      **** refuses to refund my money they unexpectedly debited from my account on 7/30/2023, even though my year long contract with them expired in June, 2023. I reminded the tech on 6/14/2023 that it was my final service for my contract period, plus I previously spoke with their account manager and office a couple more times during the one year contract, to let them know I did not wish to renew (and also to advise them that they never showed for the scheduled service in May, 2023). I called and spoke with several people in their office today, 8/9/2023, transferred to billing in ****, and then the cancellation crew called me back; but they refuse to refund the (now higher) fee, since I did not call at the end of June to cancel a renewal. Again, I had already told their offices and their tech in person that I was not renewing. They solicited my business in 2017, and I was able to pay them directly after each of the few treatments they completed. When I needed service during the summer of 2022, I contacted them, since they had previously been to my home. They forced me to sign a one year contract. The company is a scam, and I regret the fact that they have my banking info. They are snide and refuse to let you speak with the CEOs/owners, ***************** and ***********************.

      My contract period was already complete, so an early termination fee would not have applied. Your company unexpectedly debited a monthy fee after my contract had already expired, and after I told the account manager at your company on the phone, and in person to the ********* at my home, that I was NOT renewing the contract. You stole the money from me, and I want it credited back to my account. Further, please confirm once you delete my banking account information from your database, so I am certain it will never happen again.

      I have been with Hawx Pest Control for over 1 year. In June of 2023 I was contacted and offered a termite plan by a door to door salesman for $1786.00. Additionally, there would be a $27.00 monthly fee. It was explained to me that the stations would be installed avery 8-10 ft. around teh house and inspected monthly and replaced/repaired if damaged. Firstly, the initial installation was incomplete, one side of my house is complelety without stations. I contacted the tecnician who said he ran out of stations and would schedule someone to come out and finish, that was over a month ago. I called him again and was told it would be handled, still nothing. Today I receied my first billing of $27.00, I called Hawx to see what the charge was for because the install was still incomplete and no one had come out since to do any inspections. After 25 minutes on hold, being disconnected and another 20 minutes on hold, I was told that no termite services are performed monthly, but you still get charged $27.00/month. So almost $1800 for an incomplete install and another $27.00/mo for nothing. I keep calling to cancel my service but after 15-20 minutes on hold, you just get transftered to another department and get put on hold again. This is ridiculous, what am I paying for? There is no option to cancel service on their website, convenient. After reading several of these similar postings, I am convinced that this company preys on the people who do not follow up and challenge their charges.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Firstly, I attempted, once again, to contact your company by the phone number provided in your response and, as like my and so many others experience, cannot get ahold of anyone and spend a considerable amount of time ON HOLD!.

      Secondly, I feel that I have already done my due diligence to contact you and resolve this situation and have spent alot of time on the phone and on hold. This is not how business should be conducted from a service proivider.

      I am finished with Hawx Pest Control. I am requesting a refund of $1786.00 for the incomplete installation of the termite service as well as a  $27.00 refund for the monthly maintenence fee that never happened nor was possible on an incomplete install.

      I am also notifing you to immediately cancel of all other services that you were providing for me as well as any associated billing.

      Companies that I prefer to deal with, in these types of situations, would have attempted to reach out to me directly instead of telling me to call them (only to be on hold for >30 minutes. At the very least, would have provided a direct number to senior management.

      Please no longer come to my residence with exception of teh collection of the termite stations that were installed. I request advanced notification of when this wil occur.

      It is very sad that I, and 1,600+ other complaining individuals, only sucessful way of communicating with you in an effictive manner is through the BBB.

      The outcome is a full refund.

      I still have not received any communication from your manager as indicated in your response.

      Additionally, I tried reaching out to the service technician, Ronnie as well as sent him text messages, NO RESPONSE.

      Come retrieve your bait stations, you can confirm the partial install with the installing technician, Christopher. I contacted him on 6/8 the day after install to see why they were not all installed. Additionally, he drilled a bunch of holes and left several stations out on the ground, I had to push them in the ground myself. He also drilled more holes than he had stations for. I contacted Christopher again on 6/26 and 6/27, please verify this with him, I have the messages to prove it.

      Customers, especially ones who spent $1800+, for your products and services should not have to work this hard to get you to do your job. Every HOA in Texas should educate their constituants on all 1,622 of your complaints prior to entering into any contract with your company. You are living up to every one of the complaints.

      The recent response does not state the resolution requested, it simply states that I will be receiveing a call from a manager. 

      Hawx continues to demonstrate these very non-personal conversations with the same "cut-and-paste" replys where you see the same statement in almost every one of their 1600 complaints...."We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. This is our busiest time of the year. ...". Maybe take the time to write a unique response.

      Additionally, after all of the complaints about your phone center and being on-hold for hours, your response still directs me to your customer service number. You would think that elevated complaints would have the priority of being provided a direct number to someone who can resolve problems. The issue has made it to the BBB because your phone number didn't work.

      I have spoken with Paul, who has agreed to provide a refund and cancel services however, that agreement needs to be acknowledged and documented in this forum.

      The Hawx on ground staff has been great, Paul the manager was very professional however, it is the customer service that is ruining it for this entire company. NO ONE shoud have to go through the level of effort that I, or any of the individuals who have made similar complaints, have made in order to resolve an issue.

      We found Hawx via Angi's list initially to solve an infestation of yellow jackets on our property. Hawx solved our problem satisfactorily & now after a yr of treatments we no longer wish for their services. Our agreement with Hawx was from Sept 2022 to the end of Aug 2023. Pd $150 initially and then $50 monthly payments. We made our last payment of $50 on Aug 6th & want to close our account (#******* now to avoid the Automatic renewal. Have made numerous attempts the last two days calling ************ as we were instructed to reach a Customer Solutions rep to close the account. 1st attempt 8/8 Their automated announcement says if you are calling about discontinuing your services please press 2. Was put on hold for 15 mins when ***** answered only to inform us that she could not close an acct that we need to speak with an acct specialist. She transferred us & were on hold for over an hour. Selected option 1 for a call back & could only confirm our phone #. Tried again in the after noon. After not choosing option 2 we were on hold for 17 mins when a **** answered only to inform us an acct specialist needs to close an acct. Was transferred & on hold again for over an hour. We then tried the Live chat only to have a ****** inform us that we need to speak with an acct specialist. we went on line to delete our credit card info so as to not have it charged if this keeps happening. Today 8/9 tried CST at 7:10 am and 7:14 am and put on hold selected call back option both times. at 8:05 am I emailed in reply to our receipt of payment from 8/6 to Hawx stating we wish to close our acct. briefly stating our inability to do so on the phone. I tried calling ************ & got the same routine of automated msgs. one of which was selecting option 2 to close acct. We have not yet received any call back.We just want to close our account with Hawx before going into the automatic renewal. **** and *********************

      8/3 salesman, Austin P********, came to our house to sell us services. Felt pressured to make a decision and wouldn't accept our comments of needing time/space and that I was still working. Was charged $52.99 for the service that would occur later that day. Was not told about the 3 business day cancellation or given the contract to read before initialing. When the technician came to spray an hour later, we refused services and he submitted that cancellation on his iPAD. Austin called shortly after and I told him we were not moving forward and he said we could get a refund in three days. We have not received a refund and when I called support on 8/4, I was told our account is still active and only an account specialist can cancel our account. No one said anything about the cancellation form that needed to be signed within three business days when I did speak to general support on the phone or chat. I have been on hold for an hour to 2 hours at a time every day since and requested call backs that I have not received yet. I submitted the cancellation form as soon as I realized that was listed in the contract that I was not given the chance to read.

      This company is a scam. My wife and I have attempted to cancel our contract for months. We wait on the line for hours it feels like only for them to hang up. We asked a few months back to cancel and they wanted an early term cancel fee. We’ve waited until our 1 year is up and would like this to be cancelled , but we can not get ahold of anyone to cancel. Complete run around. Sells lady said we would see someone once a month, I think I’ve seen maybe once every 2 months. I just want my account cancelled so we can move on.

      In May 2022 I subscribed for one year of termite bait stations at a month, promised the agreement was for 12 months and would not auto renew. 6/1/22 2 technicians came, the was unprofessional and flirting. Trainee trampled expensive flowers and left omitted bait stations, company did come place more after requested. In 6/23 my card was stolen so i got a replacement. I did not update payment with Hawx as I was not satisfied and contract completed. Tried to call back without answers or ability to leave messages, they called but not during my hours available. I was scheduled for a June bait station refill, which did not occurred, thusly I have not received any additional services from last year‘s completed contract, so I performed myself out of pocket. I then tried to email and cancel my contract as the 12 months had finished. And got the attached email to call. Yesterday I called and was repeatedly tried to sell another contract after adamant refusal and woman not allowing me to talk, me stating I already treated house, treatment didn’t work, had to get new siding, I was informed that my contract was not finished but now month to month. I explained I did not agree to this and it was written/initialed in my contract, she told me I misunderstood my agreement. I told her contract was complete, I didn’t receive June refill when due or any additional service, had bugs so treated myself, not satisfactory please close account. Was told of $1500 termination fee, men would dig up bait stations I refilled despite them being in establish monarch gardens with active caterpillars and bees, despite me asking not to trespass, review of accounts shows chemicals used I did not authorize. And I got an email today saying my contract was still active. Passive aggressive pushy scam artists. Should’ve know when they were going door to door. I want my bill adjust to minus months of service not received and no further contact

      A door to door salesman came to my home selling pest control services. We told the person we were interested but wouldn’t make a final decision until they give us the price of termite bait traps. He told us the person who does that would call us with pricing. He took my card info in the event we wanted to set up services and told us we would not be charged until and unless we decide to proceed. I was contacted by the termite guy with a very high price and we decided not to proceed. I was then charged $65 on 7/5/23 then a recurring charge of $50 on 8/4/23. I texted them on 7/6/23 confirming cancellation. I called them today and was put on hold for 20 minutes, then I opted to leave my number for a call back, which never came. I tried their chat feature on their website and they told me I had to call.

      A hawx salesman came to my home today and said I had three days to cancel this service at no cost under NC law. I wish to cancel this service immediately. I have yet to receive my initial treatment.

      Hawx almost never answer their phone. When they do end up answering and determine you wish to cancel they will put you on hold and eventually hang up on you without processing the cancellation.

      erraneous charges after my contract is up, refusal to cancel the billing and admittance to not doing the work they are still trying to charge me for. They were supposed to come out again in February and cancelled (without telling me or bothering to try and reschedule), but kept billing me after my contract was over. Harrassment for collection of bill that is not valid.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and although it is sad it took so many calls and messages with complete avoidance until I went through the Better Business Bureau, I am happy they are removing the undue fees for which the unlawfully charged me. At this time I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as they do in fact remove the charges. If they do not, I will move foward with all legal avenues available to me as a consumer. Not because the amount is big, but because it is apparent that this company continues to defraud its customers and make it difficult to cancel.

      All I need is for my account to be cancelled and the balance removed as I did not receive the services they are trying to charge me for.

      May 2023 - Service for May was never performed.
      5/22/23 - Hawks sent an email letting customers know they were moving to monthly billing.
      5/23/23 - Called to cancel, waited on hold for over an hour and gave up.
      5/31/23 - Sent email to cancel my account.
      5/31/23 - Received response that I needed to call.

      Gave up and waited for them to call me.

      8/8/23 - Received a call attempting to collect the balance. I let the representative know that I've been attempting to cancel since May and she was not able to help and transferred me. The next representative on the phone said, "You would need to meet me halfway and allow us to do the service and we will only charge you $25". I did not want the service as I already have another company treating my home. I asked her again to cancel my account and remove the balance. She said, "I am not able to do that so you have to pay your balance or meet us halfway, nothing more I can do." I informed her I would be making a complaint to the BBB and her response was to hang up on me. Shortly after our call I received an email stating my account was still active.
