On June 28, 2025, I took my 2019 ****** Sequoia TRD Sport to Firestone for a routine oil change. Unfortunately, Firestone failed to replace the oil in my vehicle after draining it, which caused my engine to seize while I was driving on the highway. I broke down shortly after the service, risking serious damage and personal safety. A Firestone employee brought oil to my location and instructed me to drive the vehicle back to the service center. This was not only unsafe but likely caused further damage to the ********* a result of Firestones negligence, my engine is now completely inoperable and requires a full replacement. I have been without a vehicle since the date of the incident. Firestone has since left me a voicemail claiming that ****** does not sell new replacement engines for my vehicle. However, based on my own research and confirmation from ****** representatives, brand-new engines are available for my model.I am requesting that Firestone cover the full cost of replacing my engine with a brand-new, OEM (original equipment manufacturer) engine not a refurbished or used one. Refurbished engines typically lack warranty coverage, are more prone to issues, and are not an acceptable solution for a $56,000 vehicle that was damaged due to Firestones error.Additionally, ****** has advised me that even a full engine replacement is a complex process that can lead to ongoing performance issues. This entire situation could have been avoided had Firestone completed a basic oil change correctly.I am seeking a resolution that includes:* A brand-new OEM engine installed by a certified ****** technician * Full reimbursement for all related expenses, while I am without transportation * Written confirmation of warranty coverage for all work performed and parts installed This incident has caused significant financial and emotional distress. This place of business is using scare tactics to just sell parts. We took our vehicle to them to diagnose and repair the A/C. They told us that the compressor is totally shot that it needs to be replaced. He then told me that we also need to replace the condenser and the expansion valve. I have no problem with doing repairs that are required. The company hasnt even done the A/C flush to see if the said parts even need replaced.Initial Complaint

Firestone raynham I had my car wheels balanced and wheels aligned they gave me my car back that was already straight and it wasn't straight it was almost a whole turn to the right and I told them this they took the car back it was ten minutes till they close I heard huge banging going on like a sledgehammer repeatedly hitting something obviously my car it was so loud you could hear it three streets away then they gave me my car back and it was off alignment and shaking so bad now I need a new car the car is wrecked so I went across the street to pep boys in ******* and told them what happened they told me I need to get my money back and that they never even touched my wheels and four wheel weights were taken off pep boys replaced it for free and told me that my car would probably still shake while I'm on the phone with Firestone corporate now I have a car that was great alignment was great except after the visit to Firestone raynham my car now shakes and vibrates almost out of control it's pretty much wrecked now I need a whole new car because to chase a bent piece down that they probably beat on with the sledgehammer will cost me more than the cars worth I need at least a few thousand to get another car this is so awful I'm so not happyInitial Complaint

Myself and my daughter are returning customers of ********************** located in ****************. Not until my dad came to visit did I know at your oil change service they are supposed to check your fluids and either top off or let you know. My coolant, power steering, windshield wiper fluids were empty. Also on my daughter car. I call Firestone to ask if this was a service they did. I was told yes. I responded that myself or my daughter was given that service. I was told to come back in and they will take care of it. obviously, I refused. But I just wanted to confirm. I don't have to tell you what long term damage to our vehicles could happen if these issues are not addressed. I also asked them about tire rotation. I bout 4 brand new tires with Firestone and was never asked of offered tire rotation. I am not requesting anything from Firestone. Just really upset. My daughter could have overheated on the side of the road at night. They have definitely lost 2 cars as customers. Oil change are not cheap.Initial Complaint

July 14, 2025. I went in and had a simple check for **************** Also, received a wheel alignment just for me to not even get 0.2 miles away from location before my vehicle back driver wheel popped off and damaged my back bumper, wheel weld completely disconnected, other parts of my vehicle was left in the street. Im not even sure of how much other damage was done, but I am extremely upset. The techs at this location needs to be FIRED. The manager on duty was ****. All he could keep saying was he apologize but stuff like this shouldnt happen. **** stated this stuff happens all the time. WHY IS THAT A RESPONSE A MANAGER SHOULD GIVE? I had it towed back to the location where they are trying to fix the damage. If nothing is done about this situation, I will go higher if I have to. I have already filed a claim. I took my car to be repaired on July 07, 2025 to ********************************************* ***** MO, I got a call back saying that my radiator was the issue and was asked if i wanted it repaired. I agreed. I received a second call back and as told that it wasn**;t the radiator and it was a hose leading to the radiator and a mechanic put the wrong part on. I was then told that the sensor on the window could be fixed and was also told that the due to the error on fixing the radiator I wouldn**;t be charged for it however i had to pay $1,350.00 for the window sensor and that the part would need to be ordered. After a couple I called back to check on the status of my care and was informed that the company had to have the money payable on demand when the part was delivered and they didn**;t have the money at the time for the part. After I went to pick up my car on the drive home, i had several issues and my car was smoking. The company had my car towed to a dealership and was offered a rental car for five days and that it would take some time for me to get the rental.Initial Complaint

On May 22, 2025, I took my car to Firestone Complete Auto Care for a routine oil change. Later that same day, the engine failed. I had the vehicle towed to a ****** dealership, where they confirmed the engine failure was caused by lack of oil indicating improper service during the oil ********* father and I promptly submitted the dealerships diagnostic report to Firestone. The local store forwarded the documents to their corporate claims representative, *****, within two days. Since then, communication has been extremely limited. ***** acknowledged receipt of the documentation and last contacted us on June 19. We have since left multiple voicemails and sent emails requesting a status update with no response.On July 8, after calling Firestone customer service again, we were informed that ***** reviewed the claim on July 7. However, we have still not heard from her or received any resolution. It has now been over seven weeks since the initial service failure, and I remain without a working vehicle. This has negatively impacted my ability to work, run errands, and manage personal responsibilities.Firestones corporate claims department has shown a complete lack of urgency and communication throughout this process. After submitting everything requested and being told the claim was reviewed, weve still received no direct contact or resolution. Being without a vehicle for nearly two months has caused significant stress and disruption to my daily life, affecting my job, my family, and my ability to keep up with basic responsibilities. I trusted Firestone to provide quality service, and instead, Ive been left in limbo. Im asking for a formal response, full reimbursement for the engine repair, and compensation for the time Ive been without reliable transportation.Initial Complaint

Took our Jeep Cherokee to this location for an oil check and ** check prior to relocating out of state. Was told that the ** needed a part and that the part needed to be ordered and that the car would be ready for pick up the same day. Was never called. Had to call them at which time they said the car needed another part and it would be another day. Before agreeing to proceed with repair we informed them that wed be driving the Jeep from ** to ** for an out of state move and would need to know that the car would be ready the following day. We were assured it would be. Come the following day (the day of our out of state move) we were told the car would not be ready and that it now needed another part. We paid over $1700 and the ** is still blowing hot air. We had to drive this car from IL to ** with the temperature in the car being over 90 degrees. We find this consumer experience unacceptable and felt it appropriate to report and seek resolution. We would like a response from the corporate office regarding this formal complaint. I went to Firestone on 7/10/25 because my fan motor stopped working. They did a diagnostic test and told me I needed a fan resistor. They later came back telling me I also needed a fan motor too. They installed the parts after waiting for what seemed like hours. One of the mechanics came out to tell me that the resistor had melted and caused smoke under my dashboard. They proceeded to tell me the car had an issue with faulty wiring. They left the melted part in my vehicle told me they would remove the fan resistor part off of my bill. Firestone gave me a 10% discount for my trouble, but lead me to believe my car could catch on fire. I called ***** **** ***** the next morning I explained what I was told by Firestone. I was told they never heard of a 2018 ***** Trax having a safety issue with melting fan resistors. I feel that I was treated unfairly I should have been offered a new resistor. The one that was put into my vehicle was faulty. But, they decided to put the blame on an imaginary safety recall that didnt exist. Not to mention scaring me with the thought of my car catching fire if I touched my fan dials.Initial Complaint

I called open a ticket with Bridgestone who owns Tires Plus on Wednesday, 7/9/2025 and have not heard back from them that is why I am opening a complaint. This is the following information I will send to Bridgestone Tires.Hi, *******,We spoke on Wednesday, 7/9/2025 about an incidentoccurringat a Tires Plus store, Ticket # *******, where I brought my car in for $9.99 A/C check and was given a price $1332.82 for condenserreplacement and A/C refrigerant. I told them I would return on Sunday for work to be done. I went to pick up medication for my wife and then ****** Donuts then home. I noticed my engine light was on and I assumed it was related to replacing my A/C condenser. Just to make sure I have a FIXD units that plugs into the car and tells you what is wrong. Well it wasn't ***** condenser but it came up with 10 codes which had nothing to do with the A/C and I called Tires Plus back and they denied responsibility and said bring the car in and the will check it out and let me know how much it would cost. I am seeking complete repair of all these codes, P0174, P0717, P2228, P0113,B3109, C0800-12, B097B-02, C0544-5A, B1517-03, B3006-02.
