04/08/2025 Two orders totalling 500$I have placed several orders with this company and had absolutely noil issues until the most recent 2 orders, placed on April 8, 2025. I placed the orders with this company because they indicated that items would ship in 1-2 days with arrival between April 13 and 18. On April 15 the orders still showed unfulfilled so I contact customer service - orders were being fulfilled and shipped that day great! April 17, ***** still shows label created and they haven't been picked up. I contacted the company and no one can give a direct answer on hold for the *** to speak to someone in nursery without any answers about where my order is. I was offered a 10% coupon when I asked about cancelling. I was told because the ***** label was created that they cannot cancel and offered a 10% coupon which is a bit ridiculous. I just want the plants I ordered delivered when stated and absolutely no one can seem to find out where my plants are and where the order is in the system. Absolute turn off, I have a backyard project on hold waiting for this delivery. I just want my plants.

I placed an order on December 9, 2024 for a Finger Lime tree from this business. Their website and confirmation email said that the tree would be shipped the week of March 26, 2025 (given the climate and temperature-sensitive nature of this tree). Instead, they delivered the tree a month early, on February 26, 2025. This was in the middle of a winter cold snap.I planted the tree and it quickly died because of the cold temperatures. I reached out to them within 30 days (March 17) given that they have a guarantee on their trees for 30 days after delivery and the entire tree was completely dead. I sent them photos to document. I received a response that they didn't think it was dead and to wait a month while continuing to water it. It has now been another month and the tree is still completely dead (documented with more photos), and they will no longer respond to my emails or provide a refund.

I placed an order consisting of one contender peach tree. This item was shown on the website and review images as being in a container. When item was received it was bare root and came in a burlap sack. I reached out to the company and was told it was the correct item and I was to supposed to plant it in the sack. That is not described in planting instructions on website. It states to cover roots with dirt. Also in this order was 6 Italian cypress that are brown from the top half way down since planting and a wisteria plant that was shown in photos on website to be taller than 6 inches and come with a trellis made of bamboo. The wisteria can with roots showings, was smaller than shown and the trellis was 3 decomposing bamboo sticks that were hastily stuck in. Ive called twice and been told each time a supervisor would call me back (never received a call back) over 20 emails with pictures sent detailing my disappointment and asking for a full refund because I feel this is mostly an issue of false advertising and reaching out to their ******** page to no avail. Also, every package in this order arrived damaged. I have many photos to prove all that I claim but can only upload 1 to this complaint due to size issues when uploaded. Can gladly provide them if needed.

I purchased a Baby Blue Eucalyptus for $196.88 on January 28 2025. The tree perished miserably so I requested store credit under their 365 alive and thrive guarantee which was attached to my purchase. I submitted multiple emails through their contact is portal and it took 7 days to receive a response. I requested store credit and they sent me an invoice for $40 to reshipment the same exact tree that perished miserably. I requested store credit on the email chain to ****** and received no response. I would like store credit because of how the tree perished in the first month of having it. Fast growing trees did not honor their store credit policy when I requested store credit of $196.88 for the diseased tree.

I purchase a gallon White Pineberry plant from fast growing trees. I have been happy with my other purchases from this business and looking at the pictures on their site, I had no concerns about this purchase. When the plant arrived, not o ** did it look like it had damage, but the plant was tiny. This plant did not look any thing like the pictures on their site and I am very unhappy because I paid $48.95 for this tiny little plant that would cost $5 at any other nursery, which was confirmed by a visit to my local *********** I emailed customer service to tell them about the issue and they said, 'we don't sell plant by size, rather we sell them but pot size.' So apparent** it is ok to put a tiny plant in a gallon bucket and charge $48.95 for it.After this transaction I fell like I have been a victim of fraud by the Fast Growing Trees company.

I had an excellent experience with prior purchases and plant replacements with this company, receiving replacement plants in Oct 2023 after 2 plants had died after arriving infected with a brown spot mold. In 2023, the plants were covered by this company's 1 year guarantee warranty. The replacement process was smooth, no hassle, and I received replacement plants for free (as promised by their warranty).Last year, I ordered 18 Boxwood plants from Fast Growing Trees. They are also covered by a 1 year "Alive and Thrive" replacement guarantee. 3 of them did not survive the winter and have died. On 3/27/25, I submitted a warranty claim for replacements. Initially, I called them (which was their prior process) but they now said claims can only be submitted online (via a link buried under multiple sub-menus on their website.) They promised a response within 72 hours. 5 business days later, still no reply. So I sent a follow up email. 1 week after that, still no reply, so i sent another follow up email. Now Fast Growing Trees won't honor their guarantee. First, they are requiring I pay shipping costs for the replacement plants when 1) the original order had free shipping, and 2) the warranty promised replacement at no cost.On top of all of this, the company doesn't even have plants in the original size I purchased. They only have much smaller plants. Despite the fact that they are unable to replace my plants as promised under their guarantee, they are refusing to refund my money for the 3 plants that died. They are engaging in deceptive business practices by no longer fulfilling their no cost replacement guarantee, and by refusing to provide a refund when they don't have the plants to provide a replacement for my original purchase.Lastly, after multiple exchanges with customer service, I submitted a review on their website. The review does not appear on their website. Given that there are ZERO one or two star reviews, I suspect they are suppressing negative reviews.

We are so sorry that your plants have perished. We do currently offer a Free One Year Warranty with our orders however our One Year warranty does not issue refunds. Under our One Year Warranty we are able to process replacements if you cover the shipping cost or store credit for the price paid for the plant. We have attached our terms of service: ***************************************************************

    Customer Answer

    Date: 04/10/2025

I am rejecting this response because:

The original purchase had free shipping. I should not have to cover shipping costs for a warranty replacement when original shipping was free, and when my previous warranty replacement 1.5 yrs ago was covered in full (including shipping).

Additionally, since Fast Growing Trees is not even able to provide replacements plants due to a lack of stock, they should provide a refund instead.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/12/2025

Since we sell live products, we do not extend refunds under our guarantee. Unfortunatly due to the age of the order we are unable to provide refunds however we have offered to honor the One Year Warranty which issues a one time replacement if the customer covers shipping or store credit for the price paid for the plant. We have sent a follow up email providing these options and have included a link to our One Year Warranty and terms of service:

I ordered 21 Leyland Cypress and 1 Maple Tree. The quality of what I received was absolutely unacceptable. The maple tree had the top cut off and there are no leaves on the tree. The quality of the cypress trees is also unacceptable. I saw these at a local nursery, but they did not have the quantity that I needed so I ordered from Fast Growing Trees. For the same price, the quality of these is significantly less than the nursery, and completely unacceptable. The cypress arent nearly as full (even at the small size). Some are broken in half. Some have had the top cut off. Some are so weak they dont stand upright at all. The quality of the plants I received is completely unacceptable. I could understand if there were 1 or 2 in the shipment that had issues, but NOTHING is of an acceptable quality.

We have followed up with the customer and have agreed to issue a full refund for this order. They are welcome to keep, donate or dispose of the plants. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for this refund to reflect back to the payment method used on the order.

Second Failed Order Damaged Cherry Tree, Lemongrass plants and Apple Tree Still Missing, and Repeated Shipping Failures This is my second formal complaint regarding Fast-Growing-Trees.com. The first involved a severely undersized and unhealthy ***** lemon tree, along with missing items from the order. While that issue was partially resolved with a refund via store credit, Ive since experienced even more issues of poor fulfillment. In the 1st order, I was told the lemongrass plants and one of the apple trees were delayed. That was never communicated in advance I found out after opening the box. I called and was told that if I wanted to cancel the missing items, I would have to pay for replacements upfront and wait to be refunded, which is completely unacceptable. As of today, the lemongrass has been delayed again now with a revised shipping date of April 8 and delivery on April 11, well beyond the original delivery date of March 28 to April 1. I had to call to get that update; no one from the company contacted me. The missing apple tree from that same order has still not arrived either and no updates have been provided at all. I used the store credit issued from the lemon tree refund to place a second order: a Lapins + Bing cherry tree combo. The Bing cherry arrived in fair condition, but the Lapins cherry was broken, nearly leafless, and more than a foot shorter than advertised and not remotely close to the product description or images on their website....again. I intentionally delayed responding to the businesss last BBB message to give them a chance to fulfill the rest of the order and Im now dealing with multiple delayed or missing items across two separate orders and two trees received in poor condition. This is now my 2nd failed experience with Fast-Growing-Trees.com. Between lack of communication, misleading product descriptions, and poor quality control, its clear this is not an isolated incident. Please work on ** I enjoy shopping here.

We sincierly apologize for the delay in shipping your order. We have reached out and cancelled the Lemon grass and issued a refund for this item and provided tracking for the other two missing items from your order. Let us know if you need any additional assistance.

On 3/29/2025, I paid $512.44 for 16 Lynwood Gold Forsythia Shubs. When order #********** arrived on 03/25/2025, they were full of leaves. This means they were no longer in dormancy. The website said they would be sent according to my area (zone 6), but we havent had our last frost yet. Now the website states they arent shipping until April 9th. I sent an email with example pictures of damaged plants and the fact that they were not dormant. There has been no reply so far. I do not want a credit because I would never buy from them again. I want a credit due to their sending non-dormant plants too early.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/09/2025

We are so sorry your Forsythia was affected by frost. We do delay shipping to locations based on growing zone and it looks like your zone was scheduled for shipping towards the end of March. Since our nursery is in a warmer climate, many of our plants may have emerged from dormancy earlier than in your area.

Since you have these planted in the ground, the roots are well insulated and the frost should not have affected the overall health of the plants however it does look like some of the tender new growth was affected. While this may drop off, new growth should form as temperatures warm up again. They are cold tolerant to zone 4 so they are good for your location however you do have the One Year Warranty should they perish within a year from shipping.

We have attached a link to our terms of service as well:
     ***************************************************************

    Customer Answer

    Date: 04/09/2025

I am rejecting this response because:

The website currently shows a more accurate delivery date of April 9 - 11.  In addition, plants should be dormant when transplanted from pots. What we received were plants way past that point. They not only had no flowers, but were already full of leaves.

Yes, you give a 365 day guarantee.   Even if the roots live, we will have pathetic plants by the end of the march next year. HARDLY what we should have been given.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/12/2025

We're sorry to hear about your concerns with the timing of your Forsythia shipment. We completely understand how important it is that your plants arrive in a condition that gives them the best chance to thrive in your garden.
Our shipping schedule is based on your USDA growing zone, and for Zone 6, we begin shipments in late March, which is when your order was sent. Because our plants are grown in Zone 8, they may break dormancy earlier than they would in your region. This is completely normal and does not negatively affect the health of the plant. In fact, were happy to hear your Forsythias arrived healthy, leafed out, and blooming thats a great sign theyre off to a strong start!
We understand you noticed a different ship date listed on our website. Thats due to our updated system, which now ships orders within 24 days of purchase to improve efficiency. It isnt a delay or change in your shipping priority, but simply a reflection of our real-time order processing.
As for your request for a refund, because the plants were delivered healthy and thriving, and are still covered under our 365-day guarantee, a full refund isnt something were able to offer at this time. However, please know that your plants are fully protected if any issues arise within the next year, well be here to help, whether its a replacement or credit.
We hope your Forsythias continue to thrive and bring color and beauty to your garden this season! If you have any further questions or concerns, were always here to help.
