The car was taken to the shop on 04/05/2024 for an oil change and were charged $222.22 for this Service at FireStone at the location 10780 Pebble Hills Blvd El Paso, TX 79935. However, there is no oil sensor present. After three hours had passed, we brought the car home and parked it. Upon restarting the engine, we noticed that the oil pressure warning light remained illuminated, and the strange noise had become even louder. We contacted Firestone, who advised us to return the car the next day. However, I disagreed, sensing that there was a significant issue, so I decided to take it back before their closing time. Upon arrival, initially, the attendant mentioned that the sensor was already activated, which was not the case. Subsequently, they agreed to inspect it. After their inspection, they called us to examine the vehicle, suggesting that perhaps the sensor had been triggered during the oil change. They assured us that replacing the sensor should resolve the issue, and it shouldn't pose any further problems. Feeling reassured since they had "checked" the car, we took it back home, especially considering it is our only family vehicle. On Monday morning, while commuting to work, the noise from the car escalated significantly, and it began to stall in the middle of the freeway. With the same speed at which I was driving, I managed to maneuver to the shoulder of the freeway. We contacted Firestone once more to inform them of the situation, and they dispatched a towing truck to transport the car to the shop. After three hours, we received a call informing us that the engine had failed and was no longer operational. The vehicle was repaired at Chairez Auto Services located at 8181 Alameda Ave, El Paso, TX 79907. This is our only family vehicle, so it was essential getting it back in working condition as soon as possible. Our only request is for reimbursement of the expenses we incurred out of pocket for purchasing a new motor and labor to repair our vehicle.
