I wet to a jiffy Lube. They noticed I had a leaky Oil sensor. They gave me a quote and told me they could fix it. When I had a day off I brought it in to have the sensor replaced I addition to other services including an engine degreasing, a oil change and some kind of cleansing of the oil system to eliminate sludge. The technician broke something. I had oil spraying all over my engine. After needing to rent a car and a broken promise of fixing it, 4 days later I retrieved my car with a leak and ************* holding together the part they broke.lots of run around...I submitted complaints to customer **********************. Finally I got a response.. The damage caused to my car was 8/7. I took back possession 8/10. I needed a rental to go to work. And *************?? Nope I was done with the stop gap measures. When thee major problem was detected ( they gave me back my car and within a mile oil spewed all over my engine and it smoked like crazy) The manager promised me that they would fix my car and replace both the sensor as well as the damage. He said it was a favor to keep the customer happy. In the real world they broke it. And it involves the Remo cal of my engine to fix it. Instead of alerting thugs powers that be and having the4 car towed to their prefered fixit shop, they wasted 4 days to cover up the mistake.currently they have owned up after my complaints to corporate. They are forcing me to go to their garage. I would like to pick my own mechanic. Someone I trust. Can I be forced to goi to a mechanic that I don't trust to fix a problem that was covered up?Business Response

Hello. My car has been in my designated repair shop is nice 8/23/23. Finally this week they are getting around to fixing it. Fingers crossed bI will get it back by the weekend., I was not able to choose my own mechanic when this all started on 8/7/2023. That M Monday was the day the mechanic broke my car. It should have been towed that same day to the designated repair shop and all this nonsense would have been resolved weeks ago.
I have oil all over my driveway from the cracked part. I had to pay for a rental car. And I really did to feel that the representative from Jiffy Lube spoke to me in a way that built back any confidence with their organization. The whole situation was mishandled.
I would like to have some type of reimbursement for my troubles. In addition I would like to hav e Jiffy Lube pay for made to bring the car in to my own mechanic for a second look to make sure the repairs were successful.

On 7/18/2023 I purchased an oil change from Jiffy Lube (**).** failed to affix the oil filter on the vehicle properly on this date.I notified the ** that I noticed a large oil spill in my driveway and that when I checked the oil, there appeared to be none registering on the dipstick at about noon on Tuesday 8/15/2023.****** at ** said she would meet me to inspect and said TDI engines burn oil and is probably why the oil was low.****** informed me to put 1.5 Liters of 5w20 synthetic oil in the car and meet her at ***************** outside the Navy Base.I rode my bicycle to the gas station on base, purchased 3L of oil and added 1.5L and checked oil and displayed full.****** sent her technician, and I met him at Navy Fed parking lot.******'s Tech got under the car and checked the oil, wiping the dipstick on his sleeve.******'s tech said everything was fine, that the oil filter was affixed properly, that he had brought one to change, but couldn't because he couldn't get under the car, but that the oil filter was on properly.******'s tech pushed an oil additive, gave me a brochure, and stated that TDI engines burn oil and that is probably what happened.I stated that we've never had an oil issue like this before.******'s tech advised me that the vehicle was ok, but that I should take it to Jiffy Lube and that it would be ok for me to take it to his ** on Thursday, two days later as my spouse needed the car to do his checkouts from the command on Wednesday as we PCS. ******'s tech said I should bring the vehicle by so that he could get under there and really make sure everything is ok and to 'top off the oil.' - mind you, he stated that the oil filter was on properly. ******'s tech mentioned that is something they do free of charge within **** miles of an oil change and that it is a routine part of their business. The last pictures of the pools of oil are after ******'s tech had inspected the vehicle and informed me that the oil filter was properly installed.Business Response

21 April 2023 I took my car in for an oil change at the aforementioned Jiffy Lube location. Following completion the Jiffy Lube technicians informed me my car was "leaking oil because the seal was broken" and advised me to "directly take the car to the dealership because the amount of oil leaking was going to damage the engine if I drive it". Upon taking it to the Dodge Dealership at *************************, a few miles north of the Jiffy Lube, it was determined the vehicle did not not have a damaged seal, and that the oil that was leaking was due to Jiffy Lube overfilling the oil by one quart. The "leak" was the excess oil that was pushed through the engine and into the air filters. It cost me $256.41 to have the excess oil drained, and the leaked oil cleaned from the engine and replacement of subsequent parts. I filed a claim with Jiffy Lube, at which time they only offered to refund the oil change fee, but not the repairs to the vehicle, claiming that because the car was taken to a dealership, it voided the warrantee/ contract on the back of the Jiffy Lube receipt. This vehicle was taken to the dealership, under the direction of the Jiffy Lube technicians who claimed the leaking oil was due to faulty/ failing oil seals in the car engine, when again, those seals were, per the dealership, in tact and the leaking oil was caused by the Jiffy Lube staff who overfilled the engine oil.Business Response

I had to wedge it up so it wouldn't drag on the ground.I went to Jiffy Lube when I returned and the lady stated that the manager said that it wasn't their fault and handed me the damaged metal piece. I told them the problem didn't occur until they took that piece off to change my oil and she replied again that it's not their fault and I must of hit something. I replied no I didn't hit anything that the piece wasn't put back on properly and she asked me if I wanted to drive my car out of the garage. On 4/27/23 my husband brought my car for an oil change and was told that my batter was low. The same day he brought his vehicle there as well and the next morning his check engine light was on. We had to take both cars to our trusted mechanic the next day and I was told my battery had 86% life and that based on the year of my car he would have been very surprised if I needed a battery. My husband goes to work at 4am and when he went to leave his check engine light was on so he brought it to our mechanic who said something was unplugged and not plugged back in. A few weeks later my husband's AC did not work so he brought it the mechanic who sent him to the dealer/************* in ******. The repair cost $159.90 and the mechanic said it was most definitely something Jiffy Lube did. I spoke to **** (manager?) and he was going to call Imperial and call me back. I have never received a return phone call from him or the other manager ****** who I left a message for. I called Jiffy Lube customer ********************** on 7/**/** and was told someone would call me back by the end of the day. I am still waiting for the call. Today I called customer ********************** again and the only option was to leave a message. This is no way to treat customers.Business Response

Be advised we refunded the guest the guest is stating we unplugged her a/c the other was for testing her battery or machine started it failed due to where battery is located, she was also refunded for that service as well by GM. The Imperial invoice states the module was never programmed and unplugged this is unrelated to our service. Therefore we are not liable and consider this matter closed.Initial Complaint

I took my dodge ram **** diesel in for an oil change and fuel filter change. Drove the truck home and the next day the light in fuel light turned on. I immediately took the truck back to Jiffy Lube in Papillion and they said it was probably just a sensor and that if the light doesn't turn off in a couple of days to come back and they would reset the light. A few days later the truck starts sputtering and blowing white smoke and oil out the exhaust. I had it towed to ************* where they determined that the fuel was now contaminated with water. They performed a compression test and leak down. Truck failed both tests. Husker quoted $25,000 for engine replacement, fuel system and exhaust system replacement. I had to pay $773.37 for it to be diagnosed. ***** the manager at the ************ me that they had insurance for this type of thing but needed another estimate. The truck was towed to *********************** on July 12th where they confirmed there was water in the fuel. They recommended engine, fuel and exhaust replacement as well. ******* is unable to provide a repair estimate because they were only authorized a 1 hour diagnose by Jiffy Lube which is not enough time to tear down the engine to compile a parts list. ***** was transferred from the Papillion store to a different store on Dodge street about a week or 2 after we made our complaint. He is no longer answering or returning my calls. ******* stated they have not been able to reach anyone at Jiffy Lube or ***** either because they need to pay the diagnostic bill of $176.00. The fuel filter was not changed properly on the truck causing the diesel to become contaminated which resulted in catastrophic engine failure. Date 7/31/23 Amount charge ***** *************************************************************** we took our car to this location to do a transmission flush.. We were waiting on our car while they were doing our service and the general manager was working on our car and we saw him make some sparks off our battery with his rachet. After that they told us that the transmission flush was done. We started our car to pull out and the check engine light came on, we talk with them and they put a scanner in our car and the general manager told us the code that the car was giving had nothing to do with the service they did. After that we open the hood and look at were he had made the spark and we found that the fuse was burn out. We talk again with him and he was aggressive and disrespectful saying that what they work on had nothing to do with the code that scanner was giving. He didn't want to own up to what he broke. Also he tells us aggressive to leave. We pull to a parking lot close to the store and 2 hours later while we were waiting for the town he walked up to us saying that he want to fix the fuse he broke when he made the spark. While he was replacing the fuse he still was being very disrespectful. After the fuse was replaced the check engine light turned offBusiness Response

On 8/3/2023, I paid for the advertised Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change. They never checked and topped off my antifreeze/coolant reservoir levels, inspected my engine air filtration system, checked my wiper blades, checked my exterior lights, checked my tire pressure, checked fluid levels under the hood, washed my exterior windows, or vacuumed my interior floors. They only changed my oil and oil filter. I watched the entire time.Business Response
