      0 out of 10 would not recommend Vivint. They bring in out of town salesman who over promise and under deliver. We were not super thrilled with ADT at the time so we thought we would at least try it ... terrible idea. For starters they wanted to come out and install that same day (dinner time) but when it was time to come get their equipment they were no where to be found. The system didn't pair well with our phones and a tech was sent out to try and help. He said "maybe you need to change to IPHONE, we never have problems with Iphones." The work around was to set the system on deter mode 24/7, to which then we received notifications 4 times EVERY MINUTE. And we could not make it stop. We called to cancel the trial and my husband spent an hour on the phone trying to get them to understand that we just didn't want it. So they finally set up an appointment to uninstall, to which they just didnt show but they were quick to cut off our access to the app so we were left with 0 security system.... 2nd appointment to uninstall still no show! On the 3rd appointment they were "running late", even though we were told we were the 1st appointment of the day. The manager confessed that the out of state salesmen are terrible and once the tech did arrive he said this was his last week working for such a terrible company. And because all of that isn't enough they damaged our ADT equipment and we are still trying to get that sorted out. You're better off with literally any other company!

      I have been a subscriber to Vivint for over 11 years, purchased through Best Buy on *************, **. Though happy with the functionality, I cannot get a service technician after many horrible customer service experiences with long wait times, multuple transfers from department to department, many unfulfilled promises of call backs with a resolution. I am seeking an upgrade to their panel, a camera replacement, and additional cameras to be installed and even though that would generate revenue for Vivint, they fail to provide a technician. Since their system is proprietary. I can't add cameras myself that work with their app. This is a horribly ran company with a good product that they can't support, leaving me trapped with an outdated panel and no ability to add features. I have been told that they will call me when they can provide a technician in my area ( *****). I have been promised this many times and they never call. It's been over a year and watch time I call its at least 45 minutes on the phone. I did have a technician scheduled one time over a year ago, that we waited for, and planned our day around only for him to not show up. Dealing with this company is like entering into the Twilight Zone.

      Salesman don't know how to read a "no solicitors" sign on the door and proceeded to knock on our door until we opened. We showed the group of gentleman the sign and told them to go away.

      If I could give them 0 stars I would but I can't so I am giving one star. I have been a customer with ********************** since 2019. We loved the service at first but tried to lower our bill back in March of 2025 and were told 3 separate times that the bill was lowered but were still paying the same amount. We were bamboozled into lowering our bill by extending our contract without knowing what that actually meant. When our equipment stopped working we were told we would have to pay $99 to have someone come look at it but we pay monthly for the the protection plan which includes having tech support come to the house. When we tried to cancel, the customer service agent told us he would waive the entire cancellation fee and then only waived half of the fee. All of our phone calls were on recorded lines but when we asked about the purpose of the recorded lines a Vivint supervisor named ****** told us that the recorded lines are to go back in case something was promised to a customer so they could fulfill the promise but in our case he had to refer to our contract. Vivint has the world's worst customer service and they are shady. If you are considering getting a Vivint system DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!

      This has been a nightmare of a company to work with, from faulty equipment to customer service agents who dont have anything but their own self interest in mind. I was denied access to cancel even though my equipment is paid off, and I didnt pay for any activation, installation or equipment set up fees, my contract only states that I will pay for the monthly monitoring service.When activating my account, I was told by the customer services agent that in order to switch my plan to a month-to-month contract and cancel whenever Id like to, I would have to pay an upfront charge in addition to the monthly service fee, to avoid having to pay the remaining 50% of my contract upon cancelling. My first month under contract, I was charged this $106.18 fee IN ADDITION to my monthly service charge. Ive come to find out that was a lie. Despite the agent confirming with me that I can cancel at anytime over the phone and stating that he would send a revised contract stating so, he continued to resend me the same 24 month contract while proceeding to charge the fee of $106.18. Not to mention each call is recorded so Im sure it wouldnt be an issue verifying the misinformation I was given over the phone. Im done with this company and the process to cancel has been nothing less than a headache. If I could give 0 stars I would, unfortunately 1 star is too high of a rating for the experience Ive had.

      I called to cancel my service account about 6 weeks ago because it was $60 a month. To much. I talked to an agent named ****. He agreed. He told me about a upgrade on a new system with a video door bell, three window sensors & a combination ************* dioxide alarm. He said it would be $40 a month for about 60 months & then $20 a month afterward. I argeed to it & set up an installation appointment. About two weeks later, **** called & left a message to say the installation appointment had been canceled. He said he would call back that afternoon or the next day to make a new appointment. He didn't call back. So, I called back & talked to a different agent. He made me go through the whole thing again, having my credit checked & telling me about the system. He told me it would cost $59.25 for 60 months & then $35.50 afterward. About $20 more a month then **** told me. I was canceling my service account because it was $60 a month. So why would I agree to this? I had a call from my sister & had to take it. We got disconnected. I ended up canceling my whole account Friday July 18th. I then kept getting text messages that a technician would be at my house Friday July 25th to put the system in. Why would he be coming when I canceled my account? I finally got the appointment canceled though a chat with a agent. I had called and was told by an agent they had canceled ******, yesterday I received an email from Vivint confirming I had entered into a contact extension per a telephone conversation yesterday. It was for 60 months & would cost $58.49 a month. I didn't even call Vivint yesterday. So I called Vivint and spoke to Tryra. She was very nice & knew what she was doing. She told me **** had put in the contract extension when I didn't even talk to him. She told me it was unethical. She canceled the contract extension & said she put in a customer complaint against ****. She confirmed my account had been canceled. Don't use Vivint. *******

      Complete bait and switch. Came to turn on my system that was already installed on the house, started upcharging me the minute they got here. Then tried to tell me I either had to spend 600 dollars on a new panel or commit to a 5 year contract. This after spending hours installing equipment, equipment I might add that I did not want. I'm shocked this company is allowed to do business this way. Absolutely terrible! Do not use!

      My mother is 90 years old and a security system was installed by one of your salesman *** on 6/10/2025. I am here POA and have been calling your company speaking to supervisor after supervisor and no one has been able to help me because on a verbal code on the account that apparently was mailed out twice and near was received no seems to think the severity of the account cameras were placed in her bedroom and all over her home. She never gave no one authority to have these placed and she is the owner to her home. I called and someone had given all her personal information on the account. I have spent hours and hours on the phone. This is company is the worst company with no professional etiquette nor concerns of the severity of the fraudulent and invasion of privacy. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

      The harassment from the door to door salespeople is ridiculous. If I didnt answer the door 30 minutes ago do not come knocking again. Constantly almost every day of the week I have a salesperson from this company solicit business on my property when I have made it clear I am not interested. Extremely frustrating

      Horrifically long wait times for techs, just for them to cancel on you. Zero compensations. Leave you hanging with no protection or response with their monitoring system. No one even calls you if alarms get tripped. What the h*** are they monitoring for? Techs cancel on the day of their appointment. Whole business model is just to grab money.
