I lived at The View North Hills located in **********, **. This apartment complex is managed b AION Management. I lived there 12/1/21 - 3/10/23. It was the worst year of my life. I have been moved out of that apartment complex for almost a year now and they are telling me I owe $68 for my water and sewage bill. However, I have documentation stating that my lease agreement was a fixed amount of rent. My rent included cable, asset protection, water/sewage, trash, and the monthly rent. In march when I moved out, I paid that fixed amount for how many days I was living there. I moved out 03/10/2023, so I paid for 10 days that month which equaled $358.02 because my monthly rent was $1099 (which included everything listed above). I listed a few documents that I also sent over via email to the property in **********, The View. I tried to attach a copy of my lease, but the file is too big.

My roommate and I moved out of the ***************** (Aion management) in *********, ** in February of 2023. We were told we would receive our security deposit back, but we still have not almost a year later. From looking online and discussing with former neighbors, this is a common occurrence.I spoke with a company representative numerous times and have been promised over and over the check was on its way. They owe us nearly $2.5k.The excuses from them are getting ridiculous, and thats only when I can reach someone! Last time I called I was told the woman helping me prior was no longer with the company. I was not, however, provided with a solution or new point of contact.I would like to get our money back, but at the very least I want to see this management company held accountable for their actions

They are a fraudulent business, putting people in apartments with no heat, leaks, and holes in their walls and do nothing to address it.

Good afternoon my name is ******** ********** I’m a former tenant at ******** of *********, **** **** ****** ***, Norfolk, VA. ***** from 11/30/2019 to 03/14/2022. My address at that time was **** **** ****** ***, Apt ****, Norfolk, VA. ***** and the reason I left was due to rat infestation within the last few months at the residence. They was lack of help from leasing agents and the property manager which cause me to reach out to the management company and I’m prompted to reach out again because I have called numerous times and as usual no answer, I went by the location on Saturday 11/18/2023, which is 20 miles from my current residence since I haven’t been successful by phone with the 5 numbers they have listed online, and no one was at the office and their suppose to be open. I am waiting on a rental verification from them that was sent a few days ago from ********* ***** apartments in Hampton, VA (a potential new residency) by email. They’re still awaiting the verification and can’t proceed until they receive it so I need them to return asap because of previous experience I have to go to great lengths to get anything resolved with ******** of *********.

I moved into my apartment and signed my lease on 5/8/23. My lease was a 6 month lease and my move out date was 11/7/23. Over the course of the 6 months that I lived in the apartment, I had countless issues that I brought to the attention to the leasing staff on multiple occasions that never got resolved. When it came time to move out. I made attempts to email and call the office and never got any response. Finally when I went into the office they made it seem like my lease was not ending in November and that it was actually extended for another year. I was never contacted about resigning my lease or extending it. I was told to fill out a form with a notice of intent to vacate on 10/9/23. On 10/11/23 I went back into the leasing office and spoke with the property manager, ****** ****. She insisted that I was not able to move out until August of 2024 and was not concerned with any of the other problems I was having. She began to get really upset and started yelling at me and eventually kicked me out of the leasing office and told me I was not allowed to come back and that I needed a lawyer to contact their attorney. I went back into the leasing office on 10/12/23 and spoke with ****** ********** who told me that I was set to move out on 11/07 and all I needed to do was pay my balance of $195.53 for the one week in November. She said that my account just needed to be adjusted and that I would just need to come back in a week later to get the correct numbers/form. I went back in 2 weeks later and spoke with ******** ******** who told me the same thing. My account needed to be corrected please come back on Thursday. I went back on Thursday and was confronted and yelled at again by ****** ****. I turned my keys in and provided my mailing address. I am now getting notices that they will be filing for eviction and charge me more money even though I have already moved out. No one seems to know what is correct and I keep getting different answers from everyone I speak to.

I am a newer tenant at ******************** apartments. The leasing agent that i was working with was newer as well and didnt communicate everything that she should have. For example: it was stated that i will only be responsible for Gas & electricity, however when signing the lease agreement it shows gas, water, electric, pest control, amenities, etc. However my biggest issue is i was told that once i received my Veh Registration to provide it to the office staff, i went inside of the office to provide the documents, however because the office only has one employee scheduled to work on saturdays when i told her what i was there for she stated "you can email it to the attention of your leasing agent' my veh was later towed by the apartments tow company because of the agents negligence to take my matter in office and provide me with a sticker that no one ever mentioned i needed, the leasing agreement says we will get tags or stickers and i was given VISITOR tags, not tenant stickers . I had to pay out of pocket and the manager will not reimburse me for my troubles being that this blame falls on them, She strictly keeps stating i was supposed to come in office and she will not roll the cameras back to see proof that i came inside. And not to mention my other vehicle was broken into on the property.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I applied for an apartment back in May at The Addition (in North Wales, PA), paying $255 for the application and deposit. I never received a response as to whether or not my application was approved, which caused me to have an extremely stressful moving experience. And I have been fighting with the leasing office trying to get my money back. This is honestly ridiculous, I have done everything in my power to give them time to provide me with a refund for the application I have submitted. I have spent money on gas, to speak with someone on property several times, as I am unable to reach anyone by phone, and have been told that the refund will be processed promptly. Their severe lack of communication and unwillingness to show any sympathetic hospitality, creates a very poor reflection on the organization. *********, the staff member I was working with, failed to respond to countless email and phone calls that spanned over a significant amount of time. I have been treated the same way by *********, who is supposedly a manager in the leasing office Although I found another apartment, this incident caused my moving experience to be more stressful and time consuming, as I had to find a new apartment at the last minute due to the organization's lack of response.

On May 19th, 2023, I paid a total of $102.95 to complete an application fee towards an apartment at Silverlake Belleville for myself and my roommate. After sending in the necessary paperwork for the both of us (proof of income, credit check, etc), the "approved" notice was received, and a payment of $773.25 was made on May 24th, 2023 as a form of down deposit. A lease was promised to be sent out prior to the June 19th, 2023 intended move-in date but, to my dismay, a phone call was received and we were alerted that we were not "approved", although the website stated otherwise. We were advised that a refund would be sent out, though this never occurred. Fast forward to the month of August, I contacted the place of business and failed to receive a proper response in regards to when the refund would be received. I was finally able to get in contact with a worker, *****, who took my information down (my name and mailing address), and promised that I would receive the refund. It is currently October 2nd, and I have yet to receive a refund of any sort, and each time that I contact the business, my information is collected and I am continuously promised that the check will be sent out but yet, I have yet to receive anything. I believe that this is an unfair business practice, being that we were encouraged to apply for the apartment after touring and explaining what our income and credit scores were at the time, in which we were met with reassurance that we would be approved by a worker named ****. I would like to receive my refund of both the application fee, and the down deposit that was paid, since I felt that this was another attempt by an apartment to scam individuals out of application fees and down deposits.

I applied for ************ Apartments in Baltimore MD on September 14, 2023. The application fee was $230. $30 for the application and $200 to hold the apartment if approved. The $200 is refundable if you are denied for the apartment. I called the leasing office on 9/18/2023 after not receiving an email or call about my application to find out the status. **** informed me that my application was denied and that I would receive my $200 hold fee back within 2 weeks. It has been three weeks and I still have not received my money. I have visited the leasing office in person and opened up multiple cases with AIONs upper management to get my funds. This company has robbed me of my refundable upon denial hold fee. Please help.

I applied to move into a property in Columbus, Ohio known as The *********************, which I could not find on the BBB website, in July.. I believe that I was verbally told by one of the leasing staff that the unit I had toured would be the same as the one that I would apply to. I was then told that the unit I had applied to was actually not available for immediate move-in, but they had an identical one on the same floor and building that I wanted to move into. However, when I was accepted and went to take a look at the exact unit that I was to move into, the kitchen was much smaller. I expressed my displeasure and was told the kitchen that I had looked at was an upgraded kitchen and the unit that I had applied for was not an upgraded kitchen unit. I asked them to hold the unit for one more day while I consider moving into the unit. When I arrived the next day to confirm that I would move in, they told me that they had moved someone else into the unit, which would be a violation of the terms of the hold fee that I paid, which was justified by covering any potential losses of taking the unit off of the market. Communication with the apartment was difficult to maintain, as they would often not answer the phone and call back with limited availability while I was busy working. I declined to move into a unit due to this business practice and called the Aion Corporate line. They had promised to reach out multiple times and over a month later, I have not heard from them, despite calling multiple times. I would like all of my money refunded that I lost from applying, since they could not get me a unit in the promised manner and falsely advertised available units. I had paid with a credit card and had not yet reached out to them about the issue.
