1 starIf I could give this a zero star I would. The system is trash. It skips anytime you want to see your cameras, it's blurry, can't zoom in and get a quality picture, system goes down ALL THE TIME, carbon monoxide detector beeps constantly since the second month I've had it so I had to remove it, it doesn't notify me sometimes when someone is at my front door, rewinding makes the app crash, and you are stuck in this long contract even if it's a faulty system. I have ****** fiber Internet, so it's definitely not my Internet. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET A NEST DOORBELL. ITS CHEAPER, 10X THE QUALITY, AND YOU AREN'T STUCK IN AN EXTREMELY LONG CONTRACT WITHOUT HAVING TO FORK OUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. Vivint is a scam.Review fromCatrina F

Havent used my system in months they refuse to take it back, they also take money from my account without my permission every month I have to call them to refund my money. 1 starWe had a Vivint smart home system. For the 4 years and 3 months that we had it, it was wonderful. No real complaints. However, when we sold our home, we called Vivint to cancel. Vivint then proceeded to walk us through a 2-hour phone call where we needed to provide proof that we had paid off our equipment. We provided that proof, they contacted citizens pay, which is who we had our equipment finance through, and they got an answer directly from them that we had paid everything off. After that, they proceeded to transfer us from one person to another for the rest of the 2 hours. Each time they would tell us that they were forwarding us to the cancellation team, but each time after they would ask all of our information, they would tell us they needed to transfer us to the cancellation team. We told them time, and time again, that we had sold the home, we had no need for security system since we were traveling the **, ****** and ****** in an RV, the new owners do not want their service, and that we absolutely do not want, nor will ever want their service again. Over and over again, we were transferred to another person where we would have to share all of that information all over again. Each time they would ask us the same questions. For the last 10 representatives we already knew what they were going to ask, and gave them all the answers they needed in advance, to the point that they would thank us for providing all the information they were already going to ask, but unfortunately they were going to have to transfer us to the cancellation team. Finally, at the end of the 2 hours, we got to someone who asked us if we wanted written or verbal confirmation of cancellation. We just said we wanted cancellation. They then confirmed our account email, and then send an email stating that we would have to respond with all the same answers in writing to actually cancel. We responded in writing that we wanted to cancel with all of the information they requested. No response.Review fromVeronika R

1 starWorst company I have ever dealt with. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years and I spend with these people hours on the phone. They are horrible company they lie to you and they keep charging you for things you didnt sign up for. Please find another company.Review fromMax M

1 starThis company has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The installers left a hole in the wall, trash out, and disabled the back doorbell that I left as the pre-existing one. I have been waiting a month now for them to uninstall and when I call them, they are only concerned with keeping me instead of listening to what I want and removing the items. The last time I called, they literally said "don't call back." DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Review fromSybil H

1 starFirst this company told me that my monthly fee would not increase, which was not true. I have had the system for 5 years, which was my contract, and my monthly rate increased from *****/months to over $27/month. Then when I was finally able to cancel my account after my contract was over, I got the run-around for 3 months, before Finally being able to get my account cancelled. They ended up billing me nearly $90 more than they should have because they never completed the cancellatio. I spent hours on the phone, having the same conversation with 6 different salespeople, (because the initial person was never the person who could help me) either telling me I needed to give 30 days notice, or hanging up just prior to providing the cancellation, or them telling me they would just give me a 30 day free period. It was horrible. This company uses scammy sales practices, doesnt follow through and will bill you for their incompetence. I would hate to see them continue to be able to take advantage of other unsuspecting customers.Review fromKristina W

1 starFrom day one, we have had horrible customer service, months of frustration trying to just pay the bill (they require very difficult hoops to jump through just to establish or edit an account), get the mobile app to work, and canceling. We paid $4000 to pay off the equipment just to have the take over an hour to tell us we owe and additional $500 before they will allow cancelation of the monthly service. We've worked over a year to pay the $4k so I asked for the service to be canceled despite any extra equipment they SAY we have even though it is not on our contract! This will be a ding on my credit now bc I'm not paying any more to this scam.Review fromTerese R

1 starAn employee from Vivint was somewhat pushy to accept the Vivint Smart Alarm system. It worked well for a short time. However, the security cameras were lagging, and they shut down a few times unexpectedly. It was not exactly Deaf friendly equipment. The Vivint did provide a few small equipment with no cost to alert us but they didnt work at all. We had to get more lamps connected with the equipments, they were not very effective. Too much hassle to reset or fix it again and again. We gave up and let it go. What I didnt know that I would end up paying over 4000 dollars for equipments - unexpected hidden fees.. I was stuck with this debt that I didnt want. I felt that the Vivint employee was deceptive about the contract. The security alarm system was somewhat wonky and they needed to be fixed. The employee came and fixed but we kept having the same problem and we followed the instruction to fix over the phone but the problem came back again. I requested a Vivint employee to come in person and was told that they would charge me for the services. I was surprised bec there was no warning about that. I was told that I could request one for free. ****** dollars fee for each time we need service.. what a rip off when their frigging equipments are not working right. One of former Vivint employee convinced me to connect with a solar company, which I did. Shortly after that, the solar company did not come through and sold to another company. I decided not to move ahead with the contact. However, I ended up having seven (7) identity thefts unexpectedly after the Vivint employee connected to the solar company. It caused unnecessary stress for me to deal with the fraud and identity thefts. If the former Vivint employee didnt push me to connect with the solar company, ID theft would not happen. The Vivint alarm system is definitely not deaf and disability friendly so it is not recommended.Review fromLORRIE S

1 starI HAVE HAD THE ACCOUNT FREE FROM FREEDOM MY ******************* THAT INSTALLED MY SOLAR. MY FREE TRIAL IS UP. I HAVE TRIED 4 TIMES TO CANCEL THIS ACCOUNT AS I AM NOT PAYING FOR IT. NOW IT IS OVER 35 MINS AND 4 DIFFERENT PEOPLE WHO NOW SAY I AM RUDE. I TOLD THEM RIGHT OFF I WANTED TO CANCEL SERVICE. THEN OH WE CAN OFFER IT FOR $35.00 A MONTH. NO !! I WANT IT CANCEL. WE CAN OVER IT FOR $10.00 A MONTH. NOW I AM MAD AND BECAUSE I HAVE NOW CUSSED AT THEMBECAUSE THE DON'T'S SEEM TO UNDERSTAND WHAT CANCEL MY ACCOUNT IS!!! I AM RUDE. 1 starPoor Service/Cancellation is hard/Did not follow through with what was said. I asked for a quote initially so I can speak with my family first but the seller did not understand what I wanted and tricked me into signing the contract. When I finally realized that I signed for it, they told me that I have 3 business trial to cancel. So I just followed through, and when I finally discussed it with my family, we decided to cancel it. The next day, when I called customer service to cancel, they just told me to try it out and call on the 2nd day to cancel because it was only 12 hrs since installation. I also spoke with the seller, and they said that one of the tech in their office would cancel it anyways. I sent the seller my cancellation form on the 3rd business day before midnight, and the seller told me that they will have it removed. I kept asking for updates, no replies, when I called customer serves again, they told me that I didn't send a cancellation request through their email, and my trial ended so I would have to pay the full equipment and half the service. I wasn't told that I would have to send it through a certain email. The seller also told me to talk to him if I wanted to cancel, and I thought he would take care of it, but he hasn't in the past week. I trusted them to follow through, but they kept delaying the cancellation, and when asking for help, the team would not fully help, it keeps going around and around.
