I paid a holding deposit for an apartment ******************* in Richmond, VA. I did not get the apartment and have been calling for my refund of $100. This has been going on since June 6, 2023 to current. The manage called and stated it will be expedited and no check. I call and manager is not available. I originally contacted the ********* Townhomes 2 location which is an AION Managment company. My original complaint was that our kitchen sink lost water pressure (not enough water coming out to do dishes in the sink) and cause our dishwasher to not function. Maintenance had come to look at the situation his name is ***** and said that he would be able to come the next day to fix the problem. He came the next day and realized our piping is soldered together and would have to replace the entire thing. He did however fix the pressure enough to run my dishwasher but was told not to drink the water from the sink. Weeks went by so i contacted the office and was told that ***** no longer works for the company and that someone would be out to take pictures of my sink that day. No one came that day but ***** did personally call me angry and said that he never said that he was replacing our entire sink. I called a week later and explained that 1.) why did the maintenance person personally call me, and 2.) They had told me he didn't work for them anymore..so was i lied to? Several more weeks went by and now our toilet has stopped flushing. I called and said that I need these problems resolved because I am currently having to stick my hand in the back of my toilet which all the parts are rusty. I explained how upset I am that it has been over a month and my kitchen sink has still not been fixed. I then said about how I am paying too much for this apartment to be living like this. Our buildings exterior doors do not function properly, and our facility is not cleaned regularly, and that the man and woman that live underneath of us have had a hole in their ceiling for a year without it being fixed( water leaked into their apartment). I Told her that if these problems are not addressed I would be taking this to BBB. She explained that they don't have enough maintenance people..I said that is not a tenant problem that's a you problem. Well it has been over one week and nothing has been done.Initial Complaint

am going to update this post each and every day until I receive the money I entrusted with them back to me. Again another day has passed and these people still have not returned my money to me. Today is 9/11/23 and It has been over a month and a week and these people still have my money ??AION Management/******* ******** is a disgusting and disgraceful property management. It sickens me how I got myself tangled in a web with a devilish businesses like this. Unfortunately, too many corporation's like this exist and will continue to expand like infected parasites sucking the souls of innocent people who are only guilty of trusting someone when they are at their lowest point. AION Management and their property employees are dishonest, manipulative, irresponsible, and disrespectful. I have been lied too and disrespected by this group of corporate and low life savages. A persons individual struggles and application denial is not an excuse for an office staff and corporation to mistreat someone with lies and avoidance. I beg anyone who is reading this please think twice or three times before trusting them and applying for an apartment. They do not care about you or your family and they are thieves. This is the truth. If you trust them and then you call there number for support here is what will happen. "you will get a third-party employee from overseas who's trained to say "I'm sorry and I understand and then ask for your name, email address, phone number, provides you a useless confirmation number and then says someone will call you back within 24-48 hours but no one ever does. And if you decide to write a review with concerns you will receive back a generic email like this "It is disappointing for us to hear that this has been your experience. We would like the opportunity to resolve any issues you were having and discuss any concerns you have. Please give us a call to schedule a time to talk about and assess the situation in more detail with a member of our management team. Thank you kindly." And the number you are provided sends you back to the same third party employee. please don't take my word for it only .. feel free to see for yourself the reviews prior to mine and the destruction these people cause. please pray for me I get back the money this company owes me. Recently, I and my entire 10-floor apartment building (I would estimate ~200-250 residents) were left without hot water for nearly a week, including the entirety of Labor Day weekend due to building management's failure to respond appropriately despite awareness of the issue. - On Wed, Aug 30th, at 12:03 PM, ******** ** mgmt emailed the building stating, “It has been brought to our attention that there is no hot water in the community", indicating awareness of an issue no later than this time. - This message indicated that they expected the issue to be resolved within the hour. No further communication was made. - The issue continued. I can personally attest that I was forced to take uncomfortable showers and refused to wash dishes given the water temperatures I was experiencing. - On Sat, 9/2, I spoke in person with a Leasing Mgr, who indicated they had received further reports of issues with hot water on 9/1, and that the initial investigation had been conducted by building maintenance and determined no issue after testing water in a vacant unit. - I submitted an emergency ticket on Sun, 9/3, and was contacted by maintenance, who said a technician had been on site the day before and could not get the part they needed until after the holiday. - Building mgmt finally sent a second email on Sun, 9/3 indicating they were aware of an issue with hot water and relaying the above re: a missing part. Early on (I would say approx. Wed, Aug. 30th and Fri, Sept. 1) a small amount of hot water did dispense, but it was clear that there was an issue and it was not at a temperature that was comfortable or safe for washing. I spent several days boiling water to bathe or showering at friends' homes. Building mgmt should have had a technician on site on Wed, Aug. 30th when the initial issue was acknowledged. They could have received the part and fixed the issue before the weekend. Mgmt failed to do so and instead took time off for the holiday weekend (starting Friday, 9/1).Initial Complaint

I applied to the ******** ***** Apartment ( Aion Management) in February 2023. There was a $200.00 holding fee due at the time of the application. I was denied a few days later. The holding fee was supposed to reverse back on my card within 7-10 days. It’s been 6 months almost 7 months later and I still haven’t received my holding fee. I’ve called corporate countless times over the months to make complaints. I’ve even gone up to the rental office. At this point this company is refusing to refund me. They don’t even have the decency to call me back. They have ignored my complaints for over 6 months. I hope this gets in the hands of someone who can refund what is RIGHTFULLY OWED TO ME. In February I applied for an apartment with aion management at river point townhomes in bethlehem PA a lease was signed february 4th for a move in date in April. Prior to the move in they contacted me to explain that the current tenant extended their stay and would not be moving that they could put me in another unit but it would be more expensive I declined and they said they would be refunding my 200 dollar reservation fee that was holding the apartment for me. Ever since I have contacted them multiple times to follow up on my refund and they continually give me the run around about how the money got stuck in their old system and they did an update and cant access it. Then they will tell me they sent a check and none ever arrives. I feel like they have essentially stolen my 200 dollars at this point and hope that I will just give up but i refuse to.Initial Complaint

I have lived at the ********** at Arlington property owned by AION Management. The air conditioning broke on May 12, 2023 due to a broken boiler. The property manager assured us that as soon as the cost was approved by corporate that the issue would be fixed. Since then, the property manager has quit and the office is no longer answering phone calls. You have to physically walk to the building and speak with the leasing assistant who cannot actually do anything. The temperature outside has been above 90 degrees for several days and on June 24, 2023 the property provided each apartment with 1 temporary air conditions unit. The units leak all other the carpet and only cool a small corner of the room. Further there are 2 of us in my apartment but the cooling unit can only be in one room. I have called AION management directly every day for the last week and have yet to receive even an acknowledgement of my complaint.Initial Complaint

I canceled my application, and they advised 14-30 days for my refund of $200. Then they said another 30-45 days. I asked for their corporate phone number and they gave me a number to a call center which resulted in me being advised to contact the property again. This has been an ongoing issue, and I've missed time from work due to anxiety, and I am under stress from this situation.Customer Answer

I was a tenant at one of their Belleville NJ properties They closed rental portal so I couldn't pay one month's rent back in 2019. They wanted to evict me to raise rent and I went to court and won but I had already moved due to harassment. They sent maintenance men to my apartment when I wasn't home when my young teen daughter was home alone. They have been sending me threatening letters ever since and I have moved 3 times since 2019. They find out each i move and threaten me. One is very recent July 10 2023. I now live in PA. Stating I am seen at their properties which is a lie. They threaten me with trespassing and other charges. I feel management is stalking and harassing an X tenant ant that goes against code of ethics and more.Initial Complaint

It has been 2 month since I moved out of my apartment. During the inspection I was told that I took great care of the apartment. I have contacted aion management group in every way I found. No one has been able to help me and I have not received my deposit. At this point u have also contacted a lawyer.
