I received an email from this Launch Servicing LLC about an agreement to auto draft payment from my bank account. I have no idea who they are, I have no account with them, I have not received any account details from them. I have never given my bank account information to them, but they have my bank details somehow. They says they will take whatever amount of money they want from my account. I have notified my bank of this, it is a scam and has fraudulently accessed my personal data and banking information. The credit union referenced in the email is a loan servicer of mine, it has not yet started, and I have no login for their accounts and I have never given them my account information either.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: This doesn't answer any of my questions. This business has my bank account information that I never provided! And it took 10 days to send a letter?! Now who knows when I will get the letter and they want to start auto drafting me on the 24th. I still have no way to stop them, I don't know what it's in regards to. I will contact my bank and handle this. This response is just not accept at this point.

Launch Servicing loan was sold or transferred to ******. I was told that nothing would change with my loan (still didn't have to pay until the government makes a decision on the student loan debt forgiveness). Since the sale or transfer to ******, Launch Servicing is now saying that my account is delinquent and it has effected my credit score. I have the emails etc confirming this information. I don't want to pay this company when my loan is no longer through them but they are destroying my credit for no reason.Business Response

Launching Services acquired my ISA loan from the now Out of Business loan provider, **** *********. In July, I provided payment information proving that I do not meet the minimum requirements for payment. Several months later they are now claiming I am required to pay and falsified my salary information. I called them and provided them with payment documentation proving that my salary still does not meet the requirements for ISA repayment. After several days of back and forth, the employees of Launching Services are struggling to read my payment documentation correctly and do not understand a clearly stated section called "Salary". The worst part is this company has sent no messages via mail, e-mail, or their own internal portal (that I have made sure to save locally for personal records) mentioning anything about salary verification. All they sent was a message saying I owed them money without any valid reasoning. I have been paying my home imorovement loan with ****** ******* for ** YEARS! All of a sudden I receive collections call in November 22' in an attempt to collect a debt from Launch Servicing, whom I had never heard of before. I had 2 consecutive payments already en route to the same exact address/account as I'd been using for ** FLIPPIN' YEARS, and here i have ** ********* **** *** ************* ***** telling me I am delinquent and applying late fees!!!! *** ******** ** *** **** **** ****** **** ******* ****** **** **** *** *** ***** **** ***** **** ** ***** ** **** **** **** * *** ****.
Fast forward 3 more contentious calls, me creating a login on their portal
to provide evidence of my LAST 2 payments, to PAYOFF the note, and they try to tell me that the addess I had was incorrect. I called my bank with them on the line, and as soon as the ***** ***** rep heard 5 words *** ** **** ******* ******* he launched a FRAUD INVESTIGATION on them. *** **** ** **** ** *** **** then tries to say they sent a notice in the mail regarding the switch in providers, but had nothing when i asked for tracking info on it. **
I have finally paid off the last of it and am waiting for the payoff letter which supposedly went out 11 days ago; **** **
BEWARE of this bait and switch play. they bought out these loans and are just trying to pocket as much in fraudulent late fees as they can. ******** ********** *** ** *** **** **** ****** ** **** *******. I applied for an educational loan in order to obtain my masters degree. The loan was called "******* ****" and the educational institution was *** ******** ******* ** *********. The loan was for approximately $*****. I began my program in 9/2022. I took my first course and made 3 monthly payments of $*** (on time) to Launch Servicing LLC. I am assuming that this is a partner of ******** ******* ** ********* or they sold my loan to this company. Due to an unforeseen medical condition, I withdrew from the master's program. I attempted to contact Launch Servicing to take the necessary steps in order to stop the loan upon my withdrawal. I should have realized there would be issues when I could not find a contact number on the company's website. I sent messages asking what steps needed to be taken, only to be told I was responsible for the entire amount, even though Launch had never and still has never sent a single penny to ******** ******* ** *********. I have spent the last month calling both Launch Servicing ( I finally got their phone number from the collection calls they began making) and ******** ******* ** *********. Both company's refuse to do anything but point the finger at each other. Ironically, I am now receiving collection calls from Launch Servicing for the January payment of my loan. I have actually paid almost $*** more than I owe for the course I completed, which has been acknowledge by multiple people at both companies. Simply, Launch Servicing owes me almost $*** in overpayment and they are daily calling me demanding I over-pay them more then I already have. Furthermore, I was told by ******** ******* ** ********* that I cannot receive a receipt for the payment of my course because Launch has not paid them a single cent for my course that I completed in October. Neither company will allow me to talk to anyone besides a call-center employee who cannot seem to help. Both companies have done nothing to resolve the issue.Business Response

On August 6th, 2022, I signed up for a class through a local community college that utilizes a company called *****. ***** utilizes a company called LAUNCH SERVICING, LLC that represents itself as a loan serving provider on their website. When I signed up for the course, I spent approximately $** on what I believed was a "down-payment" on a $**** student loan. While I was signing up, I clicked a box that said would allow launch serving to automatically withdraw my $*** monthly payments from my account. Launch serving failed to automatically withdraw money from my account, and in less that 30 day, began to report late payments to credit reporting agencies, and I was barred from entering the virtual classroom for my year long course. When I contacted ***** regarding my account, I discovered the Launch Servicing had not actually given ***** $**** for the course, and that they were not actually a loan servicing provider to *****, but rather a "Payment Plan" provider, but LAUNCH SERVICING, LLC is falsely reporting the payment plan as a "debt" to credit reporting agencies when a debt has not actually been incurred. The school hasn't been paid, and the student is removed from the course. It appears that Launch servicing is majorly incentivized to not process payments, and to shift the blame for those unprocessed payments onto the customer because delinquent accounts are much more lucrative than current accounts, and because late fees can arbitrarily get tacked onto the account. The customer is incentivized to make these payments because their credit is rapidly plummeting at the same rate as a missed mortgage payment, or other real debt. All while LAUNCH SERVICING, LLC has spent nothing. This is exactly what has occurred with me. My credit plummeted from *** to *** in less than 5 months, and I had access to my class for less that a month. When I contacted Launch Servicing, I was told by the customer service representative that LAUNCH SERVICING, LLC was a "front". His words.Business Response

Launch Services does not help in any form, when I call, representatives are **** and I try to explain my situation of the payment and as soon as I make a payment, they still report my daughter and I in the credit bureau. Launch Servicing took over starting in December for ************ in relation to a loan for use in a home upgrade. I had a bill due December 16th. I sent a check through the my bank, **** that was processed and mailed on December 9th for arrival/delivery on the 15th. On December 21st, I received an email from Launch Servicing that my account was now in delinquency. This email was received 2 business days after the due date and 3 days after expected delivery of the check for their processing. I consider this harassment. In the multiple years of working with ************ (nee. **************), I never had any issues like this arise. The very first interaction and bill paid to Launch Servicing immediately goes into a "delinquency" thread of contacts. This is unacceptable and this company needs to be held liable for this aggressive communication, especially when I have sent transaction details from my bank's bill pay service.Business Response

My loan was transferred from ***** to Launch Servicing and in the transfer, a payment (though no fault of my own) was not withdrawn from the auto pay as had been done in the previous payments. Launch servicing contacted me after the fact and collected the missed payment, but still reported the missed payment to my credit report. Even though Launch Servicing had my debit card on file, and permission to debit my account, and my account was in the positive, AND they failed to debit my account, they still dinged MY credit for the missed payment causing me to lose my good credit score and now they refuse to remove the mark from my report. It caused my credit to drop by *** points and it was not my fault. Launch Servicing says it was not their fault either, so they will not remove the ding. Not fair at all.Business Response
