Went through here for my schooling for a veterinarian assistant. they told me i couldn’t get my certificate until my loan was paid in full ($2,046). i have multiple statements stating that my loan is paid off, called and they even stated that it was paid off, it got dropped off my credit, AND my certificate is even on the way in the mail but yet they keep trying to charge me random amounts. they have a 1 star review and i’ve seen reviews of this happening to multiple other people as well. i am 8 months pregnant and can’t handle the stress of worrying about not being able to pay my bills because they want to keep trying to take my money for no reason.Business Response

We opened a zero percent interest loan with ****** ******. One month before this loan was to be paid off, castle sold the loan to launch services. Launch turned off our automatic payments with out any notification, and refused to take the payment type we had been paying with per our contract with ****** ******. They charged us interest on a loan that has a contract for zero percent interest. Both launch services and ****** ****** are a huge scam and NEED to be reviewed by the BBBBusiness Response

Thank you for sharing your concerns. As mentioned in the correspondence dated June 28, 2024, auto-payments through ACH would continue. However, you indicated that you selected a credit card as your payment method. Please note that ACH payments are processed through checking and savings accounts and do not include credit cards.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
We did have ACH set up with our credit card. Please respond with an explanation or proof of where it says that we can not have ACH with credit card payments anymore since that was how we paid the loan the entire life of the loan.
Sincerely,

This company is partnered with ********** ***** *** and together they make an AWFUL team. We have been trying to close on our home since 6/6. It is now 7/23. We have pushed our closing 4 times, the buyer is getting ready to have to rent because she can't get into our house. Now, this has to do with the solar panels, which that is Everbright, HOWEVER, Launch is who you get when you try to make this happen. Launch has repeatedly dropped the ball during this process. Do not trust them to complete what they say. You MUST call in to make sure they are doing what they said they will. They will not reach out to you to ask for anything. If I hadn't called in on July 8th, they would've never called to ask for a contract that Everbright should have given them. They would've waited, which means the whole process was at a standstill. They also had an incorrect email address, which again slowed the process. They never returned phone calls then get passive aggressive when they see you are continuously calling them. I told them their words have no meaning because they have not followed through with anything they said they would. So as the client, you must reach out to them. Do not rest on their word. They are completely unreliable, untrustworthy, unprofessional, and show a great lack in communication-not just to their clients, but also, internally which is even more concerning. If you see ****** ********* anywhere associated with what you are doing, RUN. It took a month before they even let us speak to a supervisor, which we've spoken to 2 and nothing happened. We've even had our ATTORNEY call in and still nothing. We have also been told so many different things depending who we talk to. It is a complete mess at their office. Be ware!Business Response

This business is trying to charge me more money than owed & may damage my credit.
I've reached out on 6/2, 6/12, 6/15, 6/22 - received ONE response which made things WORSE - and I've now been on the phone an hour waiting for a human to speak with.
I'm an hourly worker. The agreement is that I pay 10% of my income IF I hit $40K.
Earlier this month they sent me a letter claiming I now made $44K, and thus my monthly requirements would go up. I sent them my income tax, proving I made $40,120 TOTAL INCOME (and thus the 10% of the $120 difference should be $12).
I wouldn't have even broken the $40K benchmark if not for a side-gig I picked up. How they imagine I got a raise of $4K is beyond me.
The rep claimed it'd be resolved - and then I received a letter saying "underpayment owed $2,012.02". I've paid this entire year, so where do they get that I now owe an extra $2K? I did not make $60K. My bank has records of all the payments.
My family depends on my good credit and I do not want clerical error damaging my score or siphoning funds I do not have.
Online they claim we'd receive a response in 2-3 business days, and I instead waited 2 WEEKS for 1 response that made things worse. Somehow they have staff available to commit TWO errors, but not enough to correct their mistakes?Customer Answer

I do not retract how awful the delay on their website is - nor the difficulty getting ahold of someone after work (during their posted hours).
However, I was able to get ahold of someone earlier this week and he is (allegedly) looking to correct my upcoming monthly fees (not yet updated).
As for the mystery $2000, the rep explained I was being charged retroactively. My hourly rate is not mathematically sufficient to break $40K (the threshold for payments) - but deferments had to be submitted regularly (and getting responses via their website remains horrendous) - THEREFORE I began taking additional hours SO THAT I could just start sending them payment and quit stressing. I thought they'd be happy to start receiving payments and would push the six deferred months to the tail-end - but instead, they're asking for it in a lump sum. One minute they're claiming I'm making an extra $4-5K (without reason), next I'm being billed (and couldn't get a response for days).
I will figure out the short-term payments and follow-up if they do not correct the long-term monthly dues. It remains frustrating that I sent them my tax return - which was sufficient to charge $2K but not sufficient to get a correction on my upcoming monthly fees.Initial Complaint

I had my student loan refinanced at Launch from SoFi as of April 6 2024. So-Fi sent an extra approx. $1300 to Launch Servicing and they havent repatriated that extra amount back to So-Fi and I am being charged an interest on that extra principal amount. I have been in touch with both the banks for the past 8 weeks but I do not see any action or hear about the update from Launch on the repatriation status.Business Response

This business is trying to collect the payment from me illegally due to bug in their system. I’ve been making monthly payments each month and yet, it appears that I still owe something even though my transaction history (which they also have an access to) shows that I did make a payment that was due on May 1st on April 17th and it did show “No Payment Due” for a week, and then, at the end of April the payment due amount appeared again. They also added a $5 late payment fee.
Their customer service representatives did promise me to resolve that issue but looks like they didn’t even create a ticket and it was a lie. I have all the proof, have my transaction history and have the agreement if needed. I am desperate as I understand that those late payments fees will keep accruing and no customer representative has been helpful to resolve this despite me explaining my situation. We even went through my transaction history yesterday on the phone, and the customer representative person did agree that it’s a mistake and it shouldn’t say that I owe anything. However, I received a message today saying that I have a payment due. I am afraid they will report me to the credit bureau for not making a payment on time. My monthly payment is $683.33 each month and I do pay a little more sometimes (but never less). I uploaded my transaction history which shows payments each month and the delinquency letter they sent me even though I paid my May payment due on April 17th.
Thank you!Business Response

I attended a Java boot camp with **** ******** from May 2022 to August 2022. My program was financed with an ISA through ****** **************** (SKL) which later became Stride Launch Servicing (SLS) in February 2023.
I was unable to secure employment using anything taught in the bootcamp, but I understood that I would be making payments regardless of my income source as long as my annual income was $40,000 or more a year.
Fast forward to January 2023, I didn't secure a job until early-mid January so my income was recorded as $0 and I was placed on deferment until April 2023. This position was a 6-month contract, but there was no expectation of being hired full-time. I have correspondence from ****** *********Finance where I sent them my first pay stub and income verification back in February 2023, and they still processed the deferment through April.
When April 2023 rolls around, they expected me to pay $381.87/mo. based on my gross income and I have documentation of me making every payment in time and in full from then until now. I eventually was hired full-time in July and I continued to make my monthly payments.
In April 2024 SLS requested an income verification and reconciliation where they assess how much I made and how much I'm expected to pay for the following year, and I provided it. It was nearly IDENTICAL to the amount assessed during the deferment period. They reassessed a lower monthly payment ($377.91), but determined I underpaid for 2023.
They made the amount due for my June bill and the amount is over $1800, which is more than my net income per check. After speaking with a SLS representative named Linda she told me, because the previous provider, SKL, didn't begin charging me during my deferment, I'm responsible for their mistake.
They haven't made any attempt to work with me to reconcile this after I suggested spreading out the alleged underpayment over the next 12 or even 6 months.Business Response

I have never had any student loans. However, I was sent an email today by a company called Launch Servicing that asks me to sign up for an online account to service my loan. I have not made any loans and I have no idea what the email is all about.Business Response

The first issue is that they are placing late payment on my credit report while i am technically still enroll in courses which is illegal if my payments are deferred while enrolled into school. Secondly they state they have reached out to me via mail but I no longer live there or have the phone number they have on file. I called and the automated system would not transfer me to an agent on top not being able to email a higher up to relay this issue. Customer representative ***** ** and **** in Sioux falls refused to get me to a supervisor after I arguing over an hour they finally tells me someone is going to call me in two days. The representatives kept trying to undermine and confuse what i was saying as if the call wasn't recorded. Trying to tell me things I didn't say it was terrible. Jada stated they have tried to reach through these various ways that I stated was invalid and she still failed to update my phone number or address. If you don't believe me PULL the call I have to make her. This is ridiculous if I am currently still in school!! I will be reaching out to the state senator until I can discuss with someone with authority at ascentBusiness Response
