1 starMy husband had them come out in July for a one time service. They showed up at my door last week and told ,me they were here for to check for pests. I said no we have used Cascade for at least a decade and I know we have not changed that. He asked me if I wanted him to check for pests just in case my husband had signed with them. Unfortunately I could not check with my husband as sadly he passed unexpectedly in October. But, I was sure we had decided to keep *******. I asked him to call his manager and he said he could not, but the manager could call me. Big mistake giving him my phone number. So, Saela called me and I said I would need to see the contract. The salesman sent me a PDF of a contract that my husband had never signed-yes, there was no signature although typed below was a note from someone from the company saying my husband had signed the contract. I said over and over there is No signature on this contract. Then the salesman asked me who we had been using and I told him. He asked me how much we were paying and I said I did not know, but we have used the same company for over a decade. Then he said he would give me a coupon for 30% off. I said, look, my husband did not sign this contract and I need to talk with a manager. He kept trying to talk to me. I finally said, my husband has just passed away and I am dealing with so much more right now, please send me to a manager. I had to repeat myself several times. Finally he put me on hold and that is when I realized that this was a totally unethical business practice and I hung up. Today I looked at the credit card and this company actually charged the card and then sent me an email saying they had us scheduled for a service. Cascade came yesterday.the same young man that had just talked to my husband three months ago and told me to research the company as they were under investigation, I am reporting this to BBB and will dispute the Credit card charges. Anything else I can do?Review fromJohn & Crystal T

1 starThis company came out on 10/14/25 upon us calling due to seeing a mouse in the house. They came out to do an inspection, they checked the basement, main-level and attic. They then let us know that we needed to seal our house again to prevent more mice from coming in. We had this company out to seal our house in ********* right as they were changing over from Edge Pest Control. So we ended up paying them $499 to "re-seal" our basement. They then proceeded to tell us that they saw 4 areas of burrowing and that we have a mouse infestation in our attic, with that they needed to mitigate to get the infestation and cleaned out. They then said it would be $11,000 to complete the mitigation which involved them removing all the insulation, sealing the attic and re-insulating with treated insulation. We decided to get a second opinion due to the high cost of the mitigation, with 2nd inspection we were told that there was not an infestation and no signs of a mouse problem in our attic. We caught 2 mice in our main level within the first week of Saela's 1st visit, we cleaned up all droppings from those mice and have not seen any new evidence of mice remaining in our house as in no new droppings or traps being tampered with. We even cleaned out our crawl space in the basement that we use for storage, figuring we would disturb any activity down there and see more mice within the house. NONE. Saela sent out a manager 2 weeks after the first visit and he again tried to sell us on the Attic mitigation but would lower the cost to $3500 he then said that he did see 2 borrowing areas in the attic and he also saw 3 mice when he was up there. We have traps all over and non of them have been touched or tripped. It has been over a month since we caught the 2 mice. This company tried to scam us out of $11,000. After all of this we decided to cancel our services with them before any other work was done and they ended up charging our Card for $639.96 without authorization for cancelling.Review fromBerel P

1 starThey will try to keep you stuck with them even when your contract ends! They have been incredibly difficult to reach over the phone and when I emailed them about not renewing, the following is what I received in response and they are then incredibly difficult to get through to: (I had to remove the phone number so that this review will post)Hello,As a reminder, on the first page of the agreement you signed, under the Auto-Renewal- Cancellation Policy section, we specify that after you fulfilled the minimum of services required, Regular services will continue on the same frequency with the same Terms and Conditions until you give a verbal confirmation over the phone to one of our account managers if you wish to stop services. We do need to remind you that as per the agreement, we do not process cancellation over chat, email, or text, we do require a verbal conversation over the phone with one of our account managers for cancellation of an account at ---Best *************************** ************* ----************ | Corporate BranchReview fromDixie H

1 staram absolutely furious with Saela Pest Control and their shady business practices. Their door-to-door salesman preyed on my vulnerable elderly mother-in-law, who lives alone and isn't always up to speed on these kinds of high-pressure sales tactics. He showed up uninvited, sweet-talked her into signing up for what he explicitly described as a comprehensive pest control plan that would cover rodents and cockroachesthe exact issues she was dealing with in her home. She's been faithfully paying for this "service" for nearly a year now, thinking her ***** problem was being handled. But today, we discovered the truth: Saela hasn't been treating for the specific type of roaches she has at all! Apparently, their basic plan doesn't cover it, and if she wants actual treatment, it's going to cost her an extra one-time fee plus an ongoing monthly charge on top of what she's already paying. This is blatant deceptionthey misled her into believing the plan she signed for would solve her pest issues, and now they're acting like it's her fault for not reading the fine print. This is not a small misunderstanding. Its a clear case of bait-and-switch.When we confronted them about the sales ***** misleading promises and demanded they fix their mistakemaybe by honoring what was verbally agreed upon or at least offering a refundthey flat-out refused. No accountability, no apologies, just excuses and upselling. It's disgusting how they target seniors like this, exploiting trust to lock people into contracts that don't deliver. Avoid Saela at all costs; there are plenty of honest pest control companies out there that won't pull this kind of scam.I have read numerous other complaints from individuals who get conned into this service, and its happened too many times to count. I have already reached out to one of our news stations investigative departments, I am calling the attorney general consumer protection division in the morning, and potentially legal action. STAY AWAY!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Were truly sorry to hear about your concerns with the service agreement and want to clarify how our contracts work. Our goal is always to be upfront and transparent, and it sounds like we fell short in clearly explaining the details in your case. However, we understand how this could have been confusing if it wasnt explained clearly at the time of sign-up. We never want a customer to feel misled. Your peace of mind is our top priority and we are committed to delivering a world-class experience to all of our customers. We will have someone from the local management team reach out to see how we can take care or you and your mother-in-law, and get her the service she needs. Thank you again for taking the time to provide this valued feedback. Well use your feedback to improve our communication, and customer experience going forward.Review fromRick J

1 starSigned a contract in April, immediately started getting more bugs than we've EVER seen & we've lived here for 6 years. The cancellation process is grueling, as the company seems to want to tell you anything to possibly keep your business, but their product is trash. After our VERY FIRST spray, I genuinely questioned whether or not they were using pheromones instead of repellent. THAT'S HOW MANY BUGS WE HAD IN OUR HOUSE. Do not sign any contract with Saela, their product is garbage & attracted even more bugs into our home, PLUS they have an outrageous cancellation fee which makes you pay the rest of the contract. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they have a terrible product on purpose to get you locked into an 18 month contract. They're only coming for your money, do not trust them.Review fromBrad Y

1 starThe service is fine but the contract they have you sign is very deceptive, youre under contract for 24 months. I called for spraying for spring ants, I signed for that service but got fleas, mosquitoes, and other critters without anyone explaining that I was get all services and for a contract of 24 months that you cant cancel. Youre under contract for a full 24 months. Very deceptive !!!!!!

1 starDo not sign up with them. I would give a zero rating if I could. I am no longer under contract and called to cancel the service.I had to ask the first ****** 5 times to cancel before I asked to talk to a manager. I was then asked for my account number which I did not have as I was walking. When I got home and called back I asked them to cancel and the ****** then started with the whole sales pitch again then said they would have to transfer me to a manger. That ****** again tried to dissuade me and actually said I might end up with rodent issues (ants were the problem). I asked her to cancel and she started to read the script again after my third request to cancel asking her if she could help me as I was the customer she finally agreed. I was put on hold and 10 minutes later was ************** time wasted was and hour and a half including waiting for call back.On a positive note the local ****** they sent out was great as was the local ****** I used to be able to contact.Review fromSusan B

1 starDon't believe their sales people or their service people. They promise - and it sounds good, but they just say what they think you want to hear. They come do a service and claim to cover everything, but they don't and then they leave after only 10 minutes. Don't sign anything or you will be in for a long, expensive contract!Review fromJohn H
