      For one month I e tried to cancel my service! They only wanted to upgrade me or replace my sensors!! I hav3 talked to prob 10 different npeople from the *********** to ****!! They wanted to put in new equipment as I was told its outdated. I had there service for 11 years, first 10 were OK but the last year sucked!! They wouldn't cancel the service so I changed my debit card so I couldn't be billed!! Awful company to deal with.. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone!!

      Basically everything everyone else is posting on their reviews is what I am going through with Vivint. They lied at the door about no fees for the equipment. Then signed a contract only to find out after the billing that I have two separate charges. One for the service and one for the equipment through a different company name. I cancelled it only to find out that I will still have to pay for the equipment even if I don't use the service. So, I had to keep it until the equipment was paid for. Then tried to cancel again and they have been running me around for months! This company is terrible!!

      Recently cancelled my service with vivint, I was told there was a cancellation process, and it would take 30 days. I told them so you are going to charge me for another 30 days even though I'm cancelling today. This company is horrible. Buyer beware!!! I would give them 0 stars if I could.

      The installers gave me a quote for the monthly monitoring fee, which was half of what it actually cost.They also told me there was no contract involved, which was a lie.I have a thirty six month contract and to get out of ***** will cost me a lot of money, hundreds of dollars. They are deceitful stay away from them.

      Vivint would not let me cancel and pay the fee to cancel my contract. They denied my request to cancel despite having followed all the instructions and rules and called to follow up for two months. They would keep reading through 5 minute sale pitches and giving me the run around. I would stay on the phone for 2-3hrs each phone call to be told everything was being handled and still receive a denial email to cancel. This went on from Sept 29, 2025 until the end of my contract Dec 6th. They gave me the run around until the end of the contract instead of letting me cancel. They have the worst customer service ever. They are crooked and scammers. I will never recommend Vivint to anyone!

      Im writing this review to share my experience with Vivint. I decided to cancel my service because I felt undervalued as a customer. On multiple calls, I felt like I didnt know what I was talking about and that my concerns were a burden to their team. I also believe I was being overcharged for the product and services I received, Ive found comparable options with better equipment, better support, and shorter contract terms.While the concept of smart home security is appealing, the customer service and value offered by ********************** in my situation fell short. If youre considering Vivint, Id suggest reading the fine print, asking detailed questions, and comparing competitors. Based on my experience, I wont be recommending this company. ****** A

      I would not recommend signing any kind of contractual agreement either verbally or digitally with this company. They make it a herculean task to cancel your service. They use predatory and dubious sales tactics such as confirming verbally on the phone that your contract does not include an kind of termination fees/costs/ etc. I explicitly asked and in multiple ways, then when I call a year later to cancel and am told there are early cancellation fees associated with cancelling, when I asked them to review the recording of my phone call with thier representative to confirm that I was told otherwise during the verbal agreement, I was told they would have to escalate it and couldn't find this information without me providing the name of the representative that I spoke with. Although they had documentation of me speaking to the representative. This companies services is one thing that I would say is ok at best at the states, but will continually get worse the longer you are with them as they will try to upcharge/upgrade you continuously all while waiting for you to cancel to make it almost illegally difficult to cancel the service and extract as much money as possible during the cancellation process. Of all the security monitoring companies, I would avoid this one as much as possible. DO NOT let any one transfer thier service to you and DO NOT transfer your service to anyone you like, love, or care about. They will suffer the consequences.

      Vivint has harassed me continuously about service upgrades and now refuses to cancel my account. I dont advise anyone to ever use this home security system. 15 years of service doesnt mean a thing to these people. Never again!!!

      Door to door ******** did NOT disclose that I was applying for a REVOLVING line of credit as opposed to a loan. My credit score when down by 40 points in one day. I paid off $3,000 to lower my credit utilization and regain lost points.

      When you try to cancel the service, you are held hostage for 40 minutes or more on hold while they try to sell you on staying. Even when you tell them "no, I just want to cancel," they keep trying to sell you and ask if you can just let them talk. Then you are placed on hold for a while, wondering whether you are still really connected to them on the phone while the cancellation is processed. This is aggressive behavior and should be stopped.
