return. The phone call was placed on hold for a bit then disconnected. Casella as a company/employees have integrity issues and bad business ethics. Highly recommend not using this service for your waste needs.

      My kids and I were sitting out front patiently waiting for the recycling truck so they could wave to the driver. The driver - *** - waved back, stopped to beep the horn, then got out and gave them treats for the dogs! They were so excited! We are not even customers of GFL or Casella. This was a random act of kindness that made my kids day. Wanted to say thank you!!

      I called them to inquire about pricing. Never heard back until I got a call at 6:30 am telling me a dumpster was being dropped off. I asked the driver who he was with as I had contacted someone else and set up a delivery and he said yeah, I guess. This is a criminal company forcing their services on people who simply called to ask questions. After many frustrating phone calls, I still get a bill for 40% more than what the other company had quoted! There needs to be action against Casella!

      This company should get a zero star. We've been a customer for years before ********************** took over and have no issues with our bill. I changed my account and add the new one before the scheduled auto pay, which falls on Saturday. I called Monday just to check if the payment went thru and they said yes it did. I put the new account in case something change, and they usually email me ahead of time when my bill is ready to pay. But, I was surprised that after more than a week I received a bill from the mail which cost me another $42.17 a total of $184.84 for returned check and late fees. $42.17 for returned check and late fees is too much for being a good customer for years, and this only happens once. I tried to asked them if they can removed that extra charge since it wasn't our fault, thinking they will considerate, but to no avail. Now, they lost 2 customers, mine and our daughters house too. Thank you Casella for being greed!!!
