1 starA Sales person came to my door a sold pest control service and failed to mention the details of the cancellation policy. I signed up for the service not knowing I was locked into an annual contract, this is an issue because my wife did not want the survey due to concerns she has. I have been given the run around for something as simple as cancelling an appointment and I have been told that only a manager can do that task. They are operating a very shady business practice in regards to the salespeople not being as descriptive as they need to be about the cancelation policy.Review fromDebra S

1 starKind of a pushy sales pitch. Didn't want to give me a chance to verify my facts. Sold me a "deal" to be less than my current service. Promised me they would be cheaper and do a better job. He gave me$70 via Venmo to make sure I was getting a decent price, fair and superior service. It is not cheaper, more expensive for less coverage. We are in a basic service plan. Come to find out, it does not cover my yard where the grands are playing. We now have a tick problem that is specifically our yard. Have the basic service plan does not cover ticks in my yard, only my house. I have signed an 18 month contract that I cannot get out of. My probationary period is expired after only two treatments. If I cancel anyway, I owe them 50% of the remaining balance, so that's 50% of 7 more treatments at over a hundred dolllars a treatment. If I want more coverage, that will cost me more money. The other thing wrong, is our service rep was rude to my family member when she discussed it with him. He never told her that our coverage did not cover what she was reporting to be a problem and he was rather rude and condescending to her. I am not happy with this company. I am not happy about their customer **********************, their high pressure door to door sales tactics. And I have a no solicting sign on my front door that he did see, during our conversation. He asked me not to kick him off of my porch and I was stupid enough not to. Otherwise, never would have gotten myself into this mess and a contract that I no longer wish to have. Now I will have to spray my yard myself or pay another service company to come out and cover the things Saela will not. All of my information about them comes from an office in ****. Just beware, do not talk to them or let them con you into a service that does not do what is sold to you at the time. Their salesman is good at what he does, rather "slick", "fast talking", "selling you something you don't see coming" kind of guy.Review fromLilli B

1 starOur neighborhood has a clear no soliciting rule and your young snotty salesman broke it and LIED! I work nights and he rang my doorbell TWICE after standing on my porch for several minutes, waking me up. My three dogs were barking at him to leave. When I finally opened the door to tell him theres no soliciting, he preceded to lie and say he got permission from the office (which he absolutely did not) and kept talking about the product after I told him to get off my porch and off my property, hes trespassing! Then he became very rude and irate, as if I did something wrong. Utterly unacceptable! His name was ******!Review fromJaswinder S

1 starComplete crooks!I was conned by their sales guy into signing a full year contract. He told me to sign to give permission to the guy to spray the house for ants. I gave him $50. Next thing I know I'm in contract which Saela for one year! Unbelievable!Then there is no call back from them when you call them. Told them to stop sending people to my house on their call center number and still the guys came and did something at my house while my kids were there, without letting me know despite all the messages that I left them on a recorded line.Asking for a law suit here. 1 starCompany lied and had a door to door sales man tell my husband there was no contract. Locked us in the contract and never services us! After asking for our money back that had been taken from our bank account the ********************** charged us to cancel.Review fromKm M

1 starI hired them for a crawl space clean out and rodent control service. I met with ***** the week prior who identified the issue. The day of the project, they sent two gentleman out for the crawl space work who did not speak English and Saela did not clearly communicate what exactly needed to be done. The men showed up 30 minutes late and performed the work on the wrong portion of the crawl space. Through ****** translate it was identified that they were unaware of what needed to be done and stated they could not complete the work I had hired them for. I called ***** as he was supposed to be managing the project who claimed he was unavailable to come to my house because he was getting a root canal but would call and sort out what need to be done. Ultimately it was communicated what actually needed to be done and the job was completed. However it took twice as long as it should have and when they left they werent able to communicate if they had actually finished the work. As a result, Saela sent out their service manager the following day to assure the work was done correctly and to finish clean up. He showed up and confirmed the job was done, however he dropped his shop vac in my entryway spilling rodent droppings throughout my house. He initially asked me if he could use my broom to clean the mess but then went to his truck and found a broom. I stepped outside while he finished the job. Upon coming back inside I found he had spilled yet another pile of mice/rat droppings in my kitchen and hallway to the crawlspace that was not cleaned up before he left. I then spent two hours cleaning rodent droppings up that were brought INTO my home by the service manager. Once I was called back by a branch manger, he said there was no way to refund my services and stated all he could do was offer an apology or discount future services. I understand human error happens, but there was a total lack of accountability not to mention cleanliness in dealing with this company!Saela Pest Control

1 starWe called and asked if we could cancel their service at any time. After coming the first time we did not like their services so called to cancel. They came back a second time, after we told them not to come and that we wanted to cancel any additional services, and sprayed around the outside of our home. They then charged us for the second service and for a cancelation fee. Both of which we should not have been charged. A one star is the lowest that you can review but I would rate them lower if possible. Horrible company, do not use them. They will lie to you for your business.Review fromKathleen G

1 starTERRIBLE!! If I could give 0 stars I would. I USED TO like saela. I've used their services for 3 years now. Their product is safe around pets. The people who actually come to your house and do the treatments are amazing. Knowledgeable, kind, efficient. On another note, I've had MULTIPLE experiences that weren't so pleasant. Communication is horrible!!! The call center is the worst! Ineffective scheduling leading to a waste of time, and inconsiderate requests of my availability. As well as price increases without notification. I did receive communication from headquarters once but the manager really didn't care, he just wanted to up-sell me on services. Today, May 29th, yet another in a long line of examples as to why their scheduling and customer are far below sub par. I was supposed to have a service completed at my home, no time window was given so I called to inquire. The next appointment for my home isn't scheduled for over a week, on the wrong day of the week, I might add. After I scheduled with one of their technicians over the phone on Saturday. I'm SO over their unprofessional ways of conducting business. I'm done with their disrespect of my time. I will finding an alternative pest control company.Review fromLanneth M

1 starSaela and Hawx have predatory labor practices. They rely on other young adults to recruit their naive friends in college. In doing so lots of lies are told. "I made $64,000 selling door to door last year." Which is pretty much a lie. They expect salespeople to work without a base salary, relocate to new states where they are expected to work 11 hours each day, 6 days a week and pay for their own food. If the young adult quits early (before 3 weeks), they are required to pay $2000 for their stay. That's is just ridiculous and a scam. A $900 contract sold after several days of rejection only represents about $50 in the pocket of the salesperson and to be paid several weeks later. This is slavery in 2024 folks! These companies don't even deserve a star! If you are looking to work for any of these companies or be serviced by any of these companies, please stay away! Thank me later.Saela Pest Control

1 starExactly as mentioned here - very aggressive pushy sales person today (college kid) - kept pitching it even though I said I would not make any decisions till I researched all options; kept lowering the initial amount I need to pay because I have dogs and because I have the US flag outside (such blatant con artists) - then threw in my neighbors names (I wonder if the Tarun who had the bad review here is the same Tarun he mentioned) but he never says if they have contracts with Saela - in fact he never mentioned a contract at all. Then he said that he would come back in a few hours so I can do my research and that really ****** me off. "When I tell you I am not deciding today then you respect my decision and leave". I need to put a strong No soliciting sign out and if it happens then I will call the cops on them. The initial deposit went down from $399 to $249 and the charges every alternate month was $189 - it felt like a complete rip off and I am glad I came here to read the reviews.Saela Pest Control
