After the hard sell we accepted the offer to replace all windows and 1 bay window in our home. 8/22 windows were installed, after inspection we noticed several windows did not fit properly (poor pre-install measurements by Power). 2-3 windows with bad inner rubber seals (2 actually ripped) the quality of the manufacture was poor to say the least. Several (6) windows had ripped screens, again manufacture not allowing enough overlap to prevent screening coming off/out of rubber gasket. 3 windows do not lock/seal properly. 2 windows have screws that hold the locking mechanism missing or fell out. Chips of paint on one (the bay window) on inside of home. Many many issues but the biggest issue no communication from PWCS. We were contacted 1x about addressing our concerns, told to take photos(did next day after install).Power sent rep out to house and he agreed on all issues. Order was placed 9/22 and date set for install/repair. I understand the backlog of the supply chain, PW acknowledged this and added two additional week for manufacture to complete. 10/22 Power no show no call. I called them again Rescheduled for 11/8/22 Election Day 8am, no show I called them they apologized and rescheduled for 11/27/22, then we were told could not do that date, due to crew not having ability to address all concerns and new date would be 1/9/23. BS. Financial Institution has been contacted. Don’t let these hard sell people on your property. Hindsight 20/20 I would have went with another company. Very disappointed with the lack of communication/ customer service, not to mention quality of their product. Quality Control needs a serious looking at, especially at 23 grand. Contract # ********. Photos attached are partially what was sent to several Power Window Philly office personnel and Financial Institution. Waiting on reply, they have my contact information.

      Good morning,

A Power representative was on-site at the home on 12/8/2022 and replaced the master bathroom window sashes, the guest bedroom window sash, and the garage window sash.  Power's representative also re-screened seven screens and identified two additional window sashes that need to be replaced.

An order for the remaining window sashes has been placed with Power's window manufacturer and Power will be back in contact with you to schedule their replacement as soon as they are manufactured and delivered.

Critical: Quality, Responsiveness Had a team here this morning to replace 7 windows. Extremely bad service. Nobody spoke English so as I'm trying to express my concerns and have them addressed they just keep apologizing and telling me they don't speak English. Call to get a install supervisor and get thrown into a perpetual hold time and time again. Finally a supervisor picks up and tells me a window coordinator will call me back. Phone rings, I answer, and they hang up. Start the calling process again so that condescending people can make it very clear that they don't care how upset you are that your property has been damaged. 3 landscape lights smashed flat, trim damaged and glued back together with silicone, wall scraped in 2 places. They didn't wear covers over their work boots as we were told, they didn't tell me they were going to start throwing things out of my second story windows to make sure my dogs or myself wouldn't get hurt. This was a terrible job start to finish and getting a supervisor to address it apparently will never happen even though evertime they transfer me they say there's no wait

Ever since putting in my windows and doors over a year ago and having problems with their warranty work and unreliable service. They make appointments only to have to reschedule them, after paying for the windows and doors you don’t mean crap to them because they already have your money. So far I’ve had screens that were coming apart from the windows and French doors that won’t lock correctly and blinds in the French doors that the mechanism broke leaving the blinds hard to work. Talking to customer service is a big waste of time the only thing that they do is blow smoke up your butt with their excuses and telling you that they will try to get your appointment rescheduled sooner which I know is a bunch of crap

I had windows, siding, and gutters done by Power. My big front window, within 6 months, had lost its seal and it looked like mold was growing between the panes where you could not clean. I was told it was not mold and they would be replacing the window. This December will be two years. They replaced it once with a scratched window and said they'd be back to replace it as soon as it came in. Well, today was supposed to be my appointment. I got a call at 7:45am telling me they guy was at the warehouse to pick it up but the window was not there! They have to re-order it. Of course!!! In the two years that I have been waiting for my window, three other houses in my neighborhood which are the same model as mine got their windows replaced by Power. I guess they figured I already paid so I could wait. Oh and the crappy gutters they used continually go flat and water runs right off of them. Additionally, this company doesn't answer the phone or hangs up immediately.

The replacement window sash for your home has not been manufactured or delivered to Power's local installation office in Long Island, which is why Power has been unable to perform the service at your home.  Unfortunately, Power's window manufacturer is still dealing with raw material shortages, labor shortages and logistical constraints that make manufacturing lead times both extended and rather unpredictable.  At this time, a Power representative has rescheduled your service appointment to a later date and time in the hopes that the replacement window sash for your home is completed and delivered by then.

We look forward to having the window concerns at your home resolved for you as soon as we can.

We purchase new windows from Power Home Remodeling Group on 11/12/2021. After COVID supply delays the windows were installed on May 02, 2022. However I was not told until after the windows were all installed that two windows were the wrong size and the would need to re-order. At that time, I was clearly told that we would not be billed until the projected was complete. On September 12, 2022 they came to install the two final windows but again had the wrong windows. On 10/04/2022, ******** (lending company) paid Power Home Remodeling Group in full and stated that Power Home Remodeling had submitted a completion of project document. I have made weekly calls since then and cannot get any install date. In fact, in most cases they show the project is complete and have to put me on hold to figure out what is going on. They final come back and agree the project is not complete but cannot promise any install date or confirm they have even ordered the remaining two windows from the manufacturer. At this point I have paid in full Power Home Remodeling and have zero insurance our project will ever be completed. They have never called to provide any update, all communication has been one way. I am considering hiring a lawyer as I feel 100% violated by this company.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: My complain was about the two architectural windows (Quarter Arch with Extended Legs # ***-* (F/C)) that I have paid for but have not been installed.  While a window sash was replaced on 12/15, I have not received any update on the two architectural windows.  It would be nice if the company would provide updates but it seems they do not value keeping them updated on delays.   Please keep this complain updated until either the windows are installed.

At this point I simple feel like an idiot for choosing this horrible company.  I did check their BBB rating and based on my exeperiance have no idea how they could possible have ever earned a A+ rating.  I am just comply lost and feel stupid for having chosen them.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, I have zero faith in the resolution but will allow this case to be closed.  The company has not contacted me at all about the installation of my two missing windows.  If they fail to install the windows on 02/24/2023 I will open a new case.  I still do not see how a company with such poor service and customer support can have such a high rating by the BBB.  I would personal rate then a zero.

I filed a warranty request with Power Home Remodeling for a replacement of windows due to mold development inside the windows that were installed. A representative came in and approved the order and I formed us that there could be some back order and it could take up to a year for the product to come in. I received no receipt or follow up information. I had to call to confirm that they did in fact put the request through. I contacted the company after a year later and they can confirm the order but are not able to provide any information outside of that. I have called on two other occasions and they repeat the script to me. In the last call the representative said it should take no more than 15 months. When I alerted her I was exactly at that mark, she once again repeated the script. I'm beginning to believe that their warranty was a scam and although they continue to take on more business and installs they do not have intentions to honor the highly priced lifetime warranty to fix their defective windows. I need assistance in finding a resolution. I have included a picture of the mold that is inside the two panels therefore unable to be cleaned or removed by us. That is only one of the four windows with this issue.

      Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.

The replacement window sash order for your home was placed with our manufacturer and we are still waiting for the order to be completed and delivered.  Unfortunately, because of raw material shortages, labor shortages and logistical constraints that both our manufacturer and their suppliers are experiencing, lead times on manufactured parts have extended beyond what we are typically accustom to.  Furthermore, these lead times are rarely consistent and can make predicting completion dates for a particular order very difficult.  It is for these reasons that the order for the replacement sash is taking so long to arrive at our local installation office in Philadelphia.  While we continue to work diligently with all of our manufacturing partners to reduce lead times on manufactured goods as much as possible, we must in the meantime follow the current best guidance that Power is provided on expected lead times.

At the present time your order is scheduled to be delivered to our local office in Philadelphia later this winter.  As soon as your order is delivered, a Power representative will be in touch with you to schedule the replacement.  We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue with the windows in your home.

Power's dumpster hauler returned to the home to pick up the dumpster, however a car was blocking the dumpster and it could not be removed.  When hauler knocked on the door there was no answer so it was assumed no one was home.  A Power representative has been in contact with you since then and the dumpster is scheduled to be removed today, 11/10/2022.  Additionally, during this same telephone conversation a service was scheduled for a Power Installation Manager to return to the home to address the concern with the ventilation fan.

Basically, I am paying him more money than the average estimate for siding because they claimed that they were professionals that respected their clients property. From the start, they broke several things including a screen on a window and knocked down a rock wall. Then they ran out of material and left the front of of the house undone. The day they left, they only picked up the big debris but left tons of nails and pieces of insulation laying around They even knocked parts of our rock wall in the driveway down. We have small dogs and children and we asked them to at least keep the back gates closed but they didn't. Thank God we are both retired as we had to monitor them all the time. Two weeks later a lady calls at 4:30 to say that they would be working again after they pick up the materials tomorrow. So we cancelled our plans and they never showed up and no communication from them. They did say that we would be compensated for the damages but they expect payment today Nov 4 . We get awakened before 8am this morning by the dumpster company to move our car. Still no communication from the company. This is not what I call professional at all and I think that they should be reprimanded and perhaps even pay a penalty for false advertising. BTW, an agent has not even come to assess the damage , even though we sent pictures.

On 02 November 2022 we had a representative out to review remodeling considerations. We were advised and have the paperwork relating we can cancel within 72 hours of the contract. Today, less than 24 hours after our appointment, I called to Cancel. I called the ###-###-#### Corporate number, went through the phone tree, and ultimately talked to a person answering the phone and I related I wanted to Cancel. He looked up my name and address reviewing that with me. After a time on hold, he came back, apologized for keeping me waiting, and said he was transferring me over to "Pete", who would help me. "Pete" was a voice mailbox. I left the information to Cancel including my "Project Number". I didn't get a call back. I came home and looked at the business card the representative made sure we had in our paperwork with her name "Kady ...", telephone number: ###-###-####; It is the same phone tree as the "###-###-####" corporate number. At this time, another person answered the phone. She identified me through my phone number and relates that "Pete" is gone for the day and that he will contact us tomorrow morning: 04 November 2022. I asked for a confirmation number that my "Project" is canceled. She relates that "Pete" has that and will follow up 04 November 2022. I was not directed to any other local resource. Kady's business card, identifying her position as "Human Being", does not have a mailbox number or Party's Extension. I cannot contact the salesperson: "Kady ..." to give her the Cancelation as is the option. We will sign the forms and send to the Corporate Office, and I will Fax the Cancelation to ###-###-#### on 04 November 2022. It is a concern that consumers attempting to follow Canceling Guidelines are not assured the Seller would acknowledge receipt "by midnight" if sent by mail. Should this Project be successfully canceled as per the agreement and a confirmation secured, I will gladly post that update with appreciation to the BBB.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

      Better Business Bureau:

Power does not provide reasonable access to Cancel. Power writes extensive written responsibilities of the buyer, including additional fees if Power does not "receive" cancelation notice by midnight of the third day.  A written cancelation notice was requested for my records when I finally got in contact with them, and that cancelation confirmation never was received from Power. The "Business Card" provides no prompt to cancel with the Sales Representative.  The written notice is seen through BBB.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ******** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I am appreciative of the BBB assistance for the consumer.

      Regards,

We declined any business with this company and yet they continue to repeatedly call to the point of harassment, same as so many others and appears to be their norm. I want to NOT be contacted by phone, email, US mail or in person (at our door) ever. Please remove us from any and all contact methods.
