Same as complaint dated 6/23/2022. On 10/5 knocked on my door. Misleading about having to lock into quote or sales price goes up. Asked to have day to think about it. Answer was "No", which is misleading based on note written on initial sales material. "No Obligation, Free Quote for the Future." Salesman was at my house for hours. Felt pressured to sign or he'd stay longer and keep trying. Verbally cancelled via phone on 11/5. Was told it would require an appointment for papers to be signed. Consultant called me on 11/14 (appointment time) and told me it wasn't that easy to cancel. I should just do it, my windows are bad, would owe them money anyway and could ruin my credit score because he had my SSN. I have a screen shot confirming nothing sent to manufacturer yet. I had canceled pre-install appointment so therefore there were no measurements to send. I was bullied by a very rude and unprofessional "consultant". In good faith I did ask him to send me an itemized bill of the charges but he shot that down with just do the windows. I do not want to work with this company.Business Response

Power representatives have been in contact with you with regard to the window project you agreed to on 10/5/2022. We had our entire house sided by Power Home Remodeling (PHR) in November, 2019 for approximately $48,000. After a year or so, we noticed that the seams between the panels of the siding where each panel butted up to the next panel started to buckle and we saw bulges at the seams. I contacted PHR's warrenty department and they sent a representative out in the fall of 2020 and he inspected the siding and felt the siding should be replaced, but they needed their vendor to inspect and approve this. Because of the ongoing pandemic, he thought it could be months before it was resolved which I thought was reasonable at that time. I received no contact from any vendor or PHR for over a year during which I called PHR Warranty several times. One phone rep told me, there was an outstanding "ticket" for this issue. Another phone rep was very beligerant and told me as long as there were no leaks or house damage, I would have to wait. I contacted them again this year in June with an additional problem of sagging in some of the panels. That rep, first name *****, told me I would be contacted about installing some type of window covering near the sagging and that he and his boss would contact their vendor for the original buckling issue. ***** gave me his phone number as well. I contacted him three times via text for a status and the response there was no change. I was never contacted about the window covering. No one from PHR has ever initiated contact with me during this entire process. I want the paneling repaired or replaced or I want to be reimbursed. Please see the attached photos of my house.Business Response

Power has initiated a warranty claim with the manufacturer of the siding on your behalf. Ultimately, the manufacturer of the siding, who the product warranty is provided by, will determine how the siding concerns on the home will be resolved. In the meantime, Power's Installation Manager who was on-site in July requested of you to have a protective film or coating on the bay window that is causing the solar reflection and that once this is completed, to contact Power so that the repairs could take place. The repairs can not take place until the source of the reflection, the glass in the center section of the bay window, is resolved.
If the solar film or coating has been applied to the bay window and you are ready to proceed with the repair or replacement of the siding on the home, please contact Power's Warranty Service department at the phone number below and a representative would be happy to assist you further.

I am rejecting this response because:This is the same response your warranty team has given me FOR OVER TWO YEARS! This is totally unacceptable. I paid POWER over $48,000 for this and you haven't told me anything new since I originally made a warranty claim in that time. You've made your problem with your manufacturer my problem. Asking me to be patient in 2020 because of the pandemic was reasonable. The fact that you can't get your manufacter to look at the issue in two years speaks volumes to your committment, or inablility. to doing quality work and backing it up. I'm demanding you take action immediatly and fix this problem, I'm long past being patient.
Second, your warranty representative who visited me in July was supposed email information regarding the window screen to prevent the siding sagging issue. In the email he was supposed to provide me instructions as to the product I should purchase and options for installing it. I've received no information from anyone from your firm as to how to move forward with this. Once again, no follow up on your part.

Good morning,
Power does not sell or install protective coatings to be applied to Power's windows or any other and would not be the best resource for information regarding the proper window coating for your application. A company that specializes in the installation or production of such a product would be your best resource.
Once the reflection issue has been resolved, please reach out to Power's Warranty Service department and a representative would be happy to assist with the replacement of the effected siding.

Power home remodeling group put windows in my house in the year 2019 or 2020. There are three windows with the cost ranging somewhere between 10 and 12,000. The largest window being replaced was the bay window in my house and therefore it was the most expensive window. Power home remodeling group offers a 50 year warranty which was a huge selling point for me. In January of 2021 I noticed that the pain on the large bay window had separated and the window was completely frosted up. I notified power home remodeling group and was given the date of July 2021 when the repair would be made. Nobody came to make said repair and I was never contacted to cancel or reschedule this repair. After realizing that my appointment had come and gone I called power home remodeling several times and have gotten nothing but the runaround it is now November of 2022 and I've been supposed to receive several calls from managers on several different occasions and have never received a single call from power home remodeling group. I don't know what use this 50 year warranty is if I can't get them to ever come out and fix the problem I'm having. I just want my window fixed so that it's not costing me so much extra money to heat and cool my house which was another selling point of these windows that I'm not enjoying the benefit of.Business Response

The replacement window sash order for your home was placed with our manufacturer and we are still waiting for the order to be completed and delivered. Unfortunately, because of raw material shortages, labor shortages and logistical constraints that both our manufacturer and their suppliers are experiencing, lead times on manufactured parts have extended beyond what we are typically accustom to. Furthermore, these lead times are rarely consistent and can make predicting completion dates for a particular order very difficult. It is for these reasons that the order for the replacement sash is taking so long to arrive at our local installation office in Philadelphia. While we continue to work diligently with all of our manufacturing partners to reduce lead times on manufactured goods as much as possible, we must in the meantime follow the current best guidance that Power is provided on expected lead times.
At the present time your order is scheduled to be delivered to our local office in Philadelphia later this year. As soon as your order is delivered, a Power representative will be in touch with you to schedule the replacement. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue with the windows in your home.

I purchased windows from the company promising to obtained a product that was going to protect my home from the environment, windows that were going to maintain my home warm in the winter, would prevent me from having to cover my window with plastic to keep cold out. The company promised to deliver a high quality product and is charging a lot of money for it as well. Barely a month from having the new windows and the temperature is already dropping, the windows are filled with moisture in the morning. These Windows were to replace very old windows that had drafts and were not energy efficient. The company promised all my issues would be resolved by getting these new windows. My home is still cold, not that I expected the windows to magically fix everything but I dont expect new windows to have the amount of moisture on them like these do. I feel like I was robbed by this company, they promised a product of good quality at a very expensive price and I feel like I received a product that I will have to replace very soon costing me a lot of money. I would like for the company to either replace the product with the windows they promised I would have or cancel the finance I obtained to pay for windows.Business Response

Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.
The experience you are having with the windows installed in your home is condensation and is not the result of a product defect or installation error. New, energy efficient windows, when installed properly, eliminate the passage of air and moisture through and around the window openings. This means that any excess humidity in the air inside or outside the home is no longer able to escape. If there is enough moisture in the air inside the home this will cause condensation to develop on the surface of the windows. This is the exact same effect as when you take a soda can out of the refrigerator and leave it on the counter. Moisture condenses on the outside of the can, leaving water droplets on the cans surface and on the counter beneath the can. Windows do not create moisture, nor do they eliminate it, and the only solution to eliminating the moisture that is condensing on the interior of the windows is to reduce the amount of moisture in the air inside the home. This effect and possible remedies were discussed over the phone between you and a Power representative on 11/15/2022.
For additional information and tips for resolving your concerns, Power has attached links below. One is directly from Pella, the manufacturer of the windows installed in your home, explaining the exact situation you are experiencing, and one to the EPA's website that may be able to point you in the right direction in terms of potential fixes.

Several years ago, we had Power Home Remodeling (then Power Windows) replace all the windows in our home. We paid for a warranty as part of that installation. Roughly 2 years ago, we realized that the seal in ALL of the windows had failed, and buildup between the panes occurred, so that ~none of the windows are transparent anymore. We called them, they came out in May 2021 and inspected the windows. They acknowledged it is a warranty issue, and put in a claim to get them all replaced. At that time, I was told it would take a year (May 2022) to replace them. Later in 2021, I was told it wouldn't be until August 2022. When I called in July 2022 to check, they confirmed the August delivery date to their warehouse, but because of the # of windows, couldn't book me until October. They scheduled the install for 10/18/22, to arrive at 8:30am, and would install all in 1 day.I called the week before (10/12), to check on status, and they confirmed the 10/18 date and time. However, the very next day they called and left a voice message (that I didn't get until after the scheduled date, due to an issue on my end), and canceled the 10/18 appointment. They now say they have no date for receiving my windows or for when they'll get replaced, even though it's been 18 months since they acknowledged the warranty issue.I recognize there are global supply chain constraints, but I have to assume they are prioritizing new installations to get new money, and de-prioritizing my warranty issue.I constantly get flyers from their competitors about new window installation, so how bad could the supply chain be? If it's just an issue for their company, I'm happy for them to pay one of their competitors to install new windows in my house.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:My warranty claim was made in May 2021. I find it hard to believe that every single window installation performed by your company from May 2021 until now was from an order placed prior to May 2021. If a single order that was placed AFTER my warranty inspection in May 2021 will be completed prior to my warranty claim, I find that unacceptable. As stated in my original complaint, I have to assume that you are prioritizing new sales over my warranty installation so as to bring in new revenue, rather than fulfill your warranty obligations. Are you really saying that your new sales are taking 2 years to be fulfilled?

Good morning,
Power is partnered with several window manufacturers, all of whom are working through similar supply chain and logistical challenges. While manufacturing lead times between different manufacturers vary, the product warranty is provided through the original window manufacturer and only the original window manufacturer can produce replacement product or material for their windows. Different products have different manufacturing lead times and different manufacturers currently have different manufacturing lead times but generally speaking, similar products from the same manufacturer are being produced and delivered in a first in, first out method. However, that does not mean that an order for one product at one manufacturer will delay the manufacturing of a different product by a different manufacturer and therefore it is still possible that more recent orders to one manufacturer may be produced and delivered sooner than older orders to another manufacturer.
Regardless of which manufacturer is responsible for replacement service parts at a particular home, Power continues to deliver on it's warranty promise to it's customers every day and continues to work with all of it's manufacturing partners to reduce lead times on both new and service orders as much as possible.
Thank you,

I had windows installed last year. I have filed a claim with the warranty department. I scheduled 4 different appointments to have the window replaced. 3 of the appointments they did now show up or call. 1 of the appointments they brought a wrong window. On September 20, 2022 a dumpster was removed from my driveway that was provided by Power Home Remodeling. Upon removal of the dumpster part my pavement was broken. The gentleman that removed the dumpster told me that there was supposed to be some wood placed underneath the wheels so this would not occur. I was not aware of such a thing. I've have been in contact with Power about the matter. I've sent pictures right away. I've sent emails corresponding with the warranty department and No One has reached out. Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.
Power has received the photos of the damage to the driveway that occurred when the dumpster was either dropped off or picked up from your home. Power does not own or supply it's own dumpsters but rather partners with a broker who is responsible for the dumpsters and the deliveries and pick ups.
