I purchased a Vivint Security System in October ******************************************* full at the time of initial order. Was told I was on a month to month contract. In May 2024, one tech support employee marketed a *** service to me. Stating that my system would record 24/7 and be available for 30 days through cloud service. I agreed. The employee informed me that he activated the service and I was to see the update within 24 hours with the addition of a new icon to access the *** service.I phone the 800 number on my panel a week later. I questioned the *** service qnd told them that there was no new icons on my panel. And I also needed help installing a doorbell extender. The rep first told me that the *** service was to be accessed through their app and there wasn't an icon that would be on my panel. I explained that my system was not connected to wifi and I didn't have access to the app. (previous rep ****************** then they transferred me to tech. support 2. The tech support person tried to connect the doorbell extender and was unsuccessful. The solution was to have a service tech make a home visit and take care of my issues. I was then told there was noone available to make a service call. The support employee said they would call me in one week.I never heard back from anyone.June 19,2024 I called and asked to cancel my service with their company. The rep. asked for my reason to cancel. I stated my security concerns. I was told that my *** service wasn't paid for, therefore, I could not cancel I asked to speak with the supervisor and I was transferred. The supervisor would only repeat "You still haven't paid for the *** equipment." I told her I didn't receive any equipment. I also stated that I felt that I was fraudulently talked into purchasing this service. Because the rep told me that I would be able to access the service through my panel and there would be an icon there. The conversation ended with no resolve.

On 05/27/2024 a Vivent Representative (first name ******) called me. He was given my number by a family member in order to sell a security system. I was interested. He came by the same day and gave an overview of the system and services. My husband negotiated a monthly price for the service, and we agreed that we wanted the service. He asked for my full name and the last 4 of my social and advised it would be a soft pull on my credit. He sent an e mail with a DocuSign document that I did know was a contract however I did not know my right to cancel was in three days. He called a technician that also arrived the same day to install as ****** told us we had a only a small window to take advantage of their services with the "deal" they were offering. He promised to return the following day to make sure we liked the service, and we were okay with the install. He never returned. Some days later I receive a credit card statement with a balance of $3,400.00 and a card in the mail. We had no idea that this was a line of credit or that our right to cancel was within a three-day window. We have contacted Vivint and spoke to a representative named **** as ****** left no card and no contact information. It was at that time we were told it was up to ****** to release us from the contract. We have made several attempts to call ****** with the phone number given to us by the **************** to no avail. We have already filed a written dispute to the credit card company "Fortiva Retail Credit" Please help

A Vivint Salesperson came out to my home and sold us the Security system under the pretense that we could cancel at any time since we rent the home we reside in. In addition to the no contract conversation, we did not know that the equiptment was going to be one charge and the monitoring service would be charged seperately until we started receiving bills from a company called Fortiva. I spoke with a Fortiva rep and was explained how the process works with them. So I paid Fortiva the full balance due (2k) and tried to cancel my service with Vivint but was told that I'm under contract for 5 years. After months of back and forth we have not resolved this issue. I'm currently finding other Vivint customers who are in my area who have experienced the exact same practice with this company. I want to be done with Vivint Security Systems, period.

I called Vivint to close my account August ******* I told them to close my account she said ok and told me that there was a total owed , I said fine and paid ***** and some cents. I told her what do I do with the equipment she said it's yours it's paid off, so I took it down put it in box in the garage it went. Now I was looking at my bank account and saw that they were still taking money out of my account! After I cancelled! I asked why? They said they needed to have it signed document to stop payment! I never heard such a thing! Why, didn't say that in the first place when I called and cancelled last year! How stupid is that! I just want my money back! It's not my fault that those people can't do their freaking job! Now they are saying they need a sign paper to close my account! They are so stupid! I tried calling them again! And telling them why we're they still taking money out of my account when I had closed my account? She came up with I did not do it properly, what the ****, that's not an excuse! I just want my money put back! I was not satisfied with this company after five years! They failed me twice! And I have the the police report to prove it! Bad company!

My Contract ended with the company. I called them before my contract was up to cancel and was made aware I needed to complete paying the contract which I understood and finished paying. After checking statements they continued to bill me for 2 extra years when contacting them to rectify their mistake they would do nothing about their unauthorized billing on my credit card no refund was issued. Vivint Smart home unauthorized charged my card over $1,000 in services not received after already being told to cancel my account.

Received my Vivint installation 12/27/21, on the call prior to request service I asked was this a contract and was advised it was not. At the day of installation the technician had me sign forms advising it was a contract. I immediately informed him of the discrepancy and he called a supervisor. Myself and the supervisor spoke and exchanged contact details where they pulled my original phone call and confirmed the original agent did in fact sign me up under false pretense advising I was not bonded to a contract. I asked if I sign the paperwork with the technician will I be signing a contract as this was not my intent but would like the service and at this point already initiated the equipment payment plan/credit. She assured me I will not be bonded to a contact based on the findings of the call and will notate my account.Fast forward to 6/18/2024, I am purchasing my first home and no longer need the Vivint services as my home is already equipped. I call to cancel and am advised I have x months left in my contract and my equipment needs paid off. I advised the representative I would be more than happy to pay my equipment off but that I was advised back in 2021 I did not have a contract due to the incorrect information provided by the original call agent. She advised she would escalate and review call.Today 6/19/2024 she email me and and advised they are unable to pull a call that far back and due to fact I can only cancel by laying the early termination fee of my contract that I was never supposed to be in in the first place. SCAM! They are money hungry and liars! They sign ppl up under false pretenses to make a sale. Apparently the previous escalations department manager never made notations on my account despite saying she would and I wouldn't have this exact problem is I decided to cancel.

I am attempting to cancel the service that I've had for almost 8 years. The company is not servicing my account and is telling me they will not cancel. They have me on autopay and I want the service cancelled. There is no written agreement with them. They are operating in bad faith. The system has not been operable for almost an entire month. I have made no less than 10 phone calls to them and they are unable to resolve the issue. They keep giving me a run around.

There is a Vivint security system on our home, put in place by our last tenants who were continually stirring up problems in the neighborhood, who had the police at our address multiple times in the three and a half months they were in the home; at of whom at least one of the tenants was booked on concerning criminal charges, and who left our home with 1000s of dollars of damages, including significant damages to our property and possessions. We were able to get them fully out only after we had returned to our city (after 3 years abroad with the US Army). We delayed moving in several days to allow Vivint to remove their security system, or at least change locks and security to our control to regain the physical security of our home. We had multiple conversations with representatives at Vivint who assured us they were aware of the gravity of the situation and were working to resolve the situation expeditiously. Instead, promised calls never happened and the date of the removal of the tenants locks and installation of a system for ourselves have continued to slip further and further away as individuals at Vivint not familiar with the situation have called us to tell us of rescheduling due to their installers Thursday only schedule. We believe our previous tenants continue to pose a threat to our personal security. Vivint has not responded to my requests for information, let alone resolution of this still evolving situation. At the very least we need control of the security system that is in place at our address transferred to us (which would seem a simple process). We have sent Vivint requested documents certifying our ownership of the property. If transferring control of the current system is not possible we need the former tenants security system removed immediately so that we can install our own system, likely with a company other than Vivint. Thank you for your help in resolving this situation as soon as possible.

We have been overcharged and this product does not work. We have called multiple times and still nothing works. Our service is slow , the doorbell camera does not it does not ring. We owe more then when we started this service. We have paid more then what we ever agreed upon. This service is a joke I have told everyone we know about this service being faulty all the time. When you call for help they say they are helping and sending things and never do then want to charge you more. They take advantage of senior citizens is what it appears to be.
