I used their site resumebuild.com to build a resume to turn in for my army recruitment officer and they had an extra fee hidden in their fine print. Witch is a clear violation of the hidden fees act here in the us. ***** was created almost specifically for this reason due to me have really severe dyslexia its really easy for me to miss fees hidden in fine print. Further more I could not cancel on my phone the cancel feature was so hidden I had to use a desktop. I emailed them requesting a refund of the ***** and they basically refused. Sending me screen captures of their fine print being highlighted.

It was most definitely not a no questions asked refund I had to email your support team over a few days and eventually make this complaint before receiving my refund even in your rebuttal where your very aggressive towards me as a costumer for just wanting my refund I was well within the 30days it should have been a simple request and I had to come here to get anything accomplished as I posted in the original evidence. If this is normal for your company I suggest a new leadership approach. I missed meals over this.

Just like other folks have said and reviews Ive read, this business (if you can call it that) is a complete scam. Once I noticed multiple transactions, different amounts, not on the same dates each month like an actual subscription, I immediately called them. Mind you I never subscribed to anything to begin with. $1 for PDF conversion turned into ****** that I cant get back. As a single mom with no gov ********** thats significant to me. When I called customer service asked for my account information which I didnt even have. I gave my name and email and asked for a cancellation and to stop charging me. They said they couldnt find me which I thought odd since they can find a way to take money from me but cant find me in their system. They told me to email support. I email support and they ask for proof to which I send them my bank statements and circled all the transactions from them. They emailed back saying that wasnt good enough and that I have to show them my paypal account ID? and other things from PayPal. I dont even have a PayPal account!!!! The one I have was from years ago that I never used and still dont use. So since I cant get them that information (because it doesnt exist) they can continue to take money from me? Im so frustrated. They wont cancel my account and I tried disputing with my bank and they said that they would try to block them from taking anything out but then said they couldnt find the merchant on their list of merchants they can block. I am so fed up and just dont know what else to do at this point besides completely leave my bank, take everything out and get a new account else where. I forgot to mention also I had lost my debit card and got another hoping that would mean they couldnt charge me anymore and somehow they are still charging me!!!!!

i tried to use this sit to print a documentfor a intoduction in may 2023 at price of $1.59 and if i did not cancel in 7 days it would be a ***** charged. i canceled the same day. aweek later they charged me anyway.i called and they refunded the first tiime. aweek later the charged me again.*****.they refunded. now i just checked my account and realized they randomly charged me in july skipped august and just randomly charged me again in on sept 5.they are slow stealing from me like any other scam.

I used WORKSimpli's PDFSimpli service on 6/1/23. I only needed a one-time service. Cost was $1.95, charged to my credit card in 2 separate charges. I went there because their ad popped first on my search for PDF converters, with FREE in the ad. I've uploaded their ad. When I was on the site, they required a credit card and charged. I wanted to get it done and figured $2 to do so was ok, although misleading. I saw the notice for their egregious monthly subscription charge where WORKSimpli or PDFSimpli automatically starts charging my credit card. I cancelled when I finished my effort. I would never want this. This is unreasonable charging; the people that invented PDF only charge ~$15/month. I don't know why anyone would ever pay this subscription charge knowingly. On 6/16, 7/14 and 8/11, WORKSimpli charged my account $39.95 anyway, for $119.85 total for a service I never asked for, never wanted and never used. I noticed the charges on 8/26, requested in writing they cancel immediately rather than me doing it on the account again, and requested refund for the 3 months that I never used the service. They provided email reply 8/26 that they cancelled my account and provided a refund yesterday, 8/27, for one month, $39.95. I requested again that they provide me the $79.90 for the other 2 months. They in so many words said no. Since they advertise they are a BBB accredited business, I'm again requesting a refund, through the BBB this time.

I am rejecting this response because:After trial period expires, you just default to a multi user and costly subscription and make it difficult for people to select a cheaper monthly subscriptions. If you are fair in practices, why would you default to multi user subscription when I have enabled single userid ( I am sure, you can see in the signup and usage that single IP or single location use was done during trial period). You should refund subscriptions charged for other months.

I was reviewing my bank account and noticed I was charged $39.95 on August 8th from PDFSIMPLI. I was confused because Ive never used or seen this site before. I kept going further and noticed that I was also charged $1 and .95 on July 10 which I was unaware of. I attempted to contact support but a rude agent told me its not their problem after I expressed to her that I dont have an account so the charges couldnt be accurate. I have never received emails from this company or anything so Im thinking its fraud. The rude agent barely wanted to cancel the fake account and hung up before even telling me if it was canceled. She even tried to tell me my email was ********************** even though I have never had an email with that name. Hard to believe the business is accredited. I want the account I didnt make CANCELED and I want a REFUND for August and July.

The original transaction was on 11/1/2022 which was for a PDF editing application that was web based and a subscription service. I used it at work and for 1 document. After completed I canceled the subscription so I should have only had the initial charges and maybe 1 month at most since I discontinued and no longer used the product.Charges continued to go on until June 2023 of $39.95 with 2 charges that were actually charged in May. I am not sure why I was double charged in a month even if I had an active subscription. I have tried using my email and my phone number to login to my account, but it would not pull up any account. I finally had the company cancel my credit card and they told me, "You will not be charged any fees for the use of PDFSimpli." which was great, so I was expecting all the charges to be reversed but now they are backtracking and are only refunding 1 month.The send me 4 files that were used with the software which was great. The 1st file is the one I used and edited. The 2nd one is not mine and some lease/rental contract. The last 2 files are for another employee at the dealership it looks like with their name on it! So, it shows the account was probably on the work computer and my CC information saved on there. So, with this information I am waiting on a reply from them but last response they sent me a copy of their terms and conditions and are already backtracking from what they already told me about refunding me.

I am rejecting this response because: When I called support, they clearly said they were going to cancel my account and I would not be charged any fees for the use of the program. Their email that they sent confirmed the same thing as well. This email was sent by 2 different people, so I am not sure what changed. "Thank you for using PDFSimpli. We appreciate your business and value you as a customer. Per your request, we are issuing you a refund and your account was closed. You will not be charged any fees for the use of PDFSimpli." I offered to pay for 1 month during this phone call because I told the customer service person that I did use the program for 1 document, and they were insistent that it was no problem and that my fees will all be refunded back to me. This was your company that promised this and I even offered to pay for 1 month when I used this program. Also, when you sent me the documents that were used with the program you could clearly see the everything except the 1st document was NOT mine. It had a different name on it. Even in the event of fraud where it was not me using the application you will still leave me no opportunity to just refund me charges that were not even by myself.

This does not make any sense. I made the initial purchase, but then someone else used my card. It was loaded on a work computer and their documents that provided which they show were edited had another person's name on them and were not completed by me. Since they used my computer, they reactivated my account, and these charges should be fraud. Not only that but when I called, I was told that all the charges would be refunded, and I offered and insisted on paying the 1 month I actually used the services. I send the email copy which shows exactly that same promise that I was emailed saying they would refund me for using their program. It was fraud from whoever used my computer after me you can see the name on the document, and I was already told the payments would be refunded. This is a scam and should not be acceptable. They did not make a good faith refund and they have been a pain to work with after their initial customer service and have been impossible to reach.

Unfortunately we do not have a one time deal as you mentioned. We send emails to our customer for initial subscriptions with the terms and agreement they accepted. We never mention we will send you additional emails. The charges made where authorized once you accepted the terms and conditions. They account was not canceled on time and entered our base subscription option. We issued a refund for the charges made within our refund policy. We went above and beyond and refunded you a second charge. This is the most we can do. You should see your refund within 5-7 business days.
