I purchased windows for my home (from then Power Windows & Siding) in November of 2010 that came with a lifetime warranty. In August of 2021, I reported a major defect in one of the windows (a large 3-part slider). I believe it is a broken seal, and the window appears cloudy, scratched and discolored. I was told by several representatives of the company that this is a common problem. When reported in 8/2021, I was told my replacement would take about 6 months to come in because of delays due to the Covid pandemic. (These windows are manufactured in the same state I live in, about 1 hour away.) Since then, I have called multiple times to check on my window, but the time frame keeps changing. First it changed from 6 months to 6-9 months, then 9-12 months, then 12-15 months, and now I am being told it will come in January of 2023. There is no reason for such a long delay, no explanation is given, and they will not allow me to speak to a supervisor. They keep saying someone will call me back (nobody does) or "they will only tell you the same thing". They will not even tell me the name and contact information of a supervisor. I am expected to just keep waiting with no expected delivery date. It has already been 15 months as of November.Business Response

Good afternoon,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.
The replacement window sash order for your home was placed with our manufacturer and we are still waiting for the order to be completed and delivered. Unfortunately, because of raw material shortages, labor shortages and logistical constraints that both our manufacturer and their suppliers are experiencing, lead times on manufactured parts have extended beyond what we are typically accustom to. Furthermore, these lead times are rarely consistent and can make predicting completion dates for a particular order very difficult. It is for these reasons that the order for the replacement sash is taking so long to arrive at our local installation office in Philadelphia. While we continue to work diligently with all of our manufacturing partners to reduce lead times on manufactured goods as much as possible, we must in the meantime follow the current best guidance that Power is provided on expected lead times.
At the present time your order is scheduled to be delivered to our local office in Philadelphia later this spring. As soon as your order is delivered, a Power representative will be in touch with you to schedule the replacement. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue with the windows in your home.
Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
2 years is not a reasonable time to wait for my window. If I were a new customer you wouldn't tell me it takes 2 years for my new windows to arrive. This is more of the same pushing back the time frame each time since August of 2021. 2 weeks ago a representative told me January and now you're saying late spring. Why would I believe that my window will ever be delivered?

Good morning,
Power orders, schedules and installs replacement service sashes for its customers in need of service repairs every day. Unfortunately, manufacturing lead times and various other temporary constraints do not allow for replacement sashes to arrive and to be installed as promptly as we have seen in the past. This does not mean that it does not happen, however.
A Power representative will be in contact with you once the replacement window sashes for your home are manufactured and delivered to Power's local installation office.
Thank you,

After spending an enormous amount of money on a large window/door replacement project, our large bay window has been taking in water in the corners. After several attempts to reach them by phone, I started to email them. Robert K***** responded weeks later, stating "I thought I reached out" on 8/24/22. The crew came on 9/7/22 and siliconed the picture window area which made no sense to me as the water is leaking on the edges. I again email him the same day, then on 9/13, then on November 16th. Still awaiting a response. The email is also cc'd to Andrew s**** [RVP of installations]. Still NO response. This is very unprofessional, that a Large company as PHRG doesn't employ personnel who are responsive in a timely fashion. Furthermore, they purposefully don't give access to customer satisfaction/excellence personnel, or corporate phone numbers. I would stay away from this company. They know how to call you as many times as needed to initiate the sale, but service is extremely poor and unresponsive.Business Response

A Power Installation team was on-site most recently on 9/8/2022 to resolve the concerns with the bay window. The representatives that you spoke to that scheduled the 9/8/2022 service appointment and the 8/8/2022 both work in Power's Warranty Service department at our national headquarters. Since the completion of the 9/8/2022 service, Power has not been notified of any ongoing concerns with the window. If you are continuing to experience an issue with the bay window, please reach out to Power's Warranty Service department at the phone number below and a representative will be happy to assist you.

Power home remodeling group installed a new roof on our home shortly before the winter season of the year 2021. In June of 2022 with summer around the corner we called our HVAC mechanic to perform the routine annual check of our central air conditioning system. This routine check is performed yearly including the summer prior and everything was in working order. In June of 2022 the HVAC mechanic discovered that a pipe had been punctured by a nail from when the new roof was being installed. I contacted Power home remodeling about the damages and they directed me to send them documentation and an explanation of what happened. I sent the email along with pictures, the hvac report and the invoice of money that I had to pay to fix the damages caused by the nail from the power home remodeling roof repair. Power home remodeling delayed responding and I had to call several times over a week to speak with someone in authority. The representative I spoke with insinuated that we were trying to deceive them just to get money and that they were not responsible for the puncture caused by the nail from their roof repair. This event has made it difficult for us to make payments to our financier coupled with other expenses that we have.Business Response

Attached is a photo that was provided to Power when it was discovered by your HVAC company that a freon line had been punctured. The nail that punctured the freon line (circled) is a white trim nail and not a galvanized roofing nail that was used during the roofing stall that is also pictured in other areas. This nail is also pointing up, rather than down like the roofing nails, further indicating that this nail was securing either the soffit or the trim near the freon lines. The freon line in question is routed up the side of the house and through the soffit that these trim nails secure to the house. Because this is is a different kind of nail, securing a different product to the home, Power did not take responsibility for the damaged freon line.

We used power home remodeling company The process of financing was fine. The installation process was good, the guys were friendly and worked long hours and weekends. I did have two issues, one was our front window which the workers were arguing about being installed incorrectly in Spanish. I speak Spanish, but never tell anyone just in case. So after they left I let my husband know and it was very wrong. He told the guys and they disagreed and the project manager was brought into it. Ultimately is was fixed. They also put siding over our air vent for our downstairs bathroom and never cut or replaced the vent. Which brings me to now. When I pay 50,000 dollars for work, I expect a follow up to discuss the job, go over finishing, and fix any issues. We waited 8 weeks, no one called. I called them and was told there is an entire department whose job it is to follow up. I finally had someone reach out and schedule my follow up. That day no one showed. I called to complain about the no-show-no-call and the gentleman was combative that he called us to say it was raining and he couldn’t come. My husband and I both have ******* and had no missed calls. Each time they have to schedule someone it’s WEEKS/MONTHS before they can actually come. Then we got a new guy to come look, he checked everything out and said he’d get to work fixing the vent and some minor caulking/finishing stuff we needed fixed. Now this gentleman has been giving me a run around for WEEKS. I have texted him and worked with him via text several times and let him know that eventually I would wind up reaching a breaking point and leaving negative reviews. Here we are, after all this time, all these chances. My bathroom vent is still sealed up with siding. I will NEVER use power again. I will go out of my way to tell everyone I know to also not waste your money. Once the job is done, that’s it, good luck!Business Response

Power Remodeling continues to have practical business protocols. The windows I purchased were way over priced and I felt like I was strong-armed into the purchase with a lot of promises from everyone that came to my house and they have consistently not delivered. I have had a screen that was supposed to be replaced for over a year and they are telling me that it will take 4 more months for it to come when someone comes out to look at the shabby work that was 3 times as costly as other companies for the trim on the bay window. The windows have been installed for less than a year and the trim is already peeling. However, by the time 4 months pass, the winter season will have gone by and all kinds of wetness and debris will have gotten into my exposed window. They continue to make promises, apologize, say they are going to send someone out, and make more promises. This is not buyers remorse, it is being taken advantage of by company when I tried to take them at their word. Now I am out of a lot of money and continue to get a bunch of apologies and promises of "This is the best I can offer" words. It is hurtful and frustrating to be taken advantage of when money is so hard to come by and trust is even harder.Business Response

We agreed to purchase Windows and doors on 7/18/2022. We were advised, by *******************, their sales rep, that everything would arrive and be installed the same day, and most likely not until September, as the front exterior door was custom. The installers arrived on 10/12/2022, with only two of the 3 Windows and the sliding patio door, and we were told that there was a backorder on the front entry door, and that the front picture window was in, but could not be located in the warehouse. Power home called to reschedule the remaining installation for 11/21/2022. Today the installers arrived with only the door, and we were told the remaining window was still at the warehouse. We sent the crew away, and told them "no installation until all parts are on the premises." After numerous calls back and forth we were told, we could not pay only for what has been installed so far, that we could not cancel the missing door and window, and that the window was in fact "NOT" at the warehouse, and must be reordered. This soonest they could complete the installation would be December 15th 2022.After numerous calls between the company and myself they sBusiness Response

Two years ago, I contacted Power Home Remodeling for a warranty claim to replace a window. Eight months later, the installer arrived with the wrong-sized window (that didn't match any of the windows in our home). This window has still not replaced and the double-pane is filled with condensation. Earlier this year, I called to report another window had popped its seal under warranty, and that one has also not been replaced. We have not heard from Power Home Remodeling in over six months, other than their business development sales department wanting more sales. One of our windows has been inoperable for two years. This is inexcusable.Business Response

In March of 2022 a salesman approached us and offered to replace our windows with a lifetime warranty. On June 22, 2022 the installation occurred. The wrong picture window was installed, a window that was supposed to be replaced was never replaced, no furniture was covered so there was drywall debris, sheet rock dust, metal shards from windows, and asbestos debris from asbestos shingles being cut into all over our house, beds and bathrooms. Glass remains around the perimeter of the home. Screens are broken since install and all windows were caulked to the brown shutters using white latex caulk. Five weeks passed and a project manager finally came to the home after several attempts to resolve the installation were made via email and phone call. She took pictures and assured us they will expedite the windows that need to be fixed and replaced, will have a company out to clean the glass from the perimeter of home and fix all the sloppy issues left from their installers. It is now 4 months later and no contact has been made by Power Home to resolve any issues.Business Response

Windows have leakage and are ,foggy where I cannot see out of them. I first complained about it in March of 2021 and they still haven't fixed it. Its almost 2 years and I am still waiting for the replacements as per the lifetime warranty. Everytime I call they keep pushing the installation back stating they are having trouble with production from the manufacturer. Yet they are always in my neighborhood in for new installations. The latest replacement date is now sometime in January 2023. They also said they would contact/call but they never did. I always have to call them.Business Response

A piece of my siding flew off the house and landed in my backyard. It fell off from right under the roof. I called twice to get the issue addressed and get someone to come out to fix it. I was not asked for my name, address, phone number, or any other information to even pull up my account. I explained that the piece of the siding came off and was then told the earliest someone would be able to come out was "APRIL 26 2023", almost a half a year from now, for something that will take minutes to fix. I was told "people needed to get trained first" which is why i have to wait so long.... Excuse me??? After spending nearly $40.000 on the siding, that is completely unacceptable. There have been several issues with this company since day 1 and several issues where someone needed to come out to fix the siding. Winter is coming and there is absolutely no way that my house wont suffer from other rain, ice or snow damage by leaving the part of my house exposed for almost 6 months. Needless to say, there was no confirmation or email or any other communication. This is simply unacceptable! I truly regret ever letting this company in my house.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Someone from Power called my husband to let him know you were coming out on 12/5 for the repair. He received another call on 12/2 to confirm the appointment and of course nobody showed up on 12/5 and I am not getting any responses, callbacks or any other information. You did send a salesman on 12/5 though, wanting to give me an offer on window replacements.
As soon as I mentioned that the repair guys were supposed to be here that same day, he left to talk to his “team leader” and never came back with an update as promised. Just another point added to the list of unacceptable behavior.Regards,
