I ordered 4 trees from ************************** in the same order #**********. For the 7-foot Sunset Maple tree, they packaged it with another tree inside a 6-foot box, breaking the tree top and stressing the tree making the leaves fall off. I made a claim and sent photos the day I received the tree (5/11/25), and asked for a refund due to their poor packaging causing the damage. A week later, they said to keep watering and nurturing it, and get back in touch if it declines. It continued to decline, loosing leaves, and of course still has a broken top. I replied with more photos of the damage, and I continue to receive no refund 5 weeks and 4 emails later. Why would someone pay for a taller tree at a higher price to have it jammed into a box too small for its size? I do not want a replacement, only a refund. 3 of the 4 trees I received are very scrawny, had bark damage, and overall, not worth the money paid. I feel the other 3 trees are on me for ordering site unseen. The damage to this tree, however, is 100% on them due to poor packaging. The Sunset Maple was $174.95 and after a discount applied, I paid $122.46 + $8.57 tax = $131.03 That is the amount of the refund needed.

I've been an accredited business owner for ***** and fully understand the importance and implications of leaving reviews, good or bad. 4/4/24: Received 40 trees and paid $4136.85. 4/10/24: Sent 1st email regarding condition. 4/11/24: Received response asking for photos of damage.4/12/24: Sent photos, no record of a response from them.5/1/24: Sent a follow-up email asking if they received photos on 4/12/24.5/1/24: Received a "Thank you for reaching out! Your email has been received, and you can expect to hear back from one of our team members soon". Fast forward to 5/16/25 when I sent another email regarding this issue.5/16/25: Received email stating"Due to a higher-than-usual volume of inquiries, our response times are currently a bit longer than normal. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get back to everyone with the care and attention they deserve".5/21/25: Received email asking for more photos and also to go to their website to submit a "guarantee claim form"5/31/25: I had already filled out form prior and sent more scratch test photos in this email.6/3/25: They assured me they were going to make it right, again. 6/4/25: They stating they need additional photos. I had to send 8 separate emails to encompass all of the photos for the 16 DEAD trees. 24 are thriving and healthy.6/5/25: They stated they were out of 1 year warranty after they continually asked for more photos, more documentation etc and assuring me they would take care of this. I had to drive to this property multiple times and literally take hours of work and time supplying photos.6/5/25: I responded to email 6/9/25: They stated they sent an email on 5/4/24 that I did not respond to (or receive) and sorry.6/12/25: I responded I Spoke to 6 different people regarding this. It's extremely disappointing since this process was started 4/10/24.If you purchase trees from them, just know the "Warranty" is very difficult to get honored.

We sincierly apologize that your trees perished. Unfortunatly due to the age of the order these are not covered under the One Year Warranty. We do understand how upsetting it can be to lose plants after caring for them for some time. We can provide planting and care advice as needed and have offered a discount on a future order.

I bought 30 American Pillar Arborvitae on 9/21/2024 from FastGrowingTrees.com for more than 3000 dollars. I have attached the pictures but it is almost one year and the trees have shrunken and not grown at all. I also paid 1500 dollars to the landscaper to put the trees in the ground. The trees are not of good quality. They were also in warranty period of one year which the company is not honoring. They are blaming on me that I did not take good care of trees. I put fertilizer for a month, gave water regularly and we get a lot of rain at our place. We have other trees which are thriving well in the same soil. But none of the 30 trees turned out good. I have lost 4500 dollars in total and now, I need to pay landscaper again to get them off the ground. I just want my refund of 3000 dollars.

This order was placed online on 9/21/24. We received contact in regard to activating the warranty for trees that perished on this order on 5/16/2025. Since we sell live products, we do not extend refunds outside of our delivery guarantee. We issued a store credit for the price paid for the plants under our One Year Warranty. We have attached our terms of service.

I purchased 2 plants from this company in addition to a 2 year guarantee that if the plants die they will be replaced. The company is refusing to honor the guarantee. The care instructions for the plants do not state anything about not planting them in rock landscaping and they are refusing to replace them because I have rock landscaping. The guarantee also does not say anything about not planting in rock landscaping. They are simply making up excuses to not honor the extra warranty/guarantee that I purchased.

I placed an order for a Yoshino Cherry tree on April 20, 2025. I received my order on May 1, 2025. The tree arrived dehydrated but did still have some leaves on it. I planted the tree as directed from the company. While planting the tree i noticed that the tree had almost no root system. I took a picture of this and attached it to this complaint. I prepared the planting location with a mixture of new tree/shrub soil and existing soil (50/50). I watered the new tree for 5 minutes every other day. The tree continued to dry out and the leaves eventually fell off. I contacted the company about a refund and they offered to send a new tree and require me to pay shipping. My concern is that the tree I received had no root system and I do not want a replacement that will have a similar issue. The quality of trees that are advertised by this company are not in line with the price that i paid. A $135 tree should have an established root ball and root system. You can see in the picture that i attached that this was not the case. I would just like my money back. Thank you!

On March 30, I had a delivery of a box from Fast Growing Trees that had been left on my doorstep. The box was damaged, broken open and had dirt and leaves. It was supposed to be a Takemura japanese maple and eastern redbud. I promptly went online and reported this to the company. On April 4, I received a notice from ****** at FCT that those trees were no longer available, but they would give me a credit. I explained I did not want a credit so I filed with my credit card company to dispute the charges. This dispute was turned down because *** said they had given me a credit. I don't want a credit with FGT.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/18/2025

We sincerely apologize that your trees arrived to you damaged. We received notice on 3/31 that this order arrived with the packaging upside down, branches broken and uprooted from the containers. Photos were provided showing the damage.

On 4/4 we issued a store credit for the price paid for the two trees due to the items being out of stock. The conversation was closed on 4/7 due to there being no additional concerns reported by the customer. A dispute was opened on this transaction on 4/18. When a dispute is opened the bank withdraws the funds while investigating and we are unable to assist on our end until this has been resolved.

We have reached out directly to provide additional assistance.

I have reached out to customer service many times, as my purchased Thuja Green Giant Arborvitae 6-7 ft. Tree has NOT been shipped and has NOT been refunded. This was supposed to ship in May when I purchased it. Each time they respond to my emails with a later and later delivery date with zero communication proactively with the date changes. I have explicitly said this is not acceptable multiple times and want refunded immediately.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/13/2025

We are so sorry for the delay with the Thuja Green Giant. We have processed a cancellation for this item which issued a refund in the amoint of $149.76 due to the 30% off discount that was applied to your order. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for this to reflect back to your payment method on file.

I placed an order on June 2nd for two trees - a ***** dwarf cherry and a ****** dwarf cherry. These are two SEPARATE trees, so imagine my surprise when they were delivered on June 6th and the two trees were planted in the same pot. The trees were entirely root bound and I had to soak the roots and do my best to separate the plants. Any gardener or horticulturist worth their salt will tell you that growing two trees in the same pot is inadvisable for this exact reason. Despite my best efforts, the roots on the ***** ****** tree seem to be doing poorly. Roughly 1/4 of the plant is entirely DEAD, with the damage from this improper growth and care spreading to other parts of the plant. **************** tried to tell me the following: "It's not uncommon for trees to shed a few leaves as a defense mechanism to protect their roots. Don't be alarmed as long as there's green under that top layer of bark, your tree is alive and likely to bounce back with a bit of time and care."To be clear, this is 1/4 of the plant entirely dead, which *if* it survives (and that is a big if) will impede the fruiting production of this tree and the time in which it does so. I paid $108 to have two *healthy* trees sent to me. Not two trees in the same pot, one of which is diseased and dying. I have requested a refund in the amount of the tree that is failing to thrive OR a replacement tree - in its own pot - to be sent to me to compensate for the poor practices of this company. Reviews on their website, which I discovered after my purchase, show that this has been an issue of complaint since at least 2023 and they've been entirely negligent in refusing to fix this issue. If I do not receive a refund or replacement for the damaged tree, I will be filing a chargeback with my credit card company.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/18/2025

We sincierly apologize that your cherry trees appear to be struggling after transplanting them into the ground. The ***** and ****** **** is sold in a pair and these are sent in the same container and can be separated on arrival. This should not cause a health concern with the plants however we do understand your frustration with the condition of the trees on arrival.

Since there is an open dispute on the transaction we are unable to process a replacement at this time but have reached out to follow up.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 06/18/2025

I am rejecting this response because:  I am not asking for a replacement of the trees. **************** reached out and said "We do treat them prior to shipping so this should not arrive with an active health issue however, I do understand your concern with the condition of the trees. These plants are sold in a paid in the same container and can be kept together. Unfortunatly, it looks like you have opened a dispute on this transaction, and we are unable to assist on our end until this has been resolved by the bank but please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns in the meantime.".

To be clear, customer service is refusing to give me a refund unless I cancel my chargeback because they do not want to stand by their 30 day guarantee, which is why they tried to run out the clock on this matter.  I have also told them numerous times that I will not accept a replacement, as a replacement of these trees is just going to arrive in the same poor condition.  Additionally, any reputable plant nursery will tell you that it is NOT recommended to grow two trees in the same container due to space and resource competition, nutrient and water depletion, and fungal issues due to poor ventilation and spreading space.  It is clear from this response that the merchant is trying to force me to cancel the chargeback, which I will not do, as I do not want a replacement, as offered above.  I will only accept a full refund because these trees arrived with fungal issues, die back, root bound, and unhealthy due to improper growing techniques.

Once the bank resolves the chargeback we can assist as needed. We have followed up and provided assistance but please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Ordered two Magnolia Trees from fastgrowingtrees.com and they have been in shipment for over a month so at this point they would definitely be dead. The company has not been helpful and just keeps telling me to wait for the shipment to arrive. I would like a refund and will never do business with this company again. I understand that shipping issues happen but they haven't seemed interested in correcting the issue.
