I initially took a loan out of $600. I paid $355 on 12/15/23, 12/21/2023 $189.71, 01/08/2024 $189.71, 01/26/2024 $189.71 ACH, 01/26/2024 $0.29 ACH, 02/08/2024 $188.80 Debit Card. I requested the pay off quote on 02/05/2024. The person I spoke to stated I have to pay with a debit card. I gave information and confirmed, however my bank notified me of the transaction declining due to wrong expiration date entered. I called to fix this on 2/7/23 and was notified I still had to let yet ANOTHER transaction payment of $189.71 process and that they were collecting a debt in collections!! Today I tried to access my customer account and was alerted that I was DELINQUENT. I sent an email as follows:
Hello,
My name is ******* *****. I have been trying to pay off my loan for SEVERAL DAYS. I am being told now that I am in collections????? The person I spoke to on the phone initially took the wrong expiration date. I have proof due to my bank denying the transaction for the wrong expiration date. Yesterday I spoke on the phone with someone to fix the issue and it was supposed to be paid today by 2. Conveniently no one is able to answer the phone when I call and now it is your "2pm cut off" within a few minutes of sending this. I am beginning to think this whole operation is a scam and I will be reporting. Suspicions arise from not being able to access proper documentation of the loan origination and many requests to have documentation of pay off amount as well as constantly having to supply very important personal information in emails and over the phone with people I can barely understand.
Sincerely,
******* *****
I called and spoke to a ******** this time who apologized and after I stated the above she said someone would have to call me back. Immediately after this call the payment was taken from my bank account and I could access my customer login page. I have requested that the loan be marked paid in full but no written documentation has been provided.Business Response

The name of the company is National Nation Loans. The address on their website matches this one. I hope this is the right business. The sum of $350 was put in my checking account. I was called the day before the deposit was made and I told the man I spoke with that I did not apply for a loan, that I didn't want one and that I had no idea what he was talking about. He said "Ok" and hung up. I want to return this money and to know exactly how they got my banking information, because they did not get it from me.Customer Answer

They reversed the "loan" today. I'm not happy with their customer service skills, but as far as I am concerned this is resolved.
I'm still going to close my account and take more security precautions.

Dear ******* **********
We are in
receipt of your recent complaint and concern related to the loan you received
from WLCC Lending HBC DBA National Nation Loans (the “Company”) and would like
to take this opportunity to respond.
Please be aware
that the Company is an entity of the Wakpamni Lake Community Corporation, a
tribal corporation wholly owned economic development arm of the Wakpamni Lake
Community, which is a local subsidiary government under the Oglala Sioux Tribe
(the “Tribe”).
The Company
takes these types of inquiries very seriously and would like to provide you
with the below information. However, nothing in this communication should be
construed as a waiver of the Tribe’s or the Company’s sovereign immunity, all
of which are expressly preserved.
The Tribe is a

the Indian Reorganization Act of ***** ** ***** **** ** ****** ** **** *t
seq., as amended, and is identified on the United States Department of
Interior’s list of federally acknowledged Indian Tribes. 81 Fed. Reg. 26,826

You have
expressed concerns that you received this loan but did not apply with National
Nation Loans.
We understand
that you may not recall having applied with the Company.
Please be aware
that we work with a number of marketing lead generators and it is very likely
that you applied for a loan through the website of one of our affiliates and
partners. During the application process, the lead generator notifies the
applicant that they are not a lender and gains consent to send the application
through to the matched lender, which would be National Nation Loans.
According to
our records, we received an electronically-signed loan agreement, which is
signed by clicking the ‘I Agree’ button on the loan agreement, in your name to
borrow $350.00 from National Nation Loans on 01/23/2024. Per
that agreement, the $350.00 was deposited into your ***** ******* account ending in -***** the bank account listed on the

Prior to full
review of this complaint, and based on a previous communication we received

Once this debit
transaction clears, your account will be considered to be paid in full and
closed. There will be no balance due at that point.
If you believe
that we did not receive your account as described above, please let us know so
that we may assist you further in investigating the issue.
We hope that
you find this letter of explanation satisfactory. If you have any additional
questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. When you do, please include your full name, last 4 digits of your SSN,
Date of Birth, and email address or phone number on file so that we may

I took a loan out with first day loans and it was a ridiculously high interest rate like 400 or 500% interest, so I called to pay off the loan early on December 13 and I was told to pay it by debit card and I did in full. Two days later the company took an ACH from my bank account unauthorized for $14.25 the company refuses to give me my money back today as they want me to do a three-way call to verify that the money was taken from my account now they have the ACH I would not have known the amount of the ACH if I didn’t check my account so that it was taken and I’m not giving a company a three-way call where I have to enter in my security, information, pin, and password with them on the call when they stole money from me. They also are charging illegal interest by the state of Ohio rules. ********************************************************Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have since received another charge of $35.41 because they made me pay by debit card and their operation is not even in the United States. It’s in another country, so therefore it was held as a foreign transaction by my bank. It shows that they are clearly misrepresenting their tribal affiliation as they’re not even in the United States and, like I stated before they violated Ohio laws, as they are not licensed to do business in Ohio, and I am in Ohio, and they violated Ohio’s maximum interest rate law, so I would like my interest returned, as well as the fee that I was charged by my bank. I just want my money back if they’re not gonna do that then I’m gonna report this to the Iowa Attorney General’s office as well as to see if PB because they are misrepresenting themselves in acting unethically and possibly illegally

I applied to see if I would qualify for a loan thru a website that was NOT ******** ****** *****. Apparently that company forwarded on my information to other loan companies to see if I would qualify for a loan. ******** ****** ***** was one of those companies. I never directly applied with them nor did I accept a loan from them, sign any documents or provide my banking info. However, the lender deposited $500 in my account on 11/21 and started debiting my account for $158.09 on 11/30. I have attempted to contact the company during their stated business hours and only get and answering services and no call back. I received a vague email and responded back with my concerns and of course I’m sure I won’t get a reply or it will be more vague dialogue. This company knows that their practices are deceptive and downright criminal which is the reason they give the run around. I’m sure I’m not the first person to experience this nightmare. I only realized this situation on today 12/4 when I reviewed my bank account in detail which I do once a month. After researching I discovered I’m expected to pay back over $2,000 for a loan I never authorized and never accepted and how exactly are they obtaining consumers bank account information if we aren’t providing? This is definitely can’t be in compliance. I work at a financial institution so I definitely would know this isn’t kosher. Then it appears they hide behind the veil of we don’t fall under traditional government and fall under the Wakpami Lake Community Government laws which of course isn’t easy to locate what those laws consist of. Definitely unscrupulous practices. I am returning the $500 minus the $158.09 debited from my account and want all future debits to my account cancelled. I don’t know how they have gotten away with this for this long!Business Response

I took out a payday loan with **** **** *******. To avoid high interest, I always paid the loan off in full on Fridays, which would be the Friday I got paid and due date. They allow you to take another loan on the same day it is paid in full. Everytime, I called there was always problems with reps not knowing the correct processes. I had a rep me tell me Coshocton things causing transactions to go wrong. I would always take another loan in a smaller amount with the goal to do this until I could get the lowest and pay it all off. I made a $498 dollar payment over the phone. I took out a loan for 250. I would not have been able to take the loan of $250 had I not payoff it off. Two days later the $498 was refunded. I was not aware of the refund. When I called the next papyrus with the intent to pay off the 250 I learned that I owed 750. I am really upset bc how does a rep have the ability to teething a payment when such transactions require higher up processing? I feel this was done maliciously. This had cause a hardship as my pay is now lower. My rent had increased and this makes it hard for me too budget. I fell that they should write off the 498 amount bc that was due to a mistake of their own.Business Response

Why choose a BBB Accredited Business?BBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.
BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
