      Hawx came door to door and offered pest control services that should be done every 4 weeks for mosquitos. I walked the property with the sales rep and he was confident they could help with mosquitos and set mosquito traps to help tame the population. Every call I have had to be on hold or wait 2-3 hours for a call back. They offer free sprays between services as an added benefit and have not allowed me to schedule a respray. I have stated on the phone they are in breach of contract and have asked to allow me to cancel without penalty due to the inability to service my account as agreed upon verbally and in writing. Today marks 45 days since the initial service. They state after 10 days you can call for a reapplication if bugs are still in abundance. They have failed to be available to schedule a new appointment and have failed to spray with the 30 day promise between applications. I have asked on the phone multiple times to allow me to break my agreement without penalty due to breach of contract and failure to provide agreed upon services.

      This is a very odd situation and I’ve already called and reported the sales representative that created this mess. In late July 2023 I had a sales rep soltiicnf Hawx service in my area, when offered the service I declined. The representative then followed up with “what if I was to give you a free service for mosquitoes. I was hesitant, but he insisted that the service would be free and that it would help him get sales with the neighbors seeing the Company vehicle in our neighborhood. Much to my dismay, I agreed for the “free” service. He said ok just sign here for the upcoming service and I’ll get a tech out Saturday July 22nd 2023. He then messaged me confirming that the technician would be heading over and that if the technician asks for the 55$ service fee, that Carson (name of sales rep) already covered it. On 7/26/23 I sent him a message showing I received an email saying I owed a balance of 55$. I took a screenshot and sent it to Carson, he assured me it was an automated message and he would “log in and correct it”. I began to receive more emails and texts of a past due balance. I finally called customer service, spoke to Account Manager Mariah, who then told me that I alledgely signed a 12 month agreement! And that there was nothing she could. I provided the screenshots of my conversation with Carson and she said it’s still not enough. Here’s the crazy part, I never provided my bank or social, this Carson character actually used what I was told as a invalid bank account. All for what? A measles 55$ or 12 month agreement for 600$? All this to disgruntled a potetntial customer who was LIED TO AND FRAUDENTLY PERSUADED TO SIGN A 12 MONTH AGREEMENT. Unprofessional and illegal. I received no further service and asked to not have any at all, I stated I want this “contract” voided, unfortunately Mariah stated I need to send in a formal letter to attempt that. Very dissapointed with all this and if not resolved will be going to yelp, Facebook, google etc to expose.

      Hawx pest control has been ignoring my attempts to contact them over stopping auto renewal. I have called them multiple times through out the year to stop renewal but their representatives have always told me to call on the last month of service which they told me was June. I was put on hold for over ten hours over the course of days and no answer. I have emailed them and they have acknowledged that I no longer wished to have any business with them but they only refer me to their non functional phone line. I have sent them letters over the mail twice and received no response. Though it seems they have no issue contacting me to bill. Looking at my still opened account they have signed me up for more services over the year despite my explicate wishes to the contrary. I'm not the only one the only to suffer this, hundreds of people in my local area have the same issues, so to my eyes they are unscrupulously trying to rope others and I in for unwanted services. All I want is for them to close my account and to leave me alone.

      I sent Hawx Services, LLC via tracked **** (#**********************) and requested to cancel the service following the instructions listed in the contract. Below is the delivery confirmation. Delivered, In/At Mailbox *****, ** ***** June 30, 2023, 2:05 pm. Since the mail delivery, 40 days have passed. However, I have not received any response from the business yet. I'm seeking BBB's assistance to request the business Hawx to cancel the service immediately. Thank you so much for your assistance!

We understand the importance of clear communication and transparency in our dealings with customers.
      Upon reviewing your case, we would like to highlight that our standard practice is to provide customers with a service agreement, giving them an opportunity to review it thoroughly and make an informed decision. According to our records, the service agreement was signed, and the three-day cancellation period has elapsed. As per the terms of the agreement, the contract is binding for 12 months.

Should you wish to proceed with the cancellation process, an early termination fee of $199.00 will apply, as specified in the agreement.       On 8/9/23, a salesman (really, a solicitor) came to my apartment to discuss pests in my home. He said he was giving us a 70% off discount where we would only be charged $40/month. He made no indication that I was signing a contract and did not verbally go over any terms and conditions. He did not say the card I put in was being charged. Since I am a renter, my landlord does not allow outside maintenance or pest control services- as they provide those themselves. I just thought he was taking my information to send me stuff about the company and their services. Then, after he left, I opened my email to a full contract that I had signed (unbeknownst to me) and an attempt to charge my card (which didnt go through, because I didnt have the money for it, because I didnt think I was signing up for anything besides information). I then called their customer service line and got connected with a representative after 18 minutes. After explaining everything, she said shed cancel my service he had scheduled, but that shed have to transfer me to an account specialist. After requesting that I speak with a manager as to not be on hold, she basically just told me she couldnt do anything except transfer me. I contacted my landlord and they said theyd have him forcefully removed from the property if need be. Unprofessional solicitors that dont even give you the chance to read the fine print (the contract was on his cell phone and there was no where to click to read anything and no verbal confirmation of the things I was signing for).

      A salesman for this company came to my door. I asked about getting one job done. I didn't realize that I was agreeing to a monthly plan, or I wouldn't have agreed to it. The salesman did tell me that I had three days to cancel. I've been waiting for nearly 30 hours for a call-back so that I can cancel this account because I do not want a monthly plan. My calls and emails have not been returned. The company apparently makes it impossible to cancel. I only have one day left to cancel, but every time I call, I am put on hold interminably, and requests for a call back have not been answered.

      A person came and told me that it was a service for only one month, that it was not a contract and that they would not charge me more. They are charging me monthly, I am trying to call and no one answers me. If they don't cancel my count, I'm going to seek legal help. It is illegal what they are doing, and I am going to make sure that many people know it! The Hawx company is stealing people's money!

      I had been using Hawx since 2017 and was very pleased with their service. They would come and treat the house every other month, send me a bill and I would pay it. Starting in 2021 they started billing me half the amount every month, half before the service and the other half when they treated the house. They stopped treating the house in February of this year but continued billing me every month. Since I was not always home when the came, I did not notice they stopped coming so I continued to pay until May of this year when I realized they had stopped sending me texts when the were coming to treat the house. I called them and they said they would not continue with the treatments if I did not bring my account up to date. I pointed out that I had paid for one and a half treatments that they did not perform and their answer was too bad pay the bill. I continue to get texts twice a month to pay my bill and phone call once a month. In total I have paid $335.50 for services I did not receive.

      After telling Hawx Pest Control to close my account after completing a ********************************* to pay $84 (2month charge) in June. I was told that my account would be closed. Instead, they continue to attempt to bill me another $80 and refuse to close my account. They are very unprofessional and I want their harassment to stop.

      I have recently adopted an 8 month old bully puppy. I asked your technician before my puppy came if the treatment on the grass was harmful to dogs. He assured me they were'nt. My poor puppy is riddled with bumps, raw redness, and hair loss. Every time he went in the yard it got worse. I have to take him to the vet because his situation is an emergency now. Please cancel any further dealings with us. We cancel our contract and when the test comes back confirming your products are at fault I will send you his bill. PS... you do not answer your phones. I have tried numerous times to contact you, all I get is a loop.
